@@JustwingitRC Love your video clips John especially your varied desert locations for flying. that dry lake bed would be a perfect place to land high speed edf jets on but im thinking your not a edf guy and im not usually cause im always running out of runway with those things Cheers Buddy

It seems I only use the thumb/pinch on a few planes, mostly slower civilian models. Otherwise, I'm all thumbs! Interesting that you use one on the right stick, and a different one on the left. Hi David! I personally don't have any experience with the F-86 in 80mm format, but from everyone I've talked to, the Sabre is an excellent flying plane. All the best my friend!

The video you watched with Ali Machinchy flying it was shot even lower tech with a cell phone. BUT, I will take your advice to heart and look to upgrade sometime later thus summer. I've had major shoulder surgery so maybe a tripod isn't a bad idea! All the best!

@@JustwingitRC : ). Well hopefully your shoulder recovers well and quickly. Tripod with pivot ball is best, if you go the tripod way, so you can still tilt and point the camera wherever you need to, as you're filming. Keep in mind that tripods are great, but they DO have a certain footprint and can sometimes get in the way of people, if you're in high pedestrian traffic place. You don't want people tripping on your tripod and knocking it over.

For what you do, I think sometihing like the DJI Osmo Action 4 would be a great choice. Arguably the best action cam at the moment, by far. Very, very nice stabilized footage. Or better still, the DJI Osmo Pocket 3 with its built-in gimbal, but it is a bit spendy.

@@JustwingitRC I’ve actually been thinking about wing-spars recently. Wonder why manufacturers don’t add two carbon fiber spar-tubes to these bigger models? Couldn’t hurt. Might be overkill, but definitely worth overbuilding the wings / spars and wing area. Make them super strong.

@@JustwingitRC I’d actually add a small carbon fiber tube-spar to the vertical Stab and horizontal Stab.

He did a good job for sure, textbook belly landing. Yeah, that support strut lock pin broke on the ground loop, and if you look close you can see it dangling while they recovered the model after the 1st attempt. I'm sure Vic will have her patched up in time for Blackstar Canyon at the end of June 😁👍

@@JustwingitRC It's the climb out. It's too steep. At least, it looks that way to me. Try taking off at less than full throttle sometimes. It may surprise you.
