I just make a new Map for each city. Then I use the Layers to categorize by Attractions, Food, Hotels, etc.. I don't really think it makes sense to use Layers for different cities considering the point of the layers is to hide and unhide different pins. If you're looking at the map in a different city, you're not going to see any of the other city's pins anyways so it doesn't really matter.

Thank you, good instructions but is it just me or WHERE do you change the color of your route from blend in BLUE to say RED? Not these straight lines from one city to another but the lines of travel on the roadways. That seems to be missing?

I am finding that video thumbnails are not showing up for the locations I am entering in My Maps. There is a text link that works but the thumbnail that is supposed to show is just black. Wondering if anyone has had this problem and has found a solution?

Just a tip for anyone who is a new zealand or australian citizen. Some countries have visa waiver agreements so that you can spend 90 days in a 180 day period regardless of time spent in other schengen countries. These countries (for australian citizens) include austria, belgium, denmark, finland, france, germany, iceland, italy, luxembourg, netherlands, spain, norway and sweden. For nz citizens it is the same along with czech republic, greece, portugal and switzerland aswell.

Great tutorial. Thank you. It's a hopeless application though, the reason I went onto MyMaps is to be able to add an entire road route with more than 10 destinations and it STILL only gives you 10 in MyMaps. Hopeless. Loved you though, thanks.
