    I was under the impression that we should not be touching the tubes with our bear hand, the oils could cause issues on the glass.

      I heard that too. What you don’t see is me washing my hands. Wearing latex to replace them sucks when they are warm. You also can’t really feel the tubes with gloves on.

    Mine were rusted in place. Would not budge. I mounted the wheel directly to the hub, then used a five pound Harbor Freight dead blow hammer (orange plastic) to pound on the outer edge of the wheel. This provided enough leverage to free the hub. The backing plates for the drum brakes were rusted to the hub as well, so I had to tap on it to free it from the hub. Remember to free the sensor cable from the cable guides so it has slack and doesn't get damaged when the hub is pulled out. (2016 Fit LX with 406K miles.)

      Thank you for taking the time to describe your experience. I am faced with having to remove my rear bearings to install alignment shims on my 2015 Fit, and I found that my hubs are also rusted in place. I might buy one of these hammers to see if I can break it loose (I am trying to keep my bearings intact so I might try to hit the backing plate instead). Thanks again!

    • @flbartlett
      @flbartlett 2 місяці тому

      @@patrick19165 Don't hit the backing plate, it's thin metal and will just deform. I considered using a slide hammer to pull the hub free, but I was afraid that the bearing would come apart. Remove the brake drum, remove hub bolts, then mount the wheel to the exposed hub, then swing away. I marred up the face of the dead-blow hammer pretty bad, but no worries it has a lifetime warranty at Harbor Freight. Good luck.

    Hola, estoy reparando uno igual se escucha como ronco y se calienta la R28 de 3 ohms y las otras 2 resistencias de 330 ohms también. Será que deba ajustar el preset AP1?

    Thanks for a really useful and no-nonsense lesson on what needs to be done to fix this pedal. I was almost going to get rid of mine until I found your video. The volume drop was what really made me hate this pedal, but once I added to HiFi mod, I realized just how much the original pedal messed with the tone. Now, the pedal keeps exactly the same tone and volume level, it just adds tremolo. Like it should have in the first place.

    DO NOT DO THIS!!! this guy is just measuring the DC Resistance, not the actual impedence. There is no way to covert 4 8 ohm speakers to a 16 ohm impedence. YOU WILL DAMAGE THE OUTPUT TRANSFORMER OF YOUR AMP OVER TIME IF YOU DO THIS!!

Even if guitar isn’t connected yet. No cable it don’t make any sound other than at full throttle you hear a light hiss (normal) unless I have 6 bad cables (not happening)

    the footswitch setup is unorthodox. it's simple. Both channels red and green are on with footswitch plugged in. The middle pins are ground on the 6 pin. connect ground to the top and bottom on one side and you will get an led to light, and mute the opposite channel. So one side selects the green led and mutes the red channel, where the other selects the red led and mutes the green channel.
