Please let me know how to buy these I need 3
Wish this had more views/comments, we need more automation content!
Honestly, this stuff works. I’ve seen it use it. I might not use it weekly but try it out. Figure out a system, but it definitely works.
I have it on my sandbed and what looks like a dark black velvety looking substance covering my rock's.
Ok. Not sure if this is true but was told not to recirculate because yes it does remove the co2 but it does not add oxygen. Basically you are not getting fresh oxygen from the air as your tank is consuming it and you are just recirculating stale air. Kind of makes sense. ?
isnt this a home made version of a red sea media cup ?
Probably not dosing CA and ALK correctly. Shit happens. Lots of variables could have this phenomenon. But thanks for sharing. Interesting.
What's the difference between your product and a media cup you just throw some filter floss in?
I was ready to buy a new salinaty probe, BUT you saved me $209.00. Thank you for the clear instructions on how to get it fairly close. Not perfect but Im using stable .
It looks nice! You really put hard work into it.. the idea is great.. to save a lot of money… BUT, in my humble opinion, I wouldn’t buy it.. we want to make reef hobby easier, less maintenance, filter socks is already annoying changing socks every two days, but just throw in the washer and that’s it.. this one looks like changing also every two days, but more maintenance to change the sheet.. I’d rather stick to the sock. Maybe if you try an easier way, would work better! But nice job! Just need more work into it! 👍👍 keep working on it… you’ll find the way!!
Hi can you send item number for mounting clamp I try to find it but no success Thanks
Any restock soon? You got my business the hour they’re back in!

That's odd. Did you have the same issue/ever try running the scrubber without recirculating? I've had a CO2 scrubber on my tank since last August, and just started recirculating it in February to make the soda lime last longer. Haven't noticed any issues.
I’m glad I watched this video before I started to do my calibration ! Good job 👍 great information thank you
Your tank isn't level!
Are you still making these, Ive been trying to order on your site and theyre always sold out.

I used this once and in garbage. I use API way quicker and cheaper.
How much do you use per gallon?
Brother you need more flow for your sticks. The way the polys are flowing is a clear indication of not enough flow. Also put one MP-40 opposite side of tank place one on the side lower part of your tank behind the rocks , and put another on the opposite side of the tank place that one higher. This will keep detritus from forming on the bottom and create a vortex. Crank the MP-40’s up these corals can handle a lot of flow including the Goni’s they will adjust. And also put your temp at 77 degrees (slowly micro adjustments over a long period of time) you’ll have a way cleaner tank in terms of parasites and algae. Remember bad stuff incubates in higher temp.I have dove in many reefs around the world, and the amount of flow, and current these , and corals grow in is insane. I have been in the reefing hobby for over 15 years take my advice for what it is. Also look into the REEFER MOONSHINERS METHOD.
Is thsre going to be a restock for waterbox 2.75 size?

This happened to me sadly and I created the mess by adding very small pieces of new live rock like no bigger then 3 inches and a few shells and basically created a new cycle like a year into my reef tank 🤦♂️ didn’t think that little of something would make such a large difference right around the same time I added a new nem could it be irritated by all the red algey cause it won’t plant it’s foot and tries letting the currant take it to different areas but I mean in a tank where can you go 😔 i just bought this stuff recently and have been beside my self on using it but I think I’m going to give it a go thanks for this video 👍
How can I order those from you? I loved the idea!

Greetings friend, could you help me with something about the selenoid? I installed the same one that you have but I notice that it gets hot, is that normal or is there a problem, your help would be very helpful. Thank you for your time.
Couldn’t even make it through two min , this guys a fuckin idiot
All you accomplished is to show how rude and ill-mannered you are.
A live rock and some cheato, you've still got a refugium?
At about 2:58 into the video you attempted to zoom in on a coral. Could you let me know what kind of coral that is? I really like the growth and coloration. How old is it?

Thats wild. I don’t think i will spend more than 50 for an anemone.
And you sir, do not know how to party.

I just got the reef octopus brand skimmer lid for this and there’s no holes in the lid and it’s setup for this. Pretty nice.
Do you find by recirculating oxygen levels go down?
I don't think you mentioned your magnesium levels. The below is taken from Randy Holmes-Farley's article, "A Simplified Guide to the Relationship Between Calcium, Alkalinity, Magnesium and pH". "The extent to which magnesium gets onto calcium carbonate surfaces depends strongly on the amount of magnesium in solution. The more there is, the more it gets onto the surfaces. If magnesium is lower than normal, then it may not adequately get onto growing calcium carbonate surfaces, allowing the deposition of calcium carbonate to proceed faster than it otherwise would, potentially leading to increased abiotic precipitation of calcium carbonate from seawater onto objects such as heaters and pumps. Often the inability to maintain adequate calcium and alkalinity despite extensive supplementation, and the precipitation of significant amounts of calcium carbonate on heaters and pumps, are signs that the water has inadequate magnesium." reefkeeping.com/issues/2006-06/rhf/index.php
This was a huge help. Sorry that i didn’t find it until now.
Where do you purchase them

With waste away your supposed to turn your skimmer off for 8 hrs
Been watching apex videos for a year, just came across this.
this is great advice, the problem with bacteria in a bottle is there there are only a handful of strains of bacteria (maybe 3), but a mature tank will have hundreds of strains of bacteria. the biodiversity is where you want to land. I have seen and used a bacterial and carbon dosing regimen from Cruz of Elegant Corals who did a podcast on ReefDudes and anecdotally it works but macrophage bacteria will turn the pest bloom into jelly and sludge and now you got a jelly and sludge export problem on your hands that you need to deal with ASAP. So overall this is great advice just to be patient and let the tank mature via microbial succession which is a very slow process (tens of weeks unfortunately)
My CO2 scrubber bubbles just like a sheesha ;)
Is there a link to buy this?

This is very good video
Sounds like magnesium was too low, that would cause it. Test your magnesium.
I notice he doesn’t mention what his Mag is…
No magnesium as constant, I tested with trident and another cheap tester kit, was about 1450
Then the only other 2 culprits I can think of is the form of calcium additive or moisture recycling thru your scrubber. It's best to use a container as a moisturizer separator on recirculating setups that way it doesn't carry a concentrated solution back into the tank. Also check your pipes and pump, I believe Chris Meckley had a similar situation years ago with a specific calcium additive. But it's probably been 10+ years since I remember hearing about it.
I have no idea what a CO2 scrubber is? 😢
ua-cam.com/video/z4iSnH7-sgg/v-deo.html
Don't worry about it. Ya don't need it until you're growing wall to wall SPS. Juice is NOT worth the squeeze. Coming from a 8 year old experienced SPS keeper.
@@boomcar911it depends on what your PH is in your tank. I live in the city, and in Dallas. It’s 100 out, I can’t open a window and raise quickly to 8.1+ or even 7.9 without ALK buffer.
I think that people rely on chemicals and “wonder drugs” to do what nature does naturally
First, you need some CO2. Yes you will have problems if you strip essentially all of it out. Second, you shouldn’t be chasing numbers! (Should be #1) I have my sps tank in the basement and just by pulling skimmer air from outside I can maintain a ph of 8.3 to a low of 8.2 at night. My tank is over 8 years old. All I do is regular water changes and pull air from outside. Before pulling air from outside my ph was 7.9 - 7.8
I did a bit of googling and turns out high PH, high temps and differences in Calc and Mag can cause calcium carbonate to precipitate out of the water. Seems the recirculator worked too well (plus maybe some other factors)
Sorry, might’ve tried to paste the link to the article twice
Very interesting. I’m having issues like that now but my ph would only go up to 8.1.
you can overdose and it will cause that also if you don't have enough mag it can also cause it, just mentioning in case you have investigated those ideas yet.
Thank u for ur time. Top man
I am 3 years late to your video. But if you cut the end of your hose at a 45degree angle, you reduces its cross section dimension and allows you to push it into crevices that was previously hard to access.
When will these be back in stock please
