@@brianhart7992 you're thinking of the flywing. This one is gear driven. No upgrades yet..don't need any at this stage. For what it is it's perfect out of the box as is.

Yes your 100% correct I was referring to the Flywing version and assumed all versions were fitted with belt driven and to be honest when I heard these comments it put me off purchasing the hele. You seem very happy with this version of the Air Wolf and you saying its gear driven its re-kindled my interest in purchasing this version. Thanks a lot

@@thatsmyrc yes Atti and 6G modes are programmable from the transmitter just like the Flywing helicopters.

@@LesterStanislas jump on Aliexpress. Search FlishRC. Yes is RTR. Only needs 4 x AA batteries for the transmitter.

@@amarpatel3154 Flywing Airwolf is a 450 size. This one is 500. Near double the size. Also has retractable landing gear where the Flywing doesnt. This one is from FlishRC on Aliexpress.

@steveblackbird thanks man . Retractable landing gear 💪💪. Can a complete beginner fly these things without pissing money down the toilet? The fly wing has GPS etc , I'm guessing it would be standard in more premium models like yours + I just saw a nutty vid of an 800 size. Amazing .

@@amarpatel3154 Too easy bud. They fly exactly like the Flywing versions. Just bigger and heavier. This one has the full Heli H1 controller so is more tuneable. The Flywing ones have H1 lite versions. FlishRC build it up and locktite ALL screws and cable management and all setup is done by the time it gets to you. Really well done and I'm a very picky guy with wiring on all my models. Didn't touch a thing once I checked a few screws and talking with Flish via email. If you can fly a DJI drone you can Fly these. The size is intimidating.. 500mm blades spinning at 2000RPM is very dangerous. Also you can change modes via the transmitter to do Atti mode and 6G mode.. basically a step down from full 3D control. Auto level, auto height etc but a more natural control. It's a pretty epic system, but in reality and I highly recommend learning to fly a full 3D heli would do a world of good as if GPS drops out for any reason (Very, Very rare these days) you can control it without crashing. A good sim is worth it's weight in gold. I've been hitting the sim on my PC quite a lot and am comfortably flying 3D. No aerobatics or anything yet lol, only on the sim.

Yes it does. All of them. They are clear though. I tinted mine with Tamiya smoke spray paint. 7 pieces in total. Front window is one piece with a pre-painted black border. Fits perfectly. The others you need to trim a little and they fit great aswell.

There's a trick to it. Lift the collective/throttle stick to 52-55% for a couple of seconds and release it. The heli will lift off gently. If you've never flown a RC heli before I'd highly recommend getting an RC simulator to learn how to fly at least the basics. It's very worth it as you'll progress without crashing a real RC helicopter. If you rely on GPS and it drops off you need to take full control and fly it yourself. As you can imagine 2 x 500mm blades spinning at 2000+rpm is very dangerous. The Flysky transmitter plugs right into the cable. Aliexpress and ebay have a 4 in 1 RC simulator for cheap. Fair enough. The new tail blades that they send with the newer version are much quieter. You don't even notice it when it's more than 20m away. I find the heli very quiet.

@@THEMIGHTYCB Of course. All the modes are available. 1400 ATT, 1300 6G, as well as the stock RTH, GPS and 3D. Its all programmable through the transmitter menu. Stock FlySky transmitter has a 3 position switch but if you bind it with a modern computer radio you can use it's 5 position switch to have all modes available.

@THEMIGHTYCB that's what I have programmed with mine. Once I'm competent with that, then 6G... and then 3D. Though on a sim I can fly in full 3D mode.. I do occasionally crash from being too cocky lol.

@@maximusvr46 Too easy. No mods needed for flying it out of the box. Tail blades were painted using Tamiya PS-1 white polycarbonate paint is much more flexible. Main blades were masked off so the bottom doesn't get painted. I used Tamiya TS-26 pure white with TS-16 yellow for the tips. The tinted windows are TS-71 smoke. Go very easy with the smoke.. multiple very light coats. It's as easy to fly as a DJI drone in GPS mode. Everything you see in the vid is how they arrive. Ready to fly.

@@maximusvr46 One thing I'll add.. each blade is near 500mm long.. spinning at 2000 RPM. These helis are very dangerous in the wrong hands. They're expensive but in my case totally worth the money. Personally.. get an rc simulator for your PC and practice with a 3d helicopter (the transmitter plugs right in so you dont have to get another controller for your PC or laptop...so you have at least a little backround skill.

@maximusvr46 I've got a few like Real Flight, and Phoenix. Aliexpress has a setup that includes 4-5 sims in one bundle with cables and USB dongle with CD for installs. Easy setup. Yes it recognises the controller.

@@michaellui74 The flywing version is about half the size. FlishRC has weapons and retractable landing gear, where the Flywing doesn't have them.

@@riaangeldenhuys6937 Spare set of carbon blades from FlishRC. I painted them with Tamiya TS paint on top. Masked off the lower surface so its still showing carbon underneath. The stock grey blades are my spare set.

Don't forget to balance your blades after painting them too.

Completely agree, I almost bought the Flywing version. Solid helis in their own right. After I discovered the FlishRC version being nearly double the size, Being 500 sized v's 450, The scale guns and retracts I felt it was worth the asking price. It's quite a big heli in person.
