Bro I just finished this movie just now, it was awful. The action was cool, but the plot, world, and characters were so stupid. And the whole excuse of it being like a video game or how it's supposed to be dumb fun, is such a lazy excuse for a terrible story. Like I said, the action is cool, but these long drawn out fight choreographies are getting tedious. But what aggravated me the most was how all of the villains & soldiers with guns had the worst aim, they were worse than storm troopers.

Meh I know a lot of people like to joker and truth be told I respected it a little bit more than I actually liked it I really did not care much for it as a joke or movie I really wish it didn't call itself joker and connect itself with the character and the comics. Also if I'm being completely honest here I think that falling down and rampage did what joker did way better.

I replied this to the person saying Joker 2019 was not a masterpiece. I'm pretty sure my replies aren't always visible, but comments in the main threads seem to be just fine. Anyway, that person is correct: Joker 2019 is NOT a masterpiece. I have written an essay length list of reasons why I hate it. Something has to really be bad in an extra compelling way for me to do anything like that and feel so strongly, generally.

The only reason this movie exists is because the first one made a ton of money. Regardless of the product, WB can’t help themselves when it comes to shooting themselves in the foot. Should’ve been pretty obvious to you from the start that the only reason this movie came to be is because WB backed up the money trucks.

JOKER (2019) was NOT a modern masterpiece. It was a remake/RIP-OFF of Taxi Driver (1976) and King of Comedy (1982). Scorcece films. It wasn’t even a film about the comic book character called Joker. It was just something slapped on with the name Joker to sell more tickets. And it DID.

My not shocked face-->😐 Knew this was gonna be a let down. When penguin and super/man reeve story came out Gunn was fast to say "Great start for DC Studios. Quality is our priority". Let’s see how vocal he is about Joker 2

Sounds like Joker 2 is unconcistent with Joker's ending. The way that he murdered his doctor and then walked out at the very end, sounds like that's not the direction they go at the beginning of the second one.

I'm not surprise on what I'm hearing about this one. It's seems that Todd Phillips didn't know what do to with this film and this is the best he could come up with. It also seems that he 'copout' regarding what happens at the end of the film. I'll be waiting when this comes out on Max before I watch it.

Joker 1 was a masterpiece. Sucks that the second let the series down

Todd Phillips folded. He went into this wanting to crash the character to please his Hollywood inner circle. The character growth was there, for them to drop the ball like this is madness. Arthur should of embraced the Joker, use Harley, make her fall into his madness, Joker growing his power, Harvey Dent should of been a driving force. Not going to see this, not going to own it, not going to rent it. It ended with Joker, there is no sequel.

I would love a scene where batman does come but he’s shrouded in darkness and penguin slowly is getting away and it’s all in one take. Like Batman does get close and it’s very intense but another goon attacks Batman and penguin gets away but just barely.

Some good moments, but this episode wss very slow.

I’m just gonna say this and I don’t care what anyone else thinks , I want them to make a R rated Batman movie where he’s in his early 50s , he’s has super strength , hostile and isn’t afraid to get his hands dirty and the villians would be Man Bat , Solomon Grundy , Clayface and killer croc and the movie would be really dark and would be a crazy CGI Fest ,that’s bassicly BVS on steroids without all the filler

To be frank, I’m really fatigued with Joker and specially with Harley Quinn as characters. Harley Quinn got 4 movies while Poison Ivy and Mr Freeze got 1!

Marvel needs standalone films and series not required to do homework for to enjoy. Because there’s no artistic integrity in requiring everything to being a universe. No freedom.

Joaneqin Pheonix proved he could sing decently enough in "Walk The Line." Honestly, the whole "musical" stuff hadn't worried me at all until they said there would be a rather too many original songs. I do feel like there's outside influence that didn't allow this film to really be what they wanted to do. All the ideas and many scenes/etc? Execution is key. But, I would NEVER doubt this awful studio to try and meddle with it. I can still see enjoying this for anyone, but honestly after the first came out, I was more interested in the idea of a Lux Luthor president movie. Which I don't want to see anymore, or don't care (good job WB/DC/Discovery/endless pile of morons). I just got to watching "The Penguin" and while I may not have the love people have for "The Batman," the world of it feels pretty spot on regardless of "lepot" being removed from Oswald's last name. I just hope Matt Reeves' further vision isn't also meddled with, as if anything, his batman movie was like an unmeddled (and not even 15 minutes shortened which I would've been fine with long as it wasn't the other 2+hrs of important stuff) director's cut.

as a passionate music lover who can't live without my daily dose of music, there are very few musicals that i enjoy. it's definitely a genre that needs to be explored and cultivated.

The Bane and Deathstroke team up spin off film is probably gonna be even worse than this movie. It’s by James Gunn.
