Actually, what I'm looking for is "how far away can I see with a drone's camera if I fly the drone 500 feet into the sky", but it seems like all the answers to my search are talking about "how well can a drone camera see"

Hey man just getting into drones and have a question. My drone wont fly above 2 inches. It hasnt been for weeks and it was flawless until one day where it had a mind of its own eventually not allowing me to go above 2 inches before flipping over and falling to the ground. I thought I mustve overcharged the battery so I got a new one however, it seems to not be charging even with many different cables. It shoes a red light for 5 seconds than the light turns off and it stops charging.

How easy is it to see the color red from a drone? Like a swatch of red on a hat. Is it possible to be too high to see colors like that?
