(I like that you go right to the important things and doesnt spend half an hour on things that's less relevant for normal users :- ) Just bourght the Legion 9 a few hours ago, after watching and reading many reviews. Your review was one of those that convinced me. The only thing I find is different is that carbon-lid. To me its actually cool and much less 'intrusive' than I expected. But seeing images of it (pic. & videos).... I totally agreed w. you and its was in the beginning a 'no-buy' issue untill its wild specs convinced me. But in reality its nice to look at and doesnt jump-out' and scream ''gamer'', atleast to me :- ) Btw.: Do you know how to turn on all the lights at the ports on the back? On mine only the light in the power-cord/charing is on ... the small icons at the USB, HDMI etc. isnt lit up. Thanks for a very cool channel & Greetings from Denmark!

You sound like your from Chicago...I like your Gameboy and Iphone display. I just ordered the x14 13th gen i7 4050 16gb ram and 512 gb hd and Q-hd display for only 999.00 from Dell. I was torn between this and the x16 but for the price Im going to try.

Two months ago I bought a G16 with RTX 4060 and Core i7-13650HX. I think that Dell was trying to clear out stock for the next generation of laptops, so they included the mechanical keyboard and 240Hz screen for $949. I am really impressed with it!

(1)With a headset you wouldn’t be able to hear the fan. It’s a gaming laptop you usually are wearing a headset (2) you can’t carry around 5 pounds. cause the laptop Alone is pounds (should of weighed it) with the brick it’s about 7.8 pounds. Complaining about weight when it’s mostly gonna be sitting on a desktop is crazy. Yes you carry it around in a bag, but where you carrying it to, your car from the office and then your car to the inside of your house? Be real. (3) battery lasts longer than 30-45 minutes lol, bruh cmon. All the things you said was great, like it keeping up with a desktop computer and you gonna return it cause of a fan. To each their own I guess lol.

I had the x14r1 and enjoy it but ended up returning it because I wasnt financially stable to keep it (had the 3060 model) a year later I ended up buying the r2 version and love it. I like how the inside uses more of a normal hard plastic instead of that soft stuff they used on the first one and I also like the 16:10 display on this as well. These laptops are so sexy and perform well:)

RAM is never soldered on the board...that was the end of the video for me

Its a chinese laptop made and designed by chinese people. A fine machine. Nothing in america compares.

Just have to say as an owner of this laptop the front of the laptop is Real carbon fiber. Not a skin hence what makes the laptop different. Since its real there will never be a another laptop with the same pattern. Its special. Nice review :)

I recently had my m15 r4 take a powder.. dell couldn't repair it so after several repairs and replacement parts, they exchanged it with the m16 r1.. I was wondering what others thought of this model and really appreciated your review.. I am relieved to find that my m16 does not have an irritating fan noise.. it runs infinitely cooler than the m15 and x16 models.. and the display is nice too.. sound is okay, but if I want music, I will choose other options.. my m16 has nvidia 4070.. my m15 r4 had a 3070.. so that upgrade was a nice bonus... Alienware warranties are expensive, but an exchange 3 1/2 years into the warranty was very appreciated..

Hey bro I am student and 3 days a week I will be running 12 hours device per day. I don't know what i should to choose- Alienware M15 R6 or Alienware Aurora R10 liquid colling. Despite having tablet, the laptop would be a better option for me because of mobility but i am concerned about that because i don't think that laptop hooked to 4k monitor will run without loud fans. What are your thoughts? Thanks for answer. Usage: only excel and word, i don't play video games.

I loved this laptop when i had it but the battery broke down on it so i was able to use my warranty with Best Buy to get a full store credit refund. I still want a replacement that has the cherry mx keyboard and 300hz display refresh rate it has and all the features but it seems no laptops have all the same features and power at the same pricepoint these days

The screen I saw on the recent Dell Gaming Laptop was terrible, I was thinking of buying due to the low price but the screen made it not worth it and I didn't like the plastic build either

and just after the warranty expired, the keyboard quit working. I posted a video on my work around which is a pain in the ass. So frustrating.

Came here to say, be wary of your use of the mini-led.... I also work on this computer, I left my work VOIP application up on my laptop monitor nearly all day while using two others monitors for other work... well I've done that for the majority of 3 months I've owned the laptop. This was usually with HDR on, usually around 90%-100% brightness, with everything dark mode. I just realized I have pretty severe burn in at the top of the screen, goes from left to right, a long dark bluish blotchy line... and its permanent, I can tell. SO, long story short, don't run at full brightness all day with static image up. I wish someone would have put that in my head early on. No the stupid flashy pattern videos didn't work. This is legit burn in. Luckily, its at the top, its less noticeable in dark mode or with a colorful wallpaper. Also, I have Accidental protection, and I will probably have to use it, just annoying to have to set up my old shitty laptop for work. Haha. This thing is BEAST! mine is max spec, and I also put my OS on two 2TB 990s in raid 0... 13GB/s read/writes... wowzer! Also, a new BIOS update came out last month that fixed the stutter in performance mode. Pretty sure it just nerfed the voltages or speed or smtn, but now you can just set perf mode and forget. I don't run CPU overclock, and sometimes run the GPU overclock for the 4090. Also don't do undervolt anymore... too finicky, and I got a decently fast 14900hx - with OC and perf mode, I get 33.5k in cinebench (but after 2 or 3 runs, that thing's hitting upper 90s easy...degrees Celsius). anywho, that's all I came to say... LEARN ABOUT LCD BURN IN - IT IS 100% REAL AND PERMENANT... granted I probably took this screen to the extreme, or some would say, "normal use" for a damn 5k dollar laptop.... ugh

Perfect time to buy, waiting for mine to arrive. I went fully loaded and literally got way over $1500.00 off the price including Lenovo's extended warranty too. Toal less than 3200, not too bad and just the look of this laptop is sharp. I do graphics mostly, but some gaming. 🙂

Honest review, I loved every minute of this. I decided to stick with the Legion 7i Gen 9. I dont think the 4090 os nessecarry. I also dont like the extra holes that can collect dust.

Dont consider L9 now, it has dozens of issues, use these topics in google search and you will fiind all the issues, even Notebookcheck has already 2 faulty L9s. Google it: "Lenovo-Legion-9-16IRX9-Legion-9i-review-How-high-end-is-the-RTX-4090-gamer" There are countless threads about the problems with the Legion 9i. Lenovo has been completely silent for months. People, including myself, have reported buying or replacing new Legion 9i dozens of times. The problems persist. Lenovo's departments cant decide who is responsible for those issues, and blaming each other back and forth. Raw product, that costs 4-5k bucks and is well known as flagship from the lenovo's side and reviewers, which didnt pay any money for it, sure they show only the positive sides and even licking lenovo's ass to show how great their water pump is, which is completely trash, 2c difference with it, is painful to see! 1) Disabling-raid-in-Legion-9i 2) Legion-9i-inaccessible-boot-device-error-after-setting-Hyper-V-in-windows-11 3) Disabling-raid-in-Legion-9i 4) Legion-9i-Crackling-audio-through-headset-only-in-Legion-Performance-Mode 5) Legion-9i-repair-came-back-worse-than-it-was-before 6) tutter-in-Performance-Mode-on-Legion-9i-RTX-4090 7) Lenovo-Legion-9-GEN-8-9-13980HX-14900HX-4090-VMD-Issues-High-DPC-Latency-Audio-Crackling(my post) 8) stutters_on_legion_9i(sure reddit isnt the best source, but still)

The skin is real forged carbon fiber, helps with reducing some of the weight as well as being stronger than aluminum. You mostly see forged carbon fiber on exotic supercars such as Lamborghini and Ferrari.
