still the best in 2022 :) I have a new one, I like it. Yes, i found a new, it was buying in 2020, but the family is don't use it :) I can fly with 3 batteries, 14 minute stages, brilliant, thanks for your extremely good and understandable video :) Greetings from Hungary
Thanks for the vid! There are a few bargains on ebay at the moment and to be honest, it ticks every box for me. I built a couple of drones many years ago that were eventually destroyed or lost, but really enjoyed the hobby. I just want something easy to fly and capture some footage whilst hiking with the family.
Very good Drone only that DJI decided to stop manufacturing batteries for mavic air 1 and if you find it on eBay but for twice the price DJI scamped us selling a Drone that has an expiration date....
My first entry drone is just the MAvic Air, mine is the red coloured body, this is because while I first seen my friend introduced me and took me to the place which gathered a lot of drone player who flying the drones, I was attracted by the tiny, shiny red body and streamline body design Mavic Air in late 2018~ I decided to bought it for my new year's gift~ love it~
How is this VS the air 2? Somone is selling the air 1 fly more combo for $500 (us) but I'm wondering if I should hold out for somone selling an air 2. I need something that will handle the wind when I fly near the cliffs in Ireland when I visit
SUPER SUPER GREAT!. Your efforts and time in this video is greatly appreciated . I'm late but always have been interested in flying drones. I have a couple that I've flown 2/3 times -nothing that qualifies me as good. Im thinking about getting the DJI Mavic Air Fly More Combo to get started seriously in learning to fly. Do the batteries eventually die to where they no longer can be charged? Thanks in advance. Rock rock on!!!
Just get a pair of master airscrew props, they are quieter, and are designed to increase the flight time by 1-2 minutes. Mavic air is definitely still awsome in 2021! Ps. I don't have any of the range issues that everyone else seems to have with the mavic air (although I do fly in a fairly low interference area)
@@droneflyingpro4245 here is another tip if you don't know it already. I never saw anything in the manual about this, and i haven't seen any youtube videos about it, so I'm thinking its not super well known. If you hold down the right customisable button on the front of the controller bellow the photo button, and turn the gimbal wheel at the same, it will adjust the camera's exposure. I have had the mavic air for about 2 years, and didn't know about this until a couple of weeks ago 👍

Hello from Madrid!! I've a Mavic Air for 3 years but for personal troubles no fly till this last summer, for that 2 of my 3 batteries have deah. No charge, no led ligth...RIP!! Can I some thing for releave it? Note. The exterior aspect is't like the first day.
Have had Mavic Air 2 years, no problems. Now, my Pixel 3 Android 11 no longer connects. My Droid razor won't connect, either. DJI Go 4 was last updated a year ago. Is Mavic Air obsolete? Useless, now. What phone do you use? Charging everything now,,, making sure batteries are up.
but how TF do you get batteries??? they don't sell them anymore, unless you get the newest version, and then what... they release a new version - and DJI immediately ceases support (aside from firmware) - but what good is an $600 drone if you can't fly it????
Very good Drone only that DJI decided to stop manufacturing batteries for mavic air 1 and if you find it on eBay but for twice the price DJI scamped us selling a Drone that has an expiration date....
Mavic Air its such a great drone for the time, and still today. The big problem with this drone its the battery ...... there is a BIG problem with them, they " puff " .... all the batteries i had and have, eventually go puffy .... I do take care of them, the issue to me its a design or tech issue. They cant deal with heat. If you live in a warm area, and fly the drone in summer time, between the heat from the drone itself plus the ambient , the battery will go bad ..... and im tallking about arround 40 cycles. I had more the 12 batteries, they all did the same sooner or later. Not to mention DJI is not making this batt anymore, so if you find one, it will go for no less then 150 Uss each. I still have this drone, its the only one i have, if it wasn't for this big batt problem that DJI didnt took resposability of it, it would be one of the best portable drone ever. Really bad for DJI and for the Mavic Air owners like me. Very disappointing.
After four years of ownership my first tip for anyone purchasing this drone is to switch it to 5.8ghz, the signal is so much stronger. The second is to get the Master Airscrew quiet props v2. My biggest gripe is the lens distortion. I live on the coast and can never shoot the ocean’s horizon as the “moustache” effect at 3/4 height becomes really obvious and becomes a no deal if you’re selling your footage. RAW images for some reason are not as badly effected. Other than that it is still one of the best overall.

I'm still using it in 2022. I love it. Don't know why anyone would want anything better
If I didn't have one, I would definitely get it.
Thanks for the review and the hype. Got a used Air, do you have any recommended video settings or drone settings and tips?

I love the analogy of it's like sending out a laptop.
My advice for range, do the gps hack. It will set your mavic from CE to FCC mode.
I wish it had 10 more minutes of battery life.
Cannot find batteries for this. Note, broken link in another comment below about where to buy batteries. HELP!
Yeah batteries are hard to find.
