    i agree, i'm not even that unhappy with the time i spend on the game, but i really want something more out of the character i just pulled, the cycle you described about clearing moc and then being done is too real. i know other games also let you go on dates or touch the character youve pulled. i don't think it would suit hsr, but it's another nice way to spend a bit more time with them and get more out of your pull. i honestly don't really know what to do with my character after i pull them, sometimes i've even just logged out after getting them and disappeared for weeks. i think letting the player grind unique cosmetics is a good idea, especially if the grind requires you to do something specific (new content) simulated universe would also be a better stretch goal if we weren't forced to do an easy version of it every week, i had some fun with the higher difficulties of swarm but now im really tired of it.

    I’m all in for new endgame content. But I think specifically *YOUR* problem from what I saw was that you don’t have *enough* (limited 5-star) characters to level up. You only have 13 limited characters so I can imagine that you’re already done 10/10/10 on their talents etc. I don’t know if you’re a F2P player since the game launched or got some eidolons or 5-star lightcones or something. But I’m also a day one player and I haven’t missed a day since I started. But I buy the monthly and the battle pass. I never topped up I only got one limited 5-star lightcone. And I have soooo much more limited 5-stars than you. I can barely get ahead of leveling them nvm maxing them or farming relics. So I’m not specifically bored, because I have nothing to do. Currently I haven’t even 8/8/8 my Lingsha yet, because I was already prefarming for Rappa. I’m glad that we only get one limited 5-star next patch, because I need more time to raise existing characters. 😅 So maybe your solution is to buy the monthly pass and *not* pull for lightcones and eidolons and pull for new units instead, because it will take more time to raise them. 🤷🏽‍♀️ So tell me what it was, bad luck or pulling on lightcones and eidolons for your characters? 🤔

    This video was a weird flex. I've spent the last 9 months farming Acheron/FF/Fei relics and my Acheron barely hit SS relics while FF and Fei are only S tier relics. Relic farming does need some fixes because the ~4% chance to roll a speed substat sucks. In the same time I spent farming Fei relics to S tier I geared 11 characters in Wuwa without ever farming echoes at all. Just doing quests/hunting chests. I don't even want to play Fei anymore after getting her e0s1 and spend 20k relic remants + 33 self-modeling Resin to barely get her relics into S tier. I kinda wonder why I even bother with relics because my Acheron was still easily clearing MoC12 with full stars on C tier relics. A MoC designed for it to be easy to clear with her. An ER regen relic with a speed stat is rarer than pulling a 5* character, that really expresses everything wrong with HSR relics.

    tbh Hoyo designed the game to be sort of a side story for their Honkai series, it just happened to become WAAAAY bigger than they even thought, as a result the limitation of this being a turn base RPG is that it is sort of fated to be a side game compared to something like Genshin or Wuwa.

    Rn im trying to get all SU achievements. Im kinda stuck with one that says "win 25 battles while using this die", as if you just battle elits, the chance of enough battles is lower, but rewards are higher.

    the Arknights module idea is definitely welcome for HSR. powercreep has been insane and various characters could use QoL or DPS upgrades give Bailu's skill a cleanse, give Arlan an extra passive where he deals more damage with all HP he lost this fight (up to a cap), give Dan Heng a buff where after using ultimate he gains % wind pen, Welt shreds enemy Imaginary resist if the enemy is slowed, Wind Sheer applied by Sampo's E is now permanent, preservation trailblazer gains a much bigger shield, ...

    The saving I do tends to just be a patch in advance at most. Like how I started saving for Raiden in Fontaine even though I might not have had enough to also get Nahida. Or recently for Xilonen. Still, I'm only a year or two into the game and I'm mostly focused on getting more characters in general. Charlotte or Heizou for example. I didn't even get my first C6 until recently.

    Well, you can pull a character later on, but what about powercreep? Most of the characters become useless by the time they get a rerun. As someone who plays from launch I also have friends that started recently, asking me about who should they pull and it's a really though question if you are not a meta player. What if someone likes Seele on the start of the game? And if i tell them to pull for whoever they like it would be a very bad suggestion, because Seele can't clear current endgame and story content at all (aside from simulated universe). I, myself have been pulling only for the characters i like, but it doesn't seem to be an option anymore. (i didn't like aventurine and oops! every single team in endgame content needs him) It would be cool if you discussed this topic too. Great video anyway.

      @kizunakun8217 hey, appreciate the watch on the video! imo, that kind of question can still be answered by the criteria I laid out in the video - if you want to clear end game content, then kit is going to be an important part of your decision making. If you just want to clear the story and make your favorite units strong, the other 3 will be more important. Just have to categorize what you want to achieve into the category and make the decision based off that.

    Just make the pokemon event a permanent game mode and make a mechanic where you can catch enemies that are near defeat in combat or smth on the every day life. Then you can make an online pokemon-like game, make some character-monster syncs for special boosts or smth and make ways to increase friendship with the monsters you catch. This is probably stupid, but I think this is nice.

    I'm slowly getting fed up by the powercreep. My beloved units from the past are so insanely powercrept that I can't use them at all without seeing them have a hard time clearing end content. every time a new character comes out, for a while they clear moc so well with all the buffs directly targeted towards buffing the new unit. and in a few patches they get powercrept. ex: firefly implanting fire weakness with her skill was already enough for me because pulling characters for weakness coverage became completely pointless. and also the new moc buff is literally two toughness bars with more break dmg.

      I'm interested in this issue, when I say I like the powercreep to others, they'll be angry. I assumed that they're waifu lovers or something. How about you? For me, the more powerful the future character, the easier for me. If Rappa powercreep firefly I'm very happy, because firefly can already clear the moc 12, if rappa is stronger than her, then it'll be easier for me and firefly can be what she is, it doesn't make her weaker or something. So, is there something else? What character you're using right now?

      @@kokoro212 firefly and rappa are similar in gameplay and also benefit from break buffs in end game content. if we get into 3.0 and the meta changes. who knows if firefly, boothill, and rappa will suddenly feel like they’re not clearing the end content easily anymore. the overarching problem isnt that there is powercreep, it’s that the powercreep margin is so large and done so fast

    My personal criteria for deciding who to pull: Do i like the character?, if no then skip, if yes then Is the character gonna benefit my account?, if yes then i pull That's why I'm never gonna pull for Topaz or Yunli, i hate them with a burning passion in the story, and while i like Sparkle, i also hate hypercarry teams so unfortunately i doubt I'm ever gonna pull her. But there are some characters i would pull purely just because i like them, like Firefly (i would have pulled her even if she was bad), 5* Herta when she comes out, and fucking Screwllum IF he ever becomes playable, like goddamn Hoyo, you let Sunday out of your basement, what about us Screwllum fans though?

    Honestly, im happy with HSR being "login, play on auto in the background for 5 mins, log off" I installed HSR because of this, this type of gameplay is what i wanted from the game and it delivered. If you're finding yourself wanting more, there are different gacha games you can sink your time into, or better yet, find an MMO and grind for hours a day

    i did NOT expect the comments to be like this... I have been thinking the same thing for months now, if you're a new player, you'll likely get to the point of having nothing to do pretty fast even, i made a alt account and ended up having nothing substantial to do within about 2 months. I get the game is still relatively new but we need more content i agree.

At the end of the day, the video is just a presentation of my thoughts on it, and I'm sure there'll be someone that will do the same in the future with their own video.

    I say there needs to be a perfect balance of time commitment, rewards, and enjoyment for HSR. More modes is a easy solution, like SU or even more endgame moc content (although they're all pretty boring). Maybe mini pvp modes like that bird event or TCG? I didn't like it but I know a bunch of people did enjoy it and it never hurts to have MORE content for a change.

    I imagine most players would hate the idea of tier item, most gacha gamers are casuals, they would hate the idea of too much to do like something in MMOs, gachagamers and MMO players are 2 completely different demographic.

    this is a situation as somoene who frequnetly takes breaks, does not come into that often. though, with a game like genshin, these frquent breaks resulted in me dropping the game for a while bc of the overwhelming content i 1. missed out on 2. just have a bunch to get throug. i did miss out on smething and rewards in hsr, but it doesnt bother me nearly as much aas genshin. wich is probs why i keep coming back to hsr much more than genshin. but i rlly think the exploration is lacking. i know their intentions isnt genhin level of open world, and that's ok (though if i had the choice to make one a proper open world, i'd choose hsr :o i just prefer the space setting more). but i just feel like there are areas that could have a little more, sometime's it feels barebones. like oh "they could have made this alley accesible" or something. small changes that would bring (at least some more playing time) but also make it come to life even more and make me *feel* like it's a real setting even more. but i've got quite a bit too do, this isnt eactly a problem i face rn. so i feel like adding slightly more accesible areas and exploration would only be a short solution to keep players who have already exhausted everything else :p

    Basically you ran out of things to do (based on your goals), but would be interesting to see the average level of completion of all accounts, since different people have diffrent goals and approaches. (You probably are in like less than 10% of players?) Hoyo games are super casual and as mobile/gacha games they are meant to be played at different paces, you talk about the Genshin ring thing which is something that they implemented like 4 years after lunch? Last year Genshin was worse than HSR in that sense, since besides the huge exploration (which is cool and one of their main appeals) they only had Abyss. Personally i think HSR has enough content, take the chance to focus on another game or hobby until the new update.

    Amazing video! As my experience, this is the paradox of Gacha games, contentwise and characterwise, once you get your perfect 2 team for all the endgame and catch up in the missions/story it gets like this. There is no Gacha game that was able to fix this (and for character is powercreep but if is a healthy way it needs to be slow and i am talking about other methods) the best way to enjoy the game again/getting into full goal mode is, no joke, taking a 1 year break (until the next anniversary) being blind to all content, once you are back, you probably need to build a new 2 teams and enjoy all content with new mechanics, the player is always ahead of the content no matter what, even the best pace game has this issue. Luckly for HSR the only thing you are missing are Jades, all events are stored and once you are back, you will be really behind, and thats what you want, that spot where you feel that you have goals again.

    I woulden't mind some randomized dungeon content. Not just rooms with enemies in them like SU/DU - but some of what you're suggesting is actually a turn off. I don't need to do collectables again. More exploration content with combat in it that grants more abilities to fine-tune our relics for less overall RNG on that would be my suggestion. I'd love just an exploration tower that you could take in phases that randomized peridotically like some of our endgame content that was just an explorable dungeon with RNG enemies and room placement. Less moving pieces on a chess board and more actually exploring an area, with progressively harder bosses that took effort to clear each rotation, and raising difficulty structures much like what we have with Divergent Universe expansions. That would be worth the development investment, I feel. Good Video. I was expecting something different (like variety of characters and party types, which we have plenty I think, and more that we can fill in on.) Glad to see this being a discussion about making content itself variable.

    Your take is completely fair. People who have time on their hands would love to play more and clear more content. But people who have less time on their hands would love to not miss out on those things either. This is why I tend to log into HSR whenever I have a bit of time. It takes minutes to grind with auto, and that’s it-you leave the game. I feel like HSR is more catered to being a "side game" than something you would play constantly. The time consumption part is the reason why I left Genshin in the first place. I'm mostly busy with college studies and barely have time to play games, but if I didn't miss out on a ton of content that the game provides, I would have a better experience overall. This may be a skill issue on my part, but I still have many areas of Liyue at 30% exploration or less because I just don’t have time to play for more than 30 minutes. So, HSR seems more targeted toward people who don’t have much time but still want to enjoy a game. It’s fair that you and many others want more content, but there’s also the issue of "FOMO," right? Sorry if the comment is too long-I just wanted to express my opinion. By the way, I love how open you are about the community, and genuinely, keep up the good work, man!

Yea, one of the main points I was trying to make is that any content like this should be permanent, so that for people that don't want to or don't have time can come back to it when they do - that way how much time it takes up in total doesn't really matter as it could be chipped away at overtime.     I'm with you in having something more to engage us. Like, my high point I think was just farming for materials, equipment, and summoning stuff for Firefly (because I'm a simp, OKAY?). But after that... mmm. I mean, the happenings in the Loufu are fine, the stories are still well crafted (Penacony is still, so far, imo, their peak). But I keep asking myself what am I doing logging into the game? Especially when you're in your 40s, leisure time suddenly seems finite. I really don't know how I got to devote so much time to my hobbies even during my mid-30s. Same thing with ZZZ. After the Sons of Calydon/Outer Ring arc was done - and what an "end credits" scene that was - it's just... back to grind. You're only logging in so your batteries don't go to waste. Even then, there are days you're just, meh, so what? And it's not just Hoyo's gacha. I've kind of lost much interest logging into WuWa these days. In my case, I think I just want opportunities to explore the universes? Little lore stuff. They don't even have to be quests/missions, just scatter lore stuff all over the place as books, data entries, or whatnot. Or, yeah, make them sidequests. I don't know. Make me want to live in the world. Make me want to at least plug in some money for that daily paid drop. With three active gachas (I stopped playing HI3 again, sigh), I don't even have time to play them all. There are nights I don't even play them at all. But I was awake until 4 in the morning doing missions in the old HBS Battletech.

    I don't really plan my pulls, since my account is seemingly blessed by the gacha gods, and EVERY single 5 star i have gotten (besides seele, firefly, feixiao, and luocha) have all been under 50 pity, and were all 50/50 wins. It's been this way ever since I lost to keqing and jean on 2 SEPERATE ACCOUNTS for Father. Every single 5 star on Hsr, Genshin, and even WuWa have been early and were 50/50 wins. I'm hoping to get both Aventurine and Acheron on their upcoming reruns, while also somehow getting Rappa, but I won't risk it and just skip Rappa entirely. TL;DR: Just be lucky lmao

    Silverwolf invites us to beat her in Honkai: Brawl Rail lol. All jokes aside, this video is definitely personalized. That doesn't mean it's bad, I'm just pointing it out. I agree that there isn't much to do in HSR and it's true. What makes a game fun or enjoyable is subjective, it's the games we play that make up our personalities. At this point, I might as well make a game because the games I like aren't doing it. Great emphasis on the "goals" there! Would definitely love more things to do. Until then, keep at em dude!

    Try off meta. I can't emphasize enough how much more enjoyable it has made the game for me. Try leveling up your 4stars, Xueyi, Sushang, Hanya, try building full speed welt so that the enemies can't attack u cause of the slows, make a break build for HMarch7th, try to make a robin dps team, or maybe lingsha blablabla. This has kept me into the game for the last 5 months approximately.

    Prespective of a newer(1.6) player on this: Personally i have a lot of difficulty with all the endgame content(MOC10 ,PF3 and AS2 is my record so far for full clearing) so i have a lot of things to strive for,it almost makes me jealous that you have too little to do. But also I've been playing genshin since 1.1 so i feel that content drought lol.

    That's why they made several simulated universe versions, try playing not meta teams. If you like the gameplay you should have fun, the gameplay is the battle system. If you are more invested in the story instead, there is no solution to that

    Nah, I think it's futile for them to give us yet another hamster wheel for us to tire ourselves on. Regardless of what they do we'll eventually get bored of it and ask for more. That's the reality of service games. I for one have stopped expecting these games to fulfill my every needs. If I want a feeling of progression, I'd just play a new game specifically a single player one so that I can move on to the next and experience something new.There's plenty of great ones out right now. I came to the realization this year after many years in the gacha just how much these games sucked the joy out of my favorite hobby by keeping me playing the same thing over and over again. I taken small steps to unwind myself from them and actually play single player games again. It's been so refreshing! I'd recommend anyone who feel disenchanted by gacha games to make a conscious attempt to reclaim their time from them.

    for me its like that i cant justify rolling for a character im a big fan of it the character is almost trash at the current point in the game, like Jing Yuan is one of my favourites unfortunately he is really not that good so i cant justify getting him, same was for acheron, i didnt like her design and her character but i figured that i had a lot of nihility characters to make her work and the damage shes doing + the overworld instant kill was the reason to get her. Now with Firefly i was interested in every aspect, i like her design, hear story / the trailers were peak fiction and she is obviously the strongest destruction unit currently in the game usable to bruteforce through any gamemode. For the upcoming Fugue and Sunday i have a really hard time because i want to run teams that are ideally from the same region / planet, sunday i was hoping for to replace my ruan mei to have a complete penacony team, but now that we now through leaks that fugue is going to be the crazy superbreak support and sunday will action advance summons, which absolutely is unusable for me. Sunday being my favorite character makes it really hard to decide if i should get him while the real Tingyun looks good and her kit has a crazy value...

    I’ve actually spent most of my time on hsr on my daily commute doing dailies and Sim U and i’ve basically ran into the same problem as you at this point i’m grinding the last rewards out of DU and GnG problem is almost anything you suggested I can’t see myself going for the DU and gng stuff is more my style but I wish there was more of it and better rewards maybe a skin for completing gng to the fullest or a nous poster or something

    Theres nothing infinite in any game whatsoever. The only types of games that come close are mmorpgs like you said or competitive pvp games but eventually the players will get bored of those anyway. The thing is, the devs can make new features (like the decorations for trailblazer's room in 2.7 that they just talked about) but those features wont come often and the players will reach the "nothing to do" phase eventually and you will complain again when that time comes. In the end, complaining about lack of content is easy, so does using a feature in other games as solution example. Actually creating those content tho? not quite as much. Dont be naive because no game is perfectly made for your desire, but you can find another game to fill the gap, maybe play roguelikes for god's sake. Also you could be more creative in terms of topic to make videos of because complaining about content is lame and typical, it just shows your lack of ideas
