There are lots of reasons for why marvel sunk so low. But the problem isn't a connected universe, it's how they handle it. They try to keep everyone connected to eachother by connecting everyone to the larger story, but it doesn't have to be like that. Years ago in comics as Spiderman was swinging around the city, you might see moon knight or daredevil in the background on a rooftop creating the sense that everything was connected. The only time I've noticed the movies doing that is in Spiderman two, as Mary Jane runs through the street she runs right past the punisher, there's a scene where you see a newspaper about Dr. Strange in one of the Tobey Mcguire Spiderman movies and Omega Red is in Deadpool two and I only noticed after seeing a video about it. Before they all actually met up in the mcu all they did was mention a few names like in x-men 2. I was disappointed with the scenes in the kyln in the first guardians because that was a perfect wasted opportunity to show some of the outer space characters in the background, like superskrull or the star jammers or Vulcan. Point is, it's OK to just show Ironman flying through the sky while Peter Parker is walking around queens with mj without iron man interacting with Spiderman. Marvel just doesn't seem to get that.

Joaneqin Pheonix proved he could sing decently enough in "Walk The Line." Honestly, the whole "musical" stuff hadn't worried me at all until they said there would be a rather too many original songs. I do feel like there's outside influence that didn't allow this film to really be what they wanted to do. All the ideas and many scenes/etc? Execution is key. But, I would NEVER doubt this awful studio to try and meddle with it. I can still see enjoying this for anyone, but honestly after the first came out, I was more interested in the idea of a Lux Luthor president movie. Which I don't want to see anymore, or don't care (good job WB/DC/Discovery/endless pile of morons). I just got to watching "The Penguin" and while I may not have the love people have for "The Batman," the world of it feels pretty spot on regardless of "lepot" being removed from Oswald's last name. I just hope Matt Reeves' further vision isn't also meddled with, as if anything, his batman movie was like an unmeddled (and not even 15 minutes shortened which I would've been fine with long as it wasn't the other 2+hrs of important stuff) director's cut.
Very generous review - I was one of those who was very disappointed in what was finally on screen and I so wanted it to be good. It felt like there was a completely different movie shot but this was the cut we got...

Also if I'm being completely honest here I think that falling down and rampage did what joker did way better.
Sounds like Joker 2 is unconcistent with Joker's ending. The way that he murdered his doctor and then walked out at the very end, sounds like that's not the direction they go at the beginning of the second one.
One of the biggest reasons why The Dark Knight Trilogy was successful was because it was very consistent. If Joker 2 doesn't do that from Joker, can become a problem and it sounds like that's what's going on.

The only comfort in recieved was hearing that venom last dance hasn't been released so there r still seats available 4 that bandwagon so feel free 2 complain about the new venom 🎦.
Wasn't that impressed either was painfully slow at times for me although it picks up considerably towards the end.I would've still have watched the sequel to see how the chaos shown ensued but obviously that's not in the script now 😂
The only reason this movie exists is because the first one made a ton of money. Regardless of the product, WB can’t help themselves when it comes to shooting themselves in the foot. Should’ve been pretty obvious to you from the start that the only reason this movie came to be is because WB backed up the money trucks.
Spoilers So because the guards beat and rape him he gives up on being Joker ? Lore accurate Joker wouldve let that fuel him further. Lastly that final singing part feels like its hinting at a pregnant Harley giving birth to a son who may become actual Joker.
I think this will go down as another overly hated movie for no reason. It has its flaws, of course, but the general discourse and social media campaign against it, is staggering. Just from the comments on this video of people calling it trash without seeing it shows how easily people are swayed. I actually have to disagree about "going to the well", I felt they didn't do enough with the music. The snippets of songs were annoying, should have been more actual full number, then less of them. I think thats why it feels more pieced together rather than coherent. Like if you want to be a musical (which I don't usually like), then go full musical. I don't understand the issue with the ending? Seemed fine to me and within the character that was established in both movies. This was a surprising box office flop.
All the reviews I’ve seen it’s bad nobody doesn’t like it plus it’s bad on Rotten Tomatoes Critics and Audience I believe it’s gonna be a flop especially budget is $200 million
I disagree with your headline. To me (and many others, even though we are a minority) this was an absolutely great movie. But even a minority disproves that „everyone“ hates the movie.
I would've loved to see a Harley Quinn spin-off instead where Arthur was a secondary character and the story was about Harley going slowly crazy like Arthur in the first film.

I’m just gonna say this and I don’t care what anyone else thinks , I want them to make a R rated Batman movie where he’s in his early 50s , he’s has super strength , hostile and isn’t afraid to get his hands dirty and the villians would be Man Bat , Solomon Grundy , Clayface and killer croc and the movie would be really dark and would be a crazy CGI Fest ,that’s bassicly BVS on steroids without all the filler
Meh I know a lot of people like to joker and truth be told I respected it a little bit more than I actually liked it I really did not care much for it as a joke or movie I really wish it didn't call itself joker and connect itself with the character and the comics.
Also if I'm being completely honest here I think that falling down and rampage did what joker did way better.
@@blackAngelProductions Disagree
Sounds like Joker 2 is unconcistent with Joker's ending. The way that he murdered his doctor and then walked out at the very end, sounds like that's not the direction they go at the beginning of the second one.
@@billymoore7182 not at all, he basically regressed as a character in the sequel
One of the biggest reasons why The Dark Knight Trilogy was successful was because it was very consistent. If Joker 2 doesn't do that from Joker, can become a problem and it sounds like that's what's going on.
I hate it because of lady gaga

@@chrisdee1583 won't be watching 2nd movie just not interested in it.
The only reason this movie exists is because the first one made a ton of money. Regardless of the product, WB can’t help themselves when it comes to shooting themselves in the foot. Should’ve been pretty obvious to you from the start that the only reason this movie came to be is because WB backed up the money trucks.
WB won almost nothing with the first one, they were dumb enough to shared the budget, that's the reason of this sequel

So because the guards beat and rape him he gives up on being Joker ?
