Good way Dennis 2 show that idiot how smart he's not. They need to mind their own business
I thank you for those thoughts.
I know what you mean. I lost my wife in 2011 to cancer. Been pretty much lost since. Good guy, good videos ! My kind of people.
Tommy Lee Jones builds a kibler!
In another note. I got my new blind put up, it’s not as nice as yours, but it’s nice. I got out and done some squirrel hunting this morning, I got two, my buddy didn’t get any. Squirrel for supper.
Those shims are a good idea.
@@Zorbawon It works for me anytime I have more than one rifle in the same caliber but with different headspace lengths.
@@dennispritchardoutdoors7882 I am going to do the same.
Hard for me to argue with you when I agree with everything you said. No deer hunting with dogs here but I sure had some good times hunting yodel dogs with hounds. The lazy guys sat in the trucks. That wasn't me, I most often was the walker and that is were I wanted to be. Walked the dog into the woods and let them go. It wasn't long and the dog was gone to wherever but would occasionally check back as I walked long enough to say hello and be off again. When I'd hear that first yelp It would stop me dead in my tracks and just listen. Then a second yelp and a third, as they got closer together and more frantic you know the track is getting hotter and it's game on and the hart starts pumping. A lot of the time the coyote would make a big loop and come back my way. There were times when the yot crossed the road and my driver was waiting for me as I ran across the fields with snowshoes on. Nothing lazy about that. A two hour race with nothing to show for it but the smile on my face was far better than a 10 minute race with a coyote in the truck. Dead coyotes are easy to catch and if they don't run they ain't no fun. I hunted with dogs Dennis and dam it was fun so you ain't getting no back talk from me.
@@roblow5522 Thanks for sharing that. It sounds like lots of fun. Got me to thinking about hunting what the locals called swamp rabbits. They looked like overgrown cotton tails. This was in Arkansas back in the 60’s. Long hard chases through the swamps. It was done with beagles so it was possible to keep up . At least for a while. Slogging through the swamps in rubber hip boots was a mite difficult. Glad I did it in my 20’s .
Theys always some fat fella in a recliner eating tater chips that is an expert in every field and the only way anything should be done is his way. We call em funk and wagnals. Ive found out that most of the time they just watched somebody’s video they liked and now they a professional at it 😂
Hello fellow Pritchard from Australia
Love to hear those hounds on a trail hunted hounds all my life
@@walteroquinn757 It certainly is an addicting sound. Love it, be it deer, rabbits, bear , cougar, or whatever!
Greas the main spring
@@walteroquinn757 It is the recoil spring, not the main spring. However that wasn’t the problem.
@@walteroquinn757 What it actually was, and I hate to admit it, was a cracked forearm. It cracked many years ago. I intended to fix it but just never did. I bought a new one instead. As well as set of camo composite stocks that I used a lot. I took off the camo and put the wood back on it. Problem was I put the cracked one on it. Plumb forgot about the crack. Grabbed it instead of the newer wood one. Operator error.
Love you videos you keep the good work up I saw you a5 on a hunting trip in camo got an a5 3 inch killed a lot of turkeys and deer with it and hunted with dog I re load for rifle and pistols hunt deer with my 44 smith and I bow hunt 78 years old live in low country of south Carolin love you videos you are a mighty fine gentleman

Every gun is a law unto itself. We need to test and see what works best for us. Sounds like you did just that.
Clearly the person who made the comment had no clue what he was talking about
And clearly you are totally correct!!!! Thanks.
Thank you sir for speaking up for us hounds-men! Most of those people can’t hit a running deer !
@@randyhill2509 They are politically correct. Which actually means they are dead wrong.
A few thoughts, I have never hunted deer with dogs but sure would like to. But I would never hunt ducks without my dogs. Sad but we elect politicians who make laws on things they know nothing about. One more thought, watching you many times on the bench in the Quigley sighting in. Flintlocks, #1s and now shot cannons. You sir have one nice trigger squeeze. Never have I seen a single bit of movement or flinch. And flintlocks and shotguns will show it all. Good Luck on the hunt.
@@wasatchretrievers4035 I hope you get to try deer hunting over dogs someday. It is a lot of fun certainly. And duck hunting without my lab would be a real bummer. I had a great line of labs for 30 years. Wonderful dogs. When my last one died I decided to not train another one. My wife and I just got a dog to have as a pet. First non working dog we ever had. He was a black golden doodle. He was fantastic to say the least. What a pleasure. He died at 11 years old. Dian declared thst she was never going to have another dog. Three weeks later we brought home a beautiful female redhead golden doodle pup. She has been our resident Terrorist!!! But we love her and have resisted the urge to send her to Quantonimo Bay!!
I like the 2-7 scope.
@@DonaldRussell-g9t Good choice.
I used IMR 4350 in my 7-57 and a Federal 215 primer worked better than a 210 .
@@DonaldRussell-g9t That sure works for me too.

@@galenhisler396 You are spot on. Thanks.
Back in the late 80's early 90's we would travel to Calabogie, Canada to hunt deer and the guides used dogs. Some of the best hunting I've encountered. They brought out some massive Swap Donkies! We would be placed early mornings on watch lines. I doubt that outfitter is still in business. Good luck Mr. Dennis!

Is the Browning A5 action made for 2-3/4 ammo
@@eddiesrewart5849 Is is made for 2-3/4 as well as the magnum version that will shoot both 3 inch and 2-3/4.

I never hunted deer with dogs, we coon hunted and coyote hunted with dogs, it’s lots of fun. My east Texas friends hunted the pine thickets with dogs until they outlawed it here in Texas. I can see it being a way of hunting, especially when you grow up hunting that way.
You need to hire a couple beavers

A few years ago we had a good herd. Then the blue tongue hit them hard. The numbers are slowly coming back. We got more snow last night. Snow on the ground for weeks now.

Even if you didn't get a deer, you got to spend some good times with a good friend. Thanks for sharing your hunting trip.
@@UncleSasquatchOutdoors I got my limit of two bucks. I did not take a single doe even though I was allowed three and had plenty of opportunities to do so. I wanted a few doe skins to make buckskin out of. But I didn’t need to take them myself. Instead I went to a meat processor and picked up nine of them. I could have got a truck load but nine was more than enough. So I now have a total of 16 hides to work with. That is a ton of work. Take care Uncle.

That is a fine rifle, great caliber . Question: In that magazine, can you exceed 2.8 inches overall Cartridge length. I have a Browning lever in .284……and have that restriction, limiting the reloading performance capability . Thanks for the video, etc. 👍🤠
I have a Kibler Woodsrunner coming in a few days , 50cal. I hope it shoots great. I love your videos. Oh, I will be 71 in March and started muzzleloading in the early 70's.

You done better than me, i didn’t hunt the last day. I took an old cull buck on my west Texas ranch opening week, and I took a really nice axis buck off the company ranch two weeks ago, I’m breaking out my ML next year.
@@Doug-rp5ik What a trophy an axis deer with a flintlock would be. We both had a fine season. Thanks for watching and commenting.
@ Or with a bow, the axis was 30” one side, 31” the other, he’s trophy class. My brother, the one that brain tans and makes bows, does taxidermy on the side, he’s going to mount him for me. I have taken three axis, but this one is my best.

@@kevinsnook7756 It is bittersweet. Nice to get some rest. But before you know it I am ready fir it to open again. Go figure.
Whats longest yards you can shoot muzzleloader there?
@@roberttolley5055 I am not sure what you are asking me. But for me personally, I generally restrict my shots at game to around 60 yards . The small open sights coupled with my eyes, is the reason for that. But target shooting I have no limits. I can hit pretty good at 300 yards and beyond. But target shooting and shooting at a living target are two different things. If you are asking how long a shot could be taken from Jerry’s blind , the answer is about 150 yards.

A few hears ago I received my Kibler Woodsrunner, assembled it and took it to the range. In all honesty I couldn't get any groupings at all, no matter what powder patch and ball combination I used. A member of our club asked if he could take a shot with it. His response was that the trigger pull was far too heavy and I would never get accuracy with that. I contacted Jim and explained my dilemma and was asked to send back the lock and they would have a look at it. A few weeks after sending it back I received a lock back (not sure now if it was the same one or a new one). The gun now shoots like a dream. The trigger breaks at less than a pound. I would recommend anyone to deal with these people. They surely stand behind their product.
@@bobboyer9440 Jim Kibler has a great product and a great company. They stand fully behind every one of their offerings. My Woodsrunner happened to have something wrong with the barrel which they replaced. The trigger could nit have been better. Glad they got you squared away.
