I’m been on lexapro and it’s helped my social anxiety but I’ve gained so much weight 😢😢 idk what to do because I’m not happy with my weight gain but I’m mentally more stable atleast

Hi! I'll give you a couple of options based on what I would do if it were my backyard. The options 1, 2, and 3 that I'll mention here, in my opinion, would make all the difference: 1- I would really consider painting the concrete or installing a nice wooden deck along the pathway (not sure what to call it exactly, English isn't my first language, but you get the idea!). 2- I would fix the broken parts of the pergola, stain it for a nice dark wood finish (like walnut color stain), and maybe add a hammock in the front, along with a raised garden bed in the back, near the fence so you could plant some spices or herbs, stuff like that... (I recommend planting marigold with it for the bugs) 3- Another thing that would make a huge difference (speaking from my experience) is using some weed killer on the grass. I use Gramix here in Brazil, but I don't think they sell it in the USA. However, I'm sure there's something similar! 3- I do like the first option you mentioned, but I think it would look great if you added some perennial plants in different colors that are also low-maintenance, like lavender or hydrangeas. (I know a lot of options, but my mind's blanking right now 😂). I also love planting dahlias and mini dahlias because they’re don't require watering (at least where I live), and I can cut them to bring inside for decoration! I hear Americans talk a lot about yarrow, Heuchera, and Hostas, but I’ve never tried them myself. 4- I think it would be really nice to bring that existing flower bed by also to the side where the fence is (like kind of an L shape, just so you get what I'm trying to say...), that way that space with only grass wouldn't feel so empty... Anyway, I’m no expert, but I hope my suggestions help!

Gardening has become my obsession! I bought my first home 10 years ago and planning, planting, and maintaining my yard has been my hobby! Don't ask to see the inside of my house! lol. I just bought a battery powered trimmer....GAME CHANGER! I was hand pruning all of my shrubs which is time consuming. Not anymore with a trimmer!

I had one when I was 30, and it was awful. I eventually got the surgery, and now (10 years later) it hasn't returned. The first time I had it lanced at the outpatient clinic, the nurse gagged LOL.

And tip if u stain ur countertops use Lysol toilet bowl cleaner apply it directly on the spots place a wet towel let it sit for a few mins n wipe it off gets the color off I do it to my sink n my tub head rest 😱

Can I ask you a question? When I was on Lexapro, the stomach side effects were horrible. I stopped after 4 weeks. Did you have side effects daily when you were on Lex? Asking because I may need to go back on a SSRI.

i pick up my prescription today! so september 12th will be me starting lexapro! (i’ll edit this comment once i start taking it). my therapist prescribed me 10mg but recommended me to break it in half to start. but im a little scared about the side effects but wish me luck! 🩵

So that is where my weight gain came from. Ummm. I stopped cold turkey a month ago after three years @ 20 Mg per day. What a ride but I now feel great! Glad I got off of it. It did what it was supposed to do at the time that I really needed that type of support.

No medication 💊 helped me it just made worse.

It would be easier to me to cut them apart with kitchen scissors and then with a serrated knife open each one, so that you don't have that hot mess to cut when you have cooked it. Then you are not having the run over from one to the other, just a slice of slice of cheese, a slice of turkey, a slice of cheese after your mayo/mustard dressing and because you have the tops off, cook them at 350 for about 10 minutes to melt cheese, then put the butter dressing on them and cook for about 15 more minutes and you don't have all that being careful to serrate perfectly. That seems a bridge too far.

You gave me the strength to taper off of Lexapro. After hearing your story it made sense to me. I knew I wanted to stop lex but I was afraid all my symptoms were going to come back. But I felt like it was time for me to go off it. So thankyou for sharing your story. I have been off now for 6 weeks and doing well.

For sure not option 4 Great editing skills!! I would say before you start anything, get an edger and really establish lines along your sidewalk and flower beds. The half fence around your AC could be finished and you could put a shelf there for plants and what nots. Also some lighting on that half fence would be so cool. Or even make it into a little bar area! You could also get a swing that hangs from the pergola. I would make that a separate area. You could put a small water feature there when it’s hot (so many cool ideas here on UA-cam) and then turn it into a fire pit in the winter.

Oh honey… I saw the title and cackled. I got mine in college and the pain was so bad and unfortunately the smell when lanced is disgusting. My doctor said it’s weird cuz there was no hair there. I eventually got the surgery in 2021 and no more flare ups so far. I do not miss having to bend over and change gauzes.

I couldent do lexapro any more i had an allergic reaction and really bad diarrhea and extreme insomnia and loss of appetite, i couldent keep doing this for four weeks is hell...

My anxiety and depression just is hurting so bad. Feeling just so bad the first thing in the morning it starts up. I didn't want to take meds but I'm trying Lexapro...my first day today. Buspirone was okay but kept me up at night. So here I go again. If it works I'll just feel so happy to not suffer for awhile. I truly understand now anyone who is experiencing anxiety..and the depression too if it comes with it. We need to enjoy life...we deserve this.
