Wish you had mentioned the 1927 US patient 1749090A which is literally just a big skeleton with glowing eyes made to scare criminals to confess their crimes
The gigantic Eiffel Tower bullet is the most insane thing i have ever seen in my life, I mean the image provided with it is just outrageous, I could not stop laughing
That fish mirror isn't as weird as it seems I think. Interestingly normal mirrors do not reflect clearly under water. So for this invention to work you would need to use special under water mirrors. it would be really cool if someone would try to build one and test it out
I was born in the rotating birth machine, my mother was a very forward thinking person. I was also placed in the outdoor baby crib on the 10th floor of our apartment. Needless to say, I grew up and became an astronaut. Actually I'm on the moon right now watching your videos. There grrrreat!
Some of these inventors must have been hitting the bottle pretty hard. The birthing device thing, that has to be a joke. I love the plow though. Do you sometimes feel the sudden urge to shoot your ox while ploughing your field? There's an invention just for you! The rat bell thing is also interesting, but I doubt it would have worked. If it attached a letter to the rats though... Merry christmas! Your channel was my favorite on youtube this year, amazing work throughout.
I think it was trying to solve the issue of a woman being unable to give birth due to medical complications. Women dying in childbirth was common in the 19th century since tools and drugs weren't invented or common enough to save women and their children if complications arose.
its an interesting idea but i think that one is too well known, all of these are things i doubt anyone for decades before this video was made knew about
i couldnt stop laughing at the baby yeeting machine, like the concept is funny enough but i was thinking ,oh ok i get what its meaning, like say it takes 10 big pushes to get a baby out the machine spinning would help and cut it down to like 5 or 6 big pushes. impracitcal but i get where hes going, then you mentionedi t could get to 7gs of force and i lost it
I think it was an attempt to deal with complications that were lethal back then but are easily remedied today. Lots of women died during childbirth back then.
On the British show QI the fact about the birthing machine said they forgot about the umbilical cord and the baby would come flying back after it shot out.
The execution of that last one is completely bizarre but it's basically the same concept as some modern amusement park rides so I at least understand what this guy was thinking.
This is literally my favorite YT channel, and I appreciate that you keep making the new videos. Thanks for all the hard work this year, it's been a blast learning more from you
Yea they were actually popular for a while in the UK. There's loads of photos of young children in those things like 50 feet or more up from the ground. Makes me shudder when I look at them.
The amount of research you are able to consistently do for a channel that cannot even be making you that much money is commendable. Fantastic finds lmao. Why are you in the dark I'm scared
Im not alone in thinking the fish mirror could work.😂 Bass absolutely get triggered to strike if they see another Bass going for bait. But the thought of just casting a huge sharp mirror out there is wild. 🤪
9:50 I feel like all the UFO sightings were people catching guys like this, testing inventions... Also some government drone testing. I hadn't seen photos recently of old NASA test flight projects, one was a levitating disk, like huge, it hovered over the land like a hovercraft. Should be in my NASA CERN etc. Playlist.
Its funny to hear one guy think he can explain “all ufo sightings”, something that even intelligence agencies had not been able to succeed in. Incredible. Also, your comment doesnt even make sense.
They actually did have those baby cages didn't they? In apartment buildings in the early 20th century, I'm sure I've seen some weird looking black and white photos. (Edit: yeah, just did a little search and found photos of them. Seems they became less popular with increase of cars and concerns for safety (you don't say!)) However, the centrifugal force birth machine is the most ridiculous thing - is the umbilical cord supposed to make sure you don't loose the child? I wonder why that never took off?🤔🤦🏻♀️(no pun meant with the "take off" by the way)
The 7G baby birther... 🤔😆 Some man got tired of waiting through his wife's inconveniently long births. Or, give him the benefit of the doubt - maybe he wanted to help her. 😂
The baby centrifuge was mentioned in A City on Mars by the Weinersmiths as a potential way to make childbirth safe in space. We don't know what the effects of zero or low gravity would have on the development of the baby, so you could just strap the pregnant person to a centrifuge for a few months to simulate 1 g of force and bypass those problems! Of course, that would create numerous other problems.
Heated ice cream scoops are a thing. Like, an actual thing that you can buy. Amazon should have listings. Or you can do it the cheap way and run hot water over an ice cream scoop so it can cut through ice cream frozen too hard. Similarly, some fish are attracted to shiny objects, so the mirror might actually work. (Someone should send this over to William Osman. Didn't he already try to do the gun hat? Seems like there are multiple ways for him to potentially injure himself here.)
I could see the Butt Ball Target Chair being a thing at fairs / the boardwalk. Like the dunk tank with the obnoxious clown who hurls insults. Only offering an even more direct target.
Wish you had mentioned the 1927 US patient 1749090A which is literally just a big skeleton with glowing eyes made to scare criminals to confess their crimes
Holy shit this one is absolutely phenomenal
Confess your sins to the CRIME SKELETON!
This is literally just what my across the street neighbors put up for Halloween

I agree I think it would be fascinating especially with modern waterproof cameras as good as they are it'd be an interesting experiment
Certain fish are attracted to shiny stuff I used to catch mackerel with a hook and a strip of tinfoil (aluminium foil) when I was a kid
You guys like Phish?
I think you have a new project for your retirement 😉

Man, I was hoping he’d stumble upon the mousetrap gun. (It’s literally a mousetrap that shoots the mouse with a tiny gun.)
its an interesting idea but i think that one is too well known, all of these are things i doubt anyone for decades before this video was made knew about

That car with the megaphone for yelling at people isn't a bad idea
Anyone that’s ever driven in new jersey knows some people just dont need a megaphone.
It's a bad idea if you ever get into an accident and that megaphone gets pushed right into your face
@@Innuya That's true
That fish mirror is actually genius
On the British show QI the fact about the birthing machine said they forgot about the umbilical cord and the baby would come flying back after it shot out.
The plough with a gun is the equivalent of a tractor with a button that blows up the engine.
The automatic derby tipper goes hard
Best ever, loved this episode! You are EPIC!
Very glad jacksfilms exposed me to this channel. Fantastic stuff mate!

Vox made a whole video about baby cages and how they were supposed to air out diseases.
It was used to increase vitamin D for healthy bones
Yea they were actually popular for a while in the UK. There's loads of photos of young children in those things like 50 feet or more up from the ground. Makes me shudder when I look at them.
most of those feel like some oddly specific sex toy
Especially the electric belt
The USPTO, along with other patent offices, is really something else sometimes.
Think of the party tricks you could do with a fart bag!
I love your videos, please keep up the good work❤
8:34 "Dammit Bobby!"
Someone needs to try the fish mirror to see if it works
I’m crowdfunding everything in this video.
This video was a lot more entertaining than I expected, well done collecting these!
the alarm clock and others were on the inventors game from the 70's. I loved that game
I'm really curious to know how many of these actually got made XD
7:44 p sure those exist nowadays... but runing it under hot water works just as well
I'm a day late but I love this topic , Merry Christmas Dime store

As a frequent headache experiencer, i need a hot water bottle helmet
I appreciate the new video. Nice to see some weird patents.
How does this video not have a million views?? Good stuff buddy
I dunno. I think the birthing machine could be a fun carnival ride for everybody!
Im not alone in thinking the fish mirror could work.😂 Bass absolutely get triggered to strike if they see another Bass going for bait. But the thought of just casting a huge sharp mirror out there is wild. 🤪
"Hey you guys wanna try that new game out at the arcade?"
We need a part 2!!!
Centrifugal force to deliver a child is great.
It always makes my day when you upload a new video ♡
need to get myself a device for inducing sleep

Death isnt sleep though xD
I think they intended for another person to loosen it after you passed out.
The handle of the heated ice cream scoop would heat up. And keeping the scoop in warm water is just easier.
I just imagine a bunch of doctors with catchers mits
Waiting to try and catch the baby xD
This guy makes me think Bill Hader and whistlindiesel had a child
Baby cages were actually used in places like NY and Boston.
I do believe they had tried using the hat gun, but the recoil from the gun mixed with the strap under the person's chin broke peoples' necks.
Right when I saw that one the first thing I thought was "what about recoil"
These just make me so damn uncomfortable lmao. Great video!

Wacky!! I love it.
"Device for Inducing Sleep" NOT for off-label use 😮
The cow one is actually not so crazy! It's used to this day.
Doesn't scare the animals cause it feels in place vs people.
Love it!
My friend got a heated ice cream scoop for Christmas. Brand new make and model.
11:00 the human bullet... 😱 Uh.. 🤹🏻♀️🤸🏻♀️🤸🏻♂️🤸🏻🧍🏻💨 Nah... 😂
The baby cage was actually used. Even Eleanor Roosevelt used one.

Baby cage is real and was widely used. You can find pictures.

A tube that collects yo fart wtfaaaa then use it to marinade chicken why not 😂😂😂
Ice cream scoops already have water or oil inside to conduct the heat of your hand to melt the ice cream, which is good enough and cheaper I guess.
The design is very human
The balloon dynamite thing isn't completely off base....
he say "meer" instead of "mirror"... are you east coast like you present, or secretly a midwesterner? 👀
A fish mirror based on an Aesops fable
2:31 🤣😂🤣 holy spinning babies!! 😲😱 This was totally, definitely invented by a man 🧔🏻... 😅 🤰👶🏻 gives a new meaning to the babies drawn as angels 👼 😲😱
I know a few people who could use that fart bag

am i crazy or are like 80% of these good ideas? and like half of them is in use right now?
You look really creepy when only your eyes were showing.
I think Planned Parenthood has one of those baby zingers installed in their locations.
