Portable Evaporative Cooler Tricks Tips In RV Toy Hauler Trailer
Well, John, Shingletown held an impromptu town meeting on the progress of the Suburban Moto Hauler. We were thinking that this would make a great 4th of July Parade mobile, for Shingletown, especially when Beer Belly Billie gets up and gives his annual "Freedom Belly Dance" while wearing his newly imported Banana Hammock... It is quite the sight and with the top down design, ole Billie can get things swaying in the back of that Burb... Keep up the good work John and yes, Bikes are better! Chico says that he signed on as a "Bike's Parts Manager", not a "Cager Parts Manager." There could be some rumblings about job switch if you don't smooth things over with Chico by getting him an ice cream this weekend. Cheers, from Shingletown!!!
Hello to Shingletown! I looked over Chico's job description and your right, I am asking for more than he signed up for. The Burb has air shocks in the back so we are good if Billie gains a few pounds over the summer. We will just have to add a little air and it will be good to go. I worry about beer spillage on the new carpet so we will have to lay down some plastic that will double as a slip and slide. Love hearing from you Joe.
Hi. Whats the name on the color on this Nice bike?
I have a 1984 Honda big red 200es what bolt size is the pull starter bolts
Very nice bike, but you lost me when you said valve cover...
Good job ,I have a 77 honda xr75 when i was a kid still have it.
Autosol metal polish is worth a try
That's a beautiful little machine - I remember them back in the day . . I had a 250 . .
Saludos desde Perú 🇵🇪🛵🐒🐕
I also have a 1979 ATC 90, it was confusing to me!
Минск по японски
Yea my 88 hisky plastcs sctched easy and uad that dull finish but i was uappy to find replacements so im not complaining whatsoever
Awesome job! Did you sell the bike?
Beautiful 65 bud.
Thank You
Yep. I had one too. Lowering the steering bar gave it that sexy look.! I’m sure you all remember the movie Mad Max with Mel Gibson in 1979.
I just bought a set of these for an RX75 . I found that if you mounted them the way instructions state, the side covers rub on upper shock absorber bolt and lower edge of cover rubs on coils. I ended up having to make spacers to go between side cover and mounting area and used longer screws. I emailed company and they hadn’t heard of this problem in the past. I wonder if they’ve ever tried mounting a set on themselves before shipping them out ??
Thanks. I too spent 2 days trying to figure out the timing chain setup and then the firing alignment. Until l pulled the recoil it was next to impossible to get the cam position and then the magneto alignment.
I have a 74' Suzuki GT 185, with 113.5 miles.
The first two marks have no purpose besides letting you know the real marks are coming up. But someone could easily set their timing with those and create many headaches. Why why why lol.
One more option is just MOTO EDITION? Or Shinglebilly Moto Edition.
Moto
Well that's 2 to 0 or 2 to 1 if you count in SHINGLETOWN but I want to wait till later this "mornin" when they all solber up to see if they come to their senses.
Now hang on John...... Wait for it..... How about "Shinglebilly Hey Wagon". We here in Shingletown have spoken to the great Ju-Ju and his side kick Wacky Willie. They said, "It has to have Shingle - Something.... So, we had "Puffing Pete" smoke some emerald green with the great Ju-Ju and Wackie Willie. They came up with "Shinglebilly Hey Wagon." So, there you have it... Hold the presses and put in some real thoughts... Now you may think that Shinglebillies can't spell "hay" and instead put "hey." Nope, when we ride through Shingletown in that chopped Burb, we will all be in the back of it yelling out our, "Hey" to all the people lining the streets of Shingletown.... So, there you have it, "hey" from Shingletown...
When Ya All 's hangover is better talk about it again and let me know. Wednesday night is big in Shingletown as the folks all pack their pistols and play quick draw on the whisky bottles they just emptied. Any broken windows this week???
@@JTSCUSTOMS "Head butting Billy" says that only the stained glass windows broke when he gave them his "bow of billie-ism." BTW, no bottles were hurt in this wee-night of the party... There is a reason why there are no hot air balloons in Shingletown!!! Random "misfires" tend to hit "Chinese weather balloons" is what Divinity Dan says. Wine drinking while in a hot air balloon is not a good idea in Shingletown during Saturday backyard bath days. Naked Shinglebillies with guns looking at "Chinese weather balloons" makes for interesting Sunday Church talk. Whiskey Keg legged Wonda can attest to that fact.
"Moto Hauler Edition" sounds better as that will cover every manufacturer. 👍😎
Thank you for the reply. I am going to see if I get any other replies but your pick is in first position. Anyone in Shingletown have a choice?
Back in '77 it was a choice between this and the Yamaha RD200 DX, I went Yamaha. That's a lovely resto.
Thank You
The 1979F model-and this 1980 G model share many parts-but the 1980 G tank was only used on the G model-maybe you were looking at the 79 Micro fiche
The 1979 ignition covers fit-basically all the yz,gt,mx 80 covers fit.
way too many bumps/lumps
repair the foam with sections of foam/contact cement, then wrap with a upholstery batting!!!
use a thin 3m duct tape on the pan edge-do not leave the old tape on.
Hey Bob. Do you have a heat shield for the exhaust pipe?
Yamaha never used the #4 bolts on any of the 78-81 YZ's I have owned all the models-they used plane 10mm head bolts with only the lock washers press on-washers were separate.
Yamaha did not use the 4 bolts, most likely honda bolts.
Hi Bob. Is this THE Bob Hurricane Hannah? Anyway I am always learning. It is guys like you that helps me as I go. Each restoration is uncharted territory for me and every one is a totally different bike so that makes it even more of a challenge.
You were missing a pair of clutch plates for sure, new sprockets are available, do not understand installing used sprockets, I have restored a 1979 YZ80 to show quality, lots of new parts are available for the yz80's.
Thank you, sir, much appreciated
Wow! Great progress. Always like to see new videos from ya!
I’ll take that deck lid.
Hi Doug. If your talking about the roof it is for sale on ebay. I will sell it locally only @ $199
John, we here in Shingletown took a vote. When they make a JFK assassination movie, we want that Suburban to be the car the actor rides in. Only one problem came up in the vote. Yep, Old Judicial Suzie said that JFK was not around when that Suburban was made. So, we just shook our beers and sprayed her down for "dampening" our spirits... We took a second vote and Suzie won the impromptu wet tee shirt contest. Parties spring up in Shingletown all the time when voting season comes up!!! That "Chop Top Burb" would make a great Shinglebilly party mobile!!!! A Topless Gonad club limo. We will be watching the progress on this project. Make sure Chico gets those parts ordered early!!! Old Judicial Suzie said that her dream has always been to ride in a Topless Gonad Limo dressed like Lady Godiva, only older and more saggy... Ouch, my eyes started burning....
Hi Joe. The BURB has it's roots deep in Shingletown! Can you take a vote on my intention to wear a big floppy hat with a 3 foot quill in it? Also a duke of hazard horn? Things must be all-a-flutter in Shingletown since the news was broke on the Burb.
Very nice restoration! Congratulations. 😊
Still have my 82 same color.
Where did you foud this brand- new oem exhaust cause i’m looking for one for a very long time for my 1984 atc 200s (restoration)
Where are you located. Got a 79 YZ 80 that I’m looking to get restored.
The candy colors on these bikes are amazing! Great job.
I also check the PHin the plating bath. It can rise with use and it should be around 5.5. If you ever need to lower it ad a little muriatic acid let the pump run 15/30 minutes then re check. I had a big problem with the plating flaking and hoping like popcorn as it dried and I think it was the plating " pickeling" bath with high PhLevels. FYI
Make sure not to add too much brightener
Do you add the part A and part B Together, are they measured when you recieve the kit or do you need to measure out the contents.
I think the degreaser is one part with distilled water?
@JTSCUSTOMS I figured it out but thank you. My bolts came out looking like chrome almost, I polished them up real fast after plating.
Regarding the air filter. You ordered a 2nd rubber boot to connect the air cleaner to the carberator. But there was a 2nd boot in the kit. does that go on the back of the air cleaner? If so, can you show a photo of how it is orientated? I am nearly complete with a complete overhaul of a 1979 CT70 and the rear boot on the air cleaner is unclear to me. Thanks
Why don’t people wash there projects before they try to restore them
I am 68. I never knew that the GT185 was electric start !
Absolutely beautiful XR75! Nice job on the restoration! My first bike was a '79 XR80, which IMO was the best version of the '75'. Bigger engine, and still had the low pipe, and similar bodywork. Such awesome bikes!
You could use half the water supply in all buckets as there only small parts plus just use longer copper hangers for the bolts to hang off. Not sure why many platers use ten litres of liquid for the part just to sit just above the water. It seems a lot of its wastage if you don’t intend to do large parts. I’d say you could still plate at a consistency of 5 litres. Bigger volume items like a brake caliper will raise the water level. It seems that you could plate lower water levels saving on solutions and acid and get the same results. When my dad worked in a plating factory the tanks were only half full. Stops over spilling and costs of the acid as when the items go in it would raise the water level due to volume of items.
Your absolutely right! I have gone down on the rinse bucket size and probably could go even smaller. The price of distilled water has gone crazy. I could even eliminate the " rinse after plating bucket " and just spray parts off before and after the chromate dip.
@@JTSCUSTOMS Yes I have just brought a plating kit at 10 litres and I was thinking well I only plate small items why do I need 10 litres it just takes longer to heat up and I could half everything including the electrolyte. I totally agree with you it’s crazy prices. Keep the 10 litre buckets but only fill half way. As a lot seems excessive to waste. Plus you will save on acid and cleaners. Unless your plating long items and need the depth of 10 litres. But with the home kits there only for small items. Nuts and bolts and brackets etc. then the thought of my dad working at the plating factory and me walking through the factory as a kid made me think the tanks were only half full. That’s why because you don’t need them full.. memories trigger for today. Great content
Your best friend will be a spray bottle of distilled water. It could do away with some rinsing
@@JTSCUSTOMS Brilliant, Really appreciate your content and advice it is very valuable. Will definitely use a spray bottle for rinsing. 👍
best bike i ever owned
No clue as to where "Shingletown" is.
