You deserve a medal trying to rely on a JCB Fastrac, after having the displeasure of owning a few.. what mechanical nightmare's!! Absolute must with a frOnt mount is a reversible fan. We moved to fendts and 7r JDs. Have thousands upon thousands of hectares under my belt with Claas triple mowers. Best day mowing in rocks was 72 broken blades. And yes when we got quick change blades over bolts 20years ago was a game changer.

Just curious if a merger was ever thought about for bringing windrows together instead of rotary/v rake?

You’ll have to go further with the European kit. A lot of them have a twin rotor rake on the front linkage. This means raking & baling becomes a one pass operation. In Europe because the weather is much wetter the crop will be tedded out to dry quicker. 👍

U should take a demo of a McHale v8950 or 960 they are beast of a bailer

Pretty cool watching the 2 FasTrac's. Thinking the young buck in the raking tractor needs a rock box on the front 3pt so he can stop and pick any rocks instead of resting and waiting for baler to catch up. Wear of that take out 😂😂😂😂

How fast can you go with a rotary rake? I have got a wheel rake and can easily go 10mph, was wonder if a rotary rake can go that fast.

Enjoy your bumper crop. Cause not everyone in Alberta is getting good hay crops. Mine are still below average. Also i see someone on Facebook using your thumb nail picture for the video to advertise their hay for sale.

I remember we refreshed a couple small (10 ac) fields by till, wheat, & seed (timothy-alfalfa mix). The following year we got 100+ small squares per acre.

Problem with a good hay crop is it isn’t worth as much per bale as a dry year. 🤣👍🍺🍺. Nice having a decent crop, been three years here too since the last one.

Terrific video David. That Krone triple-header disc mower is sure a step up from the old 7-ft sickle mower I used to use. I hate sickle mowers. But I suppose they were a big step up from bending over with a hand sickle or sweeping with a scythe. And congratulations on that crop.

The Icons are excellent. I’ve driven both the old model and we have three icons at work. The Vulcans are excellent and extremely comfortable and spacious and the suspension is in another league from other brands. The new icon controls and screens are the best I’ve ever used in any brand- if you know how to use an iPad the Icons screen and software will be a breeze to work out. The only issue with the Icons is they get a lot of software glitches and issues and have been continuing to do despite jcb updating them. Most are solved however by just turning of/isolating the battery and turning on again.

The biggest question I’ve got…….. are you going to delete the DEF in that JCB. Lol 😆. Minute the warranty comes off my new Kubota it’s getting a delete. Hasn’t caused trouble, but I’m not going to wait for it to like our pickups.

Boy, between the worms, frost, and gophers that poor crop didn’t stand a chance. The only thing you were missing was grasshoppers……. Farming can sure wear on a guy sometimes for sure. Fellow I bought bulls off of had planted sorghum up here in northern Alberta, figures he lost his to frost too, figures he’s gonna slam some oats in to make some greenfeed. I’ll watch whatever you decide to put out, interesting how you tackle producing feed.

Congrats on wrapping up, what a challenge for you but you did it with grace and kept your head up. Love the drill and all the various content, always something to learn so thanks for sharing that knowledge as you go.

Can only piss with the 🐔 you were given 🤣Seems this weather been messed up all over, we are in Scotland and normally March & April is seeding time but this year we were late may for combinable cereals and arable silage mind June. Rained since end of September and snowed in June!
