the faked that my family has never read or watched GoT and they used and still use this phrase all my life is prof. phrases shift through time so at one point Sweet summer child meant amazing, it shifted to naivety. so summer child meant young it then was associated with youth and being naive. this new meaning was not a written expression it was just something people started saying, martin most likely heard it about and found it worked perfectly for the context.

went with my wife on an ancestry hunt thru old grave yards - the ZINKERS were by far the most durable and looked the best of all the markers - stone simply does not last - I can't believe that someone doesn't make the equivalent of a Zinker today.

The Davis memorial in Hiawatha Kansas is similar. He got pissed off at the town asking him to donate. He decided to make the burial site a depiction of his life and marriage, and his wifes death. The saddest sculpture shows him sitting in his upholstered chair next to his wifes chair, now empty. He made so many stztues that the last ones are made from a cheaper stone than the marble used for most of the statues. He was determined to spend it all and not leave anything for the town!

The best thing about religious zealots is they absolutely know nothing about their own religions. I always found the whole Jesus in a tomb thing to be the funniest because in fact that was not a tomb it was a meat locker. Cannibalism was quite popular back in the day and his disciples did indeed age the meat and then ate him. They of course lied about where he went. "Oh yeah, he went up into heaven" and that lie has been perpetuated throughout history.
