I got a drone from my mums friend like 2 weeks ago, had a few flights with it before wind decided to steal it, then it either lost connection or ran out of batteries right on a flat roof, ima try asking some home owners if i can use their ladder, thx for the help

if the antenna in the drone is virticaly polarized then the antena on the controler MUST be virticaly polorized........if one is horizontal you are crossed polerized you will lose 20db of signal !!!!!! most man made noise is virtically polorized....antennas in drones and controleer are a quarter wave spike ...unity gain 1inch i belive....sorry for the typing and i have bad vision

Just watched your video and found it very interesting I don't have a dji yet. But I'm working on it But I do have a hs 720r. That is having this problem. I'm think about taking it apart and looking for areas that can be causing interference with the GPS signal

BUT IF THE BATTERY IS FLAT, YOU CANNOT TURN THE DRONE ON, TSO CANNOT UPDATE THE FIRMWARE.

Mine is choppy but it does stutter and glitch when i land im using a dji mini 3 and mini 3 rc have u got a cure for this oh btw ive updated the firmware

Hey, thank you a lot mate! Pops got me this sweet drone last Christmas and i've over the last 7 months i've gotten quite used to turning it on, doing the quick calibration, and then just buzzing it around! It's super fun, but i was missing out on the features like 'home' and 'GPS flight' as well as the ability to loop continuously from set point A to point B. I hit the homing button for the first time, and a few seconds later I was hit with the barrage of beeps! I got so worried I landed, grabbed my drone and ran back inside to investigate! You saved me a ton of confusion and possible (unnecessary) heartache thinking i've hurt my drone!

Although I appreciate and agree with a lot of the points made here, in the UK at least, it is very difficult to find ANY space where birds are not, and in fairly big numbers. AND if we were to not fly in breeding, nesting, or migrating seasons, then that's the whole spring and Summer gone isn't it ?! We are already SO restricted in where we can legally and safely fly that a lot of us head out to the countryside and the few remaining natural viewpoints that are still available to us, because it is all we have left ! And I have to say there are hawks at every single one of those sites for hundreds of miles around ! Each one surveys a territory tens of miles across and considers all that airspace its own ! It is simply not practical to abandon a flight every time one appears, or we could never fly at all ! So we must coexist with them, which is not impossible, if we send them the right messages, and show them we are not prey, or something they need to worry about. The latter of those is more difficult ! So (IME) in 80% of cases, sports mode, hard rise (away from thermals) to establish dominance, and then go 300m away from them, at that height. In a lot of cases they don't feel a need to follow, and stop treating you as prey or competition if you are lucky. I've had a number of flights where I do this, and they lose interest and resume what they were doing, and flight continues relatively unaffected after that. It's the 20% of times when they won't let it lie that it gets stressful for all of us, and a hasty retreat to ground level is needed, ideally not in the claws of whatever is pursuing...

I just found that holding both sticks straight down for a second will stop it from toilet bowling as well. And if you do that a couple times it will re locate itself

Insane. I had no idea this was a common thing. Today a swarm of bees surrounded my mavic mini 3. I managed to fly away from the huge swarm but one lone bee kept following the drone right before I landed. Unfortunately he got sliced. Now I have guts all over my drone.

You are a star, thank you. I lost my signal on my DJI Mavic 2 Pro always and couldn't find out why. Since I changed from 2.4Ghz to 5.8Ghz I have no problem anymore, thanks thanks thanksssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss :-)

I'm having a controller connection loss on my dji mavic 2 pro. I fly about 40ft and the controller loses all control/signal for the drone. I have everything updated on the dji go 4 app on my samsung s24 ultra. Calibrated properly, antennas are all fine, good connection to my phone. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks for the simple tip. I was getting blurry photos when I downloaded photos right to my phone but if I take the chip out and put it in my computer the photos are quite a bit higher in resolution.

About to buy a Mavic Air second hand. The drone has not been flown for some time. When the battery is put on the charger it flashes red and green. Any idea what that means?

Major screw up on my part. I just got a brand new drone and reading up on instructions on how to use, and first thing it guided me to do was to plug in my batteries to charge them. Well, wouldn't you know it, my cell phone type c charging cable was laying right there so I plugged it in to new drone battery charger and pluged the brand new battery intobit. shortly thereafter I read instructions which urged to use the cable that came with the Drone. unfortunately I could only get flashing lights from that point on.

I'd add to that list "Don't buy a Mavic." It's a drone. Not an Excavator. My dog ran off at the park, mid-flight. I abandoned the controller and went after the dog. The Potensic took care of itself, returning automatically from over a mile away. Remarkable. I take off, observe for stability, land, launch to set my take-off point, and set the return altitude high enough to avoid infrastructure. Works every time.

Also slow micro sd cards 👌🏻

Thanks for the information. I was getting the wavy/jello effect when flying through a canyon. Looking back at the weather it was a mix of several of the things you mentioned. Frustrating as I didn't notice until after I got home from vacation.

Outstanding you answered my question on reducing the file size . I had a difficult time downloading to CapCut and others becuase the file size was so high. I try to compress and it will not do a 3.5gb, it asked for a 1gb. I'm not savy on all of these things, but it was frustrating. Thank YOU

This was a interesting video ive only had my dji mini 2 se since Christmas I've flown it loads of times but we're I live I live on a housing estate when I take my drone up about 80m the n fly out a little distance I noticed signal drop on dji fly app from white to orange for 2 seconds tbh I think its the interference off the houses I'm going try these methods 👌👌👌💯

That's very helpful! I am new into drones and I've just encountered two eagles (or kind of) right after a landed my drone after a few shots near mountains. They simply came to check what's happening and flew back 200m away. Later, I found out there were mole holes near the plateau of the mountain. The guys were afraid that the drone is a competitor there. Now I am learning the rules and ways to reduce the risks. Another headache, lol. If not forbidden, then birds..

Mine's actually okay most of the time, but when it gets near buildings or houses it drifts a lot more. This sucks because I wanted to do roof inspections as a way to make money, but if I can't fix the problem, eventually I'm going to crash it, guaranteed. It's a DJI Mini 3 so I don't think it's because it's a crappy drone obviously, and it also does not have obstacle avoidance either. Which is not great in this case LOL

There is some speculation that the "cache when recording" setting in ADVANCED camera settings is gumming up the works as it pertains to jitter, jutter, choppiness....whatever name you want to give it when filming video and in particular the panning shots. The discussion is whether or not the cache process is filling up the buffer on the internal real-time processing as the footage is being acquired. For those who have played with all of the parameters you discussed in this video and still see the chop on the final output.....how much thought and time have you put in to evaluating the affect of caching (a low res version of the high res piece being shot) when recording? Who needs a bunch of cached duplicate low res files anyway?
