We really like Camp Richardson in the fall. Fallen Leaf Lake is also beautiful. Nevada Beach is great, just very hard to get a spot there.

Prices have definitely increased.
0:14 - 4 seasons, winters r mild, ave. snow 22 in. Low ave. temperature's 19 degrees. Snow melts quickly. 1:00- ave. summer temperature around 89. 2:45 - Carson City's centrally located. In undr 30 min. u can b in Lake Tahoe, Genova or Reno. Capital so offers employment. (3:06) - small town feel but big enough 4 opportunities 4 jobs, school, dinin n shoppin. 3:17 - rabbit brush problem, criminals around N. Nevada, lots of casinos. No state taxes.

There's very little work and I've found very few rentals I could afford.

I have a fantasy about winning the lottery and buying the J. Arendt Jensen house as it was my 2nd great grandfather’s property. He sold the property to Jensen in 1909 before moving to Klamath Falls Oregon.

There are no jobs here. I've been here since 1999 worked temp, a couple of non-profit but didn't last. Don't move here if you have an Asian last name your an outcast they are red necks. I have excellent working skills from silicon Valley no jobs. I am sorry I moved here.
SLT is a terrible place to live, its basically the east bay tourist destination complete with east bay pricing,crime and filth!

I really enjoy staying in the Minden/Gardnerville area at the CVI RV park and would love to move here someday. The climate is great and the small town feel is as well. Unfortunately a newer nice Townhouse is 500-600k. Houses much more. Thanks for sharing

Carson City is depressing. Tahoe is so nice and green, then you drive down to Carson City and its brown and gross. Too many meth trailers. I'm sure parts are nice, it just wasn't for me.

What is the prognosis on scorpions in the area? Wife is concerned.
There are scorpions in the area, however I personally have never seen one. They tend to be on the outer areas that have more of the desert landscape. Hope this helps and thanks for watching!

Minden Gardnerville has a low crime rate I don't think there's really a bad area

Prisons in only two locations. I live by one of them. They are not an eyesore. I've lived here since 69, I don't even notice them anymore. I like Carson City, but if you don't, move. And if you do move here, because it is a great place, assimilate into the city, don't make it what you left.
