You should make a video - beginner guide to trail running or being a hybrid athlete. I was a long time crossfitter and Olympic weightlifter and am trying to get into trail running and swimming, maybe a longer triathlon is in my future. I would love a guide on getting into trail running, like gear to have, safety things to consider, weather watching, and all that! Love watching your videos, keep inspiring ✨
I just run my second 3 mile run yesterday and I thought I was dying and today I'm so sore...I don't know how you ran 100 miles!! You're one of those people who inspire me to keep my running journey!
Tip from my mum; only use your ring finger when applying eye creme to avoid skin damages. The ring finger is the weakest and only softly tab the cream onto the skin. It helps to avoid wrinkles. I know, very off-topic, but I heard her voice in my head when you applied the cream 😅
Agreed, this was a tip from my grandmother. The skin is very thin around the eyes. She’s in her 80’s and doesn’t look a day over 50! Guess I’ll listen to her! 😅
Hi Amanda 🖤 Thank you for the vlog and Good Luck in Kaua’i 🍀🍀 There is a special vibe on the islands for sure! I lived on O’ahu for a few years in my youth and I ALWAYS went on hikes 🌄🌋Thank you for sharing what you packed for gear🙏
@@JustMissAmanda been following you and some of the BPN team as I get ready for my first half marathon. Been crazy to balance that between work, parenting, adulting etc. watching you guys push every week helps keep the energy to push forward.
Kauaʻi is my home isle 💜 When I heard about your Trek, I was like "Oh no. It's closed." -- but definitely divine intervention -- Kalalau is absolutely stunning, no doubts, but as a Kauaian, hikes IN Waimea Canyon just don't get enough love. So much to explore in that area! This is kinda where I wish ppl running "tours/treks" would actually consult locals for itineraries, etc, tho. Because we have so much more than Kalalau/Nā Pali hikes to offer, for example: Alakaʻi Swamp. Otherworldly landscape when you're up in the old growth forest of ʻŌhiʻa in the swamp -- Highest elevated swamp in the world, btw 😉 -- & the lookout at the end is at a cliff overlooking North shore. & yes, Kauaʻi DOES dip below 70°, especially up at Kokeʻe + Waimea State Parks. Majority of the year (April-October), in these areas it's in the low 60s-high 50s. With variables due to weather. November-March, temps dip into the 40s. Some days, you wake up to enough frost to make mini snowmen ☃️ lol! Part of my family lives in Tahoe & when they visit, THEY get cold when the temps dip below 60° 😂, we surmise it's bc of the humidity that we have here. A "wet cold" vs "dry cold", as it is there. It hits different. But hope you get to have a redo of the Kalalau trek that was originally planned in the future! & as a Hapa asian myself, I relate all too well to your lashes/mascara/eyelid struggle 😅 Best tip I ever learned was to just let it dry fully & then take a stiff brush (lash/brow comb or disposable mascara wands) to flake it off after, no smudges/mess! 🤙🏾
Okay you didn’t ask so just ignore me if you don’t care. And it’s also so random. When applying serum or anything to your neck I saw an esthetician say to apply it with your hands going up instead of down. Same for face! Apparently that helps prevent skin drooping or wrinkles. As you want your skin to tighten more so you go up instead. Also, thanks for sharing the products! Gotta check them out! Love this episode so far! Thanks for sharing!
Hi Amanda! good purchase on the MSR Hubba Hubba 3. I have that tent MSR is a great Brand. How exciting that you going to Kauai. Have a incredible adventure and a safe flight. Thank you!🙏🙏🙂⭐

I am so glad you decided to continue filming. Your journey is interesting and inspiring to watch. ❤😊
Love how your border collie is leading the run

Don't compare your day 1 to someone's day 1000. Great job!

@@sammy_lu552 great tip!! Watching this back I too was wincing a bit at how rough I am applying my products 😂😂

I wear the same tinted sunscreen. I actually wear it over a stronger mineral sunscreen from Skin Better Science. Holds up great during workouts.
Was a great time following your journey to Leadville. Congrats on the amazing finish!
Thank you SO MUCH! This is just the beginning 😊

Hello Amanda, it would be amazing to join you on one of the treks but I’m a BEGINNER. it’d be nice if you did one for beginner hikers. Blessings 🙏🏼
