I only put the connectors on because if I was needing to take the bumper off for any reason it was easy to disconnect them from the rest of the vehicle wiring.

It's been a VERY long time since I did this and I no longer have this vehicle, but as I watched my video to see what I was saying to do, and to answer your question, you should have 1 wire from your aftermarket which triggers your screen to turn on when you go into reverse. That wire needs to connect directly to the two connector wires that the video talkes about connecting it too. I hope that made sense.

I thought I had a video on the steering wheel but I guess not. Mainly you take the steering wheel off and on the back side their should be screws, I believe, to take of the different pieces. In those pieces you take them apart and you should see the lights. To be honest with you I don't recall what lights I used as I believe they were smaller than the ones in this videos description but not sure. It's been way to long. I will say this, if you have Neverending soldered I would not recommend.

@@herbertc8864 again, since it's been so long ago since I did all of this I don't remember but I do recall that it isn't that hard to take the airbag out if you do need too

One last question.. after watching your videos, I came to a conclusion that applies to my setup I want to use. Essentially I can route the speakers from the internal amp to my aftermarket radio, apply steering wheel control to the new unit,and leave the navigation and everything else connected and hidden? You videos have given me confidence that I can do the install and your expertise in the matter is appreciated

I would do exactly what all my videos show in how to put a stereo system in the acura.

Hey Daniel, was wondering if you ended up doing your install. I added a Hertz ML Power 4 Amp with all new speakers for my 11’ Tech Package RDX. I used a Line Output converter and got the signals coming out from the factory amp. The quality is still not where I want it to be. Please let me know what you have done. Thanks 🤙

The LOC didn't seem to work right. I just got a new amp with digital processing. I got the factory amp wire coloring code from Crutchfield. It's very confusing though. I am going to try again soon. Let me know if you have any suggestions please. This is probably the hardest factory system I have worked with.

Sorry, just saw this. Advice? Take it slow and easy. All functions still worked when I had the vehicle. And yes the stereo came with its own hookups for the backup camera.

I do believe if you buy the bundle of them that is provided in the link that should be enough.

I don't recall what size I have but I do know that you will need to not only customize it but also get a stereo that is 2.5" or less deep. Not much room behind where I have mine.

I'd say if you are good at custom making/doing stuff then you should be good, otherwise, it might be tricky

There is someone, don't recall his name, that made his non tech have an aftermarket stereo. If I recall, he had to buy some of those parts, like the temp screen in order to make it work. Try and ask on some Acura Facebook groups.

I decided not to go this route. I also knew that I was going to have to customize the hole. If you watch the rest of my videos that have to do with the stereo you will see that I went head and put all aftermarket stuff in.

If I recall, I believe so. There is a small factory amp that goes in the same enclosure as the factory sub is in. As seen in my other videos, I decided to go ahead and replace the whole system.

Yes, but you'll need to keep your factory system plugged in to see the info. At least I had to on my 2007.

@@daho30 i think its going to be the same, there is not too much information about install an aftermarket radio on the first generation acura RDX.

The factory stereo is under my dash. You have to have it plugged in in order to see the temperature of your heat and A/C. I show/talk about this in one of my videos.
