Jeez, I need to try and find a DI in a close city. All I have are Goodwills, where most of the stuff DI sells for $1 are more like $3-4 at least.

The Goodwill and ARC thrift store near me do not have the same prices. They look up everything on ebay and price it. I go several days a week to find stuff and the ONLY time I find something that I can flip for a decent profit is because the store missed it. Maybe I'll have to move to Utah.

Crazy, no way, hard pass!

Location is everything. I spent about 10 hours doing research on baseball bats and golf clubs - watching UA-cam thrifting/reselling videos - and several months hitting up nearly 20 different thrift shops in a 130-mile radius. The results? Zero. Every single bat, every single golf club, for nearly 3 months in all those stores. Not a single item worth reselling. Some items are just no-goes in your area.

Sadly, by the time you notice retail items pop off like this, you've missed the boat. You need to be in-the-know and already familiar with the niche to catch such good opportunities. In addition, many Walmarts only take off 10% or so for "clearance".

I tried selling car radios for a bit, and they seemed to sell well, but my return rate was quite high on them (supposedly dead) so I gave up. Maybe try again some day.

Watch for Brahmin women's wallets and purses. Typically they are a crocodile print, big money and the Goodwills haven't figured out they are a high end brand yet. I find a lot of them priced at $4-6 and usually sell them between $100-250 depending on model and shape.

The Polaroid would be $30, Ugg shoes would be $19.99, no ski goggles in Kansas, toners are pricey, Starbucks mugs are $5.99 and up, in Kansas. You get the idea.

These are even beyond eBay prices at this point!
