SNARL, Saber-Toothed Tiger Puppet, How to operate and assemble this large Firebringer Puppets!
My version of Snarl from StarKids Firebringer. This giant Sabor-toothed Tiger Puppet requires Three people to operate and has some pretty cool features. including mechanized eyelids, Light-up/color-changing eyes, as well a mouth that opens wide enough to eat a person named Grunt! The ears also move. but wait, there's more, it has a wireless video monitoring system too!
It was custom-built and designed by Jantzer Studios. It was originally used by @rpgentertainment9613 for their version of StarKids Firebringer at Planet Ant in Hamtramck Michigan. It is now available for rent!
if you are interested in renting, just reach out!
I have a full Firebringer puppets package available as well as a props package for the show.

Good Job.
Hes so cute. should be in slow motion though, lol. Any hope of seeing a full video on this little guy please?
Thanks! Unfortunately, I did not record much of the process, but I do plan on making a longer video just showing how he works.
Good luck!
Thanks! Check out some of the videos of the final project on my channel!
@@JantzerStudios I did! And that mammoth looked fabulous!
@@leroyelephant thanks!
@@JantzerStudios No problem :D
Skookum!
Awesome! Really nice work! I like the tips throughout :) I learned a few things while enjoying the video. Good job with putting the video together too. Each part makes sense and is easy to watch
Thanks! Are you going to make one for the trail to Oregon?
Sadly, not this time. Not enough time to make this kind of wagon. It's for a kids camp with a pioneer theme, and we don't need someone to be in the wagon. So because of the time, we'll probably just do something more 2D possibly. If I was more handy with woodwork maybe I'd attempt it :)
❤
I did my studio a little different I mounted my stuff straight to the ceiling and added all ball heads to my strobe lights I got a 360 degree left right and 180 up and down wich is perfect for me. And I still use a c stand to do my product photos with and my camera on a ball head also got 360 degree movement and 360 up and down
Oh tutorial please
I have a longer video coming, but it's not a full tutorial on how to make it just how to operate it.
Nice job team, what size is your studio Thank you for sharing
Thanks! It's about 24 x 30 feet. But that includes the stairs and some areas with low ceilings that are basically just storage.
Do you have a list of mayerials you use? Each video is good to watch but doesn't seem to give info on materials, which makes it not so informative.
For this build, I used half-inch polyurethane foam for the under structure. You can buy it in a roll at Jo-Ann's or Walmart. You can use fleece from Joanne's hard to work with it's much better to use fleece with a knit back but that's harder to come by and usually needs to be special ordered. I would recommend checking out PuppetPelts.com .
Hey UA-cam, how come this video received over 500k views on Facebook, but you only showed it to 500 people or so? Just curious...
Anybody doing Fierbringer?
Love it!
I love this! Great job! I'm working on something for an upcoming fair, thanks for the tip. Btw love the character!

aaaaaas😢
it likes us (cute)
Oh, and your Toto is brilliant!
Thank you 😊
It does, thanks! My cousin Cathy Heman is a friend of your mom (I think) and she recommended I check out your work. It’s wonderful! I’m the Artistic Director of The Childrens’s Theatre of Michigan and I’m trying to figure out how we can collaborate some time. Keep up the great work!!!🎉
Thanks so much! I would love to explore opportunities to collaborate!
We’re up to our earballs around here with projects that’ll take up to June, but if it’s okay with you I’ll reach out then and we can talk or meet or both.
@imaginationtheatre I'm in a similar situation so that works for me. 😊
Where is this theatre?
Our production was in Hamtramck Michigan Last Summer. I'm not sure if that answers your question...
This is really good, some great tips in there!
I love your videos and can't wait to see more!
Thanks! It's good to know at least one person is watching! Lol
Oh my gosh I love them!
Thanks, I love your work!
Interested in renting it and Snarl if you've got him
Hi great! Send me an email at jantzerstudios(at symbol)gmail.com I can send you more info.
Too many Warner Brothers cartoons growing up! I thought it might actually work for a split second...
Hahahaha 😂😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Thanks for the inspiration!! Will be building something similar soon cheers!
This whole time I trying to figure out how to make rotational pivots like this with thrust bearings like a moron.
It's easy to overthink anything but especially puppet mechanisms! KEEP IT SIMPLE 😀
¡Very nice puppet!
Is there a template somewhere for the flame part?
At this point it's just a thing I drew out on some poster board . I still have it around so I'll see if I can create a PDF and share it via Google Docs. But it might take me a bit to get to it, I've got a few things on my plate right now.
really nice work.
Thanks
Omg thank you
Glad it helps😊
Rather than spray painting the welding rod black, how about using heat shrink tubing? it goes on fast and you just use a hairdryer to get it to shrink around the rod.
Yes! I have seen that trick. However, I can't seem to find a place where I can buy a large roll of heat shrink tube. Suppliers I have found are just short lengths...
Magnets! YES!
Yeah they worked out great!
Your mammoth is angry so much by it manny for ice age
It is actually for a show called Firebringer by Starkid 😀
You are handy. I don't have tools you have
so cool
Sir you are absolutely incredible I think my lights are way too heavy for this lol but man your mind to come up with this is amazing
Wow that is a big compliment, thanks. I set up like this really probably is best for lightweight home studio type lights. Wish I would have clarified that in the video.
I wish full tutorial about how make this
Beautiful work you did. Really amazing, Congratulations!!!!
Thanks so much! ❤️
That's me :)
Your famous now!
:) so proud of the JANTZ BOYS
Wanna go for a walk down the Yellow Brick Road?
So cute ❤
Thanks so much 😊🐕
That's amazing!!!!
You should do a diy tutorial on how to make your Puppet Monster
Clean it up tape it back together and fill Iit with great stuff or lock tight spray foam.
Great idea! I try that for something one day...
A jigsaws a lot faster
Omg thank you! I literally waisted sl much faux fur just from cutting it
So glad it was helpful. Some people use a razor blade to cut it from the back, but I prefer the little pointy scissors.
@@JantzerStudiosI have scissors of every size it's perfect
Make sure to check out the full video!
