I have the same steering wheel I modified it wrapped it with leather sawed it on, cut a leather purse in strips, sprayed adhesive stitched, oh first a welded a web with thin rod clear coated. I figured the steering wheel and dash it what your going to see the most. I even made a customer box that sat in the middle of the driver seat and passenger that flip up and had a cooler to keep ice and cold drinks had two cup holder's. I used black carpet to cover the box. I had welded up holes in the dash to make it much smoother. Did a lot of swap meet hunting and junk yard hunting. All my wires were put in wiring looms I pulled out from car's in the junk yard, all my wires were labeled and heat shrink soderd together. My suburban had a 327/400 tranny 15"/8" 50's wide tires lowering spring's 4 " in front 3" in back it had a rake in the front a little higher in the back to haul weight.
wheels are painted the same color as the top. rings and sombrero hub caps.
I do have picture's of it I should up load the picture's along with other car's I built year's ago.
I'm going to start my brother 1966 Chevy panel truck. I want to lower it down the same way I did my suburban because the frames are pretty much the same from 1964-72 frames crawl under many of those truck's

Well, John, Shingletown held an impromptu town meeting on the progress of the Suburban Moto Hauler. We were thinking that this would make a great 4th of July Parade mobile, for Shingletown, especially when Beer Belly Billie gets up and gives his annual "Freedom Belly Dance" while wearing his newly imported Banana Hammock... It is quite the sight and with the top down design, ole Billie can get things swaying in the back of that Burb... Keep up the good work John and yes, Bikes are better! Chico says that he signed on as a "Bike's Parts Manager", not a "Cager Parts Manager." There could be some rumblings about job switch if you don't smooth things over with Chico by getting him an ice cream this weekend. Cheers, from Shingletown!!!

Hello to Shingletown! I looked over Chico's job description and your right, I am asking for more than he signed up for. The Burb has air shocks in the back so we are good if Billie gains a few pounds over the summer. We will just have to add a little air and it will be good to go. I worry about beer spillage on the new carpet so we will have to lay down some plastic that will double as a slip and slide. Love hearing from you Joe.

I built a 1972 GMC SUBURBAN, I know what all goes into building on of those suburban I updated the seats and back seats got rid of the stock seats were to heavy. You did a great job on customising your rig 👍🏾

I've seen a long bed truck done like that he put seats in the back of the truck and shorten the front windshield.

The only way it's going to look right is shorten the front windshield?
