Hey David. Looks like a good field for bowhunting 😏 We are all so happy the Avatar has worked well for you. It was fun to follow along this year. Thanks for putting it online.
Hey Mike! Thanks for following along and helping with the journey of our new drill! We are VERY happy with it and ironically already looking forward to plant 2025! hahaha is that bad?
We get biosolids application from the local pulp mill. Full of nitrogen, phosphorus and other great nutrients. Highly regulated, but we don’t have to fertilize for three crops after application. Works great for us.
Rare to see open land seeded back to pasture or hay up here. We do quite often as cattle producers. But most guys around here, once it’s worked up, stays grain. Kind of a shame in a way, but good in another. Means this cattle cycle will stretch out for awhile till land starts getting planted back to grass to grow the herd.
Still disappointed that there's no info on that Avatar model Horsch's NA website, aka not offered except by special request. There is the Pronto but that adds a compact disc - read more aggressive - that might not fit everyone's needs.
Yes, we experienced that as well. We had to go through the euro website for stats. It took a little more to get this variant here, but now that we have a few thousand acres on it we are 100% satisfied that it is the drill for us on this farm.

Where did you get the seeds? 😅
We buy all of our Cover-crop, Grass, Hay, and Pasture Seed from DSV-Northstar. A fantastic company to deal with if you need seed!
