64 classes my ass. This game has 8 classes and 32 hybrids. Also how does a tank and fighter combine to create a dreadnought but a fighter and a tank combine to create a knight?

This video is now two years old, yet tells more more of what I need to know as a prospective new player than most vids that were only out a month. I really like how you you get right to the point. I like how you tell me everything each class is capable of according to the best information you had at the time. I was looking for the video equivalent of a D&D Player's Hand Book, and this scratched that itch. Thanks!

I play a lot of dnd and one of my favorite characters has been a dwarf multiclass fighter/wizard focusing on protection magic. Basically big bulky shield wizard. I will try to replicate that

Freeholds are a Joke! Very few players will ever own a Freehold. Per the AoC WIKI: If a player wants to achieve a freehold they can achieve the freehold, however the amount of effort resources and time that's required in order to achieve that freehold is a large amount. It is something that is a monumental achievement for you to to get that freehold; and the reason why is because freeholds tie in very heavily to the processing artisanship aspect. Some processing can be done in nodes, but the best processing is done on freeholds; and we want to make sure that there's a little bit of a throttle or gate on the amount of effort that's necessary to achieve that influence over the processing market.[14] - Steven Sharif. So yes, you can own a Freehold, but it is going to be a monumental grind the likes of which you have never seen in a game before. Remember, the real purpose of a Freehold is a throttle gate to limit the amount of top tier items in the market. And then there is upkeep on the Freehold. "Freehold tax is calculated based on the number of permits issued for buildings on a freehold". "Freehold buildings that require permits will have additional upkeep costs". i might change my mind dependent on how systems work, but currently im looking at doing a vek (orc) soulbow (ranger/cleric) with the death augments, and perhaps whatever other augments there are other than life

Hope it doesnt try to make a dumb massive world which is all copy/pasted to make it huge. Quality over quantity, or have dumb tons of class options but it's veryyy similar OR just take forever to launch and suck. And the 2016 graphics arnt going to be great...

I'm getting good vibes from this game. Seeing all the things I'm looking for in a game, hearing my much loved Aion music under the bard gives me nostalgia and even more hypes and hopes.

The problem with 64 classes cones down to one HUGE problem… balancing. The devs will spend so much time trying to balance classes it will frustrate players to the point of either leaving or constantly ditching their toons for fotm classes. All the time spent balancing will also hurt game expansions. AOC would be better off letting the player create their own classes based on available points. Locking them to certain classes is so 2015..

Unsure if it's worth following after hearing this news, I really am at a loss how could they not include tulnar catgirls? Such a shame the rest of the game looked good too..

After being disappointed by so many MMOs, I learned that the creator of this one was inspired by Archeage (RIP) and I'm very interested in the class system. Archeage's class system was fantastic imo. This one is looking great as well! Great video!

I'm always worried about how much support classes suffer when solo. Playing DPS means you can grind through content and mobs faster. While Tanks and support have a much slower pace throughout. I hope there is some kind of answer for this in this game. Either way, I'm extremely hyped for this game.

The idea of a cultist or charlatan seems really cool to me. 😎 I hope that, despite being a rogue class cultists can support at least somewhat! Otherwise I may need to level several different character classes

This sounds really awful. You want me to farm while some douchebag can attack me and steal all the hard work I've made? Do these developers even understand how word of mouth spreads? This is so freaking bad. Nobody is going to want to feed some hardcore sweatlords who gank them.
