I really enjoy staying in the Minden/Gardnerville area at the CVI RV park and would love to move here someday. The climate is great and the small town feel is as well. Unfortunately a newer nice Townhouse is 500-600k. Houses much more. Thanks for sharing
Lived in Minden for one year (2004-2005). Locals don’t welcome anyone coming in from Southern CA. Too much drug abuse at the High School, so we packed up and returned to San Diego. Gardnerville and Minden are nice to pass through on the way to Lake Tahoe or Reno, but not to live. Important: if you’re passing through on the 395, observe the 25 mph speed limit as the local Smokey will write you a speeding ticket.
There are scorpions in the area, however I personally have never seen one. They tend to be on the outer areas that have more of the desert landscape. Hope this helps and thanks for watching!

How much snow do you get there?
Usually just a few inches and then it melts within a couple days.
I miss visiting my brother there. He lived on Gilman Avenue
You should come for a visit. Plenty of places to stay and lots to do during the summer.
