Amanda started sharing her comeback journey through 2 different cancer diagnoses during 2020 shutdowns, after being told she’d “never run or hike again”.
After fighting through advanced stage cancer, and overcoming debilitating surgeries + 16 months of chemo - Amanda climbed 30+ technical mountains, won trail races and OCRs, and then went on to qualify and compete in Ironman races leading to Ironman World Championships in Kona.

Hey Amanda, I know talking about faith and religion can be nerve wracking. I’m not a religious person and I just wanted to say that I respect your choice to be yourself even by showing your faith despite having my own beliefs. That might not be for everyone but I can see from a lot of your comments from this community that you’re only going to draw in the people you want and exclude the people who don’t align with the energy you want to have in your life. Part of the scary and beautiful part of being yourself! Happy holidays!!

Never been the same since I started training fuelled rather than fasted. Used to do very aggressive intermittent fasting and always run or lift fasted, but I feel so much better now that I’m having something small like a GO-bar or a banana before training 🔥Thanks for the amazing message, and happy holidays 😊🎄

Love your videos and that groin Injury is no joke! Mine hung around for what felt like a year but I went to physical therapy eventually and addiction work with my legs and some hip flexer work eventually got it fixed.

Our family (many other Asian family homes) uses Kiwi brand knives. They are superrrrrr inexpensive but I also sharpen them with a sharpening stone. You can find both the stone and knives a lot cheaper at any local asian stores and both items lasts foreverrrrr. There’s several sharpening techniques available on UA-cam . I loved watching my grandpa sharpen my mom’s knives growing up.

Henckels knives!! Amazing quality. Swear by them. Also get a sharpening stone not the typical knife sharpener those work kinda like a hair brush where the stone works likes scissors. That’s how we learned it in cooking school and it has stuck 😂

I made those muffins and my kids and husband loved them. I bake like that all the time, but this was a new flavor recipe with the pumpkin and apple sauce. I literally had to make them every other morning for a week (double batches) cause they all got eaten! Perfect for after school or in-between meals for the kids to grab, and husband to grab. Thanks for the idea!

@@JustMissAmanda would love to see how you structure your weeks as a hybrid athlete! And how you progressed from starting at zero. Your story hits home for me a lot (first heard in the Leadville doc). In 2016 I had a severe spine injury that ended my collegiate baseball career. And I was told I would “never run again or be pain free”. I have overcome both of those! And now run half marathons while still lifting and hope to someday get to an ultra. The injury is still something I will always have but our bodies are strong and resilient! Keep going! You’re an inspiration.

These have got to be my favorite kinds of videos! 🔥I always get so inspired to try new things, while also being reinforced in some of the good diet habits I already have. You've really inspired me so much to get more fats in my diet, preworkout GO-bars and a breakfast of beef, eggs and a banana have become a staple breakfast for me.
