18" speaker for Doom? Celestion G18 Greenback Circa 1970
Quick jam on the 18" Pre Rola Pulsonic cone Greenback! These old speakers sound great, and not just for Doom. Rated at 100 watts, it sounds bigger than a quad of greenbacks and is alot easier on the wallet. This one is loaded into a custom Sourmash Plexi style 1x18, tall like the old Hendrix cabs. Amp is a 1975 Marshall JMP 2098, boosted by an OCD clone, bridge p90 pickup used here, C# tuning.

1975 Marshall JMP 2098 Demo
Переглядів 9662 роки тому
I thought i'd do a demo of this head as there doesn't seem to be any online. Made in England circa 1975, JMP model 2098 and to my knowledge the first master volume head, as well as having an effects loop. Unusually for a Solid State amp it has an output transformer, so the head impedance switch needs to be set to the cabs. This is what is referred to as a transformer coupled output, and some fe...

Amazing track off of the hugely underrated Never Say Die! album. Bill did a fantastic job on the vocals, and Iommi had some killer riffs in this one, damn shame they never played it live.... I used both pickups in series and out of phase at the same time, it gives it alot of cut in the high mids and treble, similar to a Rangemaster. Thanks for watching! Equipment was: Marshall JMP 2098 100 watt...

Kenny B Model T Pedal Demo
Переглядів 6794 роки тому
I recently received this and wanted to do a demo, it's by Kenny B Pedals here in Winnipeg. He makes some fantastic stuff! Based on a Sunn Model T, using JFET's instead of tubes. This is a quick run through of some different tones you can achieve with this, ranging from classic rock tones to full on doom! Recorded with a Tascam DR-05. I ran the pedal into a studio preamp set totally flat, no eq ...

Such a heavy track! probably the heaviest of the Ozzy era. I improvised some Iommisms for the lead parts. Thanks for watching! Played on a custom SGV with Jaydee Custom Guitars Iommi monkey pickups. This time I used a Fender Mustang V head set to studio preamp as a pedal platform, all the tone comes from a Kenny B Pedals Sabotage, his clone of a Sabbra Cadabra. great pedal!

First song they wrote as Black Sabbath after changing their name from Earth. Jazz influnce is very apparent! Played on an unbranded Les Paul SG Custom with a Gabojo p90 in the bridge. Amp was a Marshall Lead 100 Mosfet set to a plexi tone, and boosted by a Rangemaestro treble booster. I usually record audio with a Tascam 24 bit stereo recorder, I got the slapback effect in the middle by offsett...

One of the first Sabbath tunes I ever heard as a kid, after Iron Man. All guitars were recorded by me over a backing track featuring the original bass, drums and vocals. Fun to jam to! I don't have a ring modulator, so on the lead bit i tried to approximate it with a pitch shifter. Played on an unbranded Les Paul Custom with a Gabojo p90 in the bridge, amp is a Marshall Lead 100 Mosfet set to a...

Hey guys! Long time no see. I still haven't fully recovered from the severed tendon, but i'm able to play guitar again with it, yay! man that solo at the end with the bass melody is chefs kiss
Tight 4 piece

Back when Metallica weren't sellouts! Missed those days.
Outstanding video. Dead on tone and accuracy.

finally the complete version live sounds amazing like this!!! shame this version wasnt on Liveshit still awesome cheers!!!!!
ST! Nice playing, brother!
@@plasticoflamingo2952 thank you so much bro💪🏾
@@orokusaki8291 I love "Junior's Eyes". One of those Sabbath songs that just hits you, and you don't know, or care, why. It just holds a feeling.
@@plasticoflamingo2952 for me it was my Dad's favorite song. Reminded him of his Dad he said. Now it reminds me of him. It's a classic man! Kind of a cat's in the cradle thing. That album is very underrated🤘🏽
@@orokusaki8291 Absolutely!
This is a hard song. You did justice to it.
@@JamesJohnson-eu6nm thank you so much man!
Kirk on lead far right, no Dave. Old school Metallica!! Awesome!!
That guitar is stunning
Discovered this couple months ago. Ive watched from 3:50 till the end, soooo many times. The whole video is great, but The last 2 minutes just go so hard. The fact that this video doesnt have 100k+ views is criminal. Your tone Sounds so damn good. It pumps me up and makes me want to play. I can't wait until im good enough at playing to be able to play the solo you do in this. Im just not fast enough to pull off the speed needed for 2nd half of the solo
@@MichaelAMyers1957 Hey thanks so much for the kind words man! I just play for fun so it's all good haha. Just keep at it brother, the more you play the easier it gets! 🤘🏽
The slow part in the middle of Four Horsemen is the best part! They should never have cut it out.
⚡️Great🎸
Wait wait wait! Can you give the detes on that guitar? How did you get that binding so bright? Did you change the headstock? The guy in Pelican has a similar axe. Great playing by the way.
@@dbdbprairie3804 hey man! It was a custom guitar kit I ordered off of ebay years ago. Stained it and added all the hardware. SG flying V hybrid! Thanks for the kind words 🤘🏽
This single handedly killed cock rock.
One day I'll force myself to learn that solo, I cannot get a decent sounding tone for it. Also, did you swap that bridge?
@@Terminxman you can do it man! That guitar was modded to death actually. Once upon a time it was cherry red with a tune o matic.
@@orokusaki8291 Yeah I was trying to figure out if it was an epiphone or gibson iommi signature because of the crosses but the paint and bridge threw me off. I hate the tunomatic, I just picked up a gibson special sg with that and p90s
@@Terminxman gotta love P90's man! You could always plug the holes and make it a wraparound.
@@orokusaki8291 it is a wraparound, I don't know why I said tunamatic
Mine doesn't sound so distorted at full gain, what's could be the reason?
@@madalin_truica i'm not an amp tech but I've had a few repaired. If I had to guess it would most likely be a bad IC chip.

@@tristanm-v7b thanks so much! I'd like to think it's because Dave, Ron and the guys are re recording No Life Til Leather and planning a reunion tour. A guy can dream right?
@@orokusaki8291would probably end up looking like the album cover after a couple shows in the tour bus.... Do you still have the file for this? I doubt tbh bc it's practically ancient but you did a really good job doing mustaine style solos
@@tristanm-v7b honestly i'd love to redo it someday. With how good AI is at seperating audio it would sound much better. On some of the songs I did it was really difficult to make the solo section music sound exactly as the rest of the song and I was never happy with the outcome.
mind bending vibrato
