  • With a few extra minutes this spring, we thought a comparison video between our 2 favorite tractors and a discussion about why we do things the way we do would be fun, so here we go!

Two of the best tractor parked right there I’d love to own a fastrac with a loader and we do own 4 Deutz tractors two loader tractors and two main work tractors a 6145G tuned to 170hp and an older 140 Deutz agrosun with over 16000hrs

The Icons are excellent. I’ve driven both the old model and we have three icons at work. The Vulcans are excellent and extremely comfortable and spacious and the suspension is in another league from other brands. The new icon controls and screens are the best I’ve ever used in any brand- if you know how to use an iPad the Icons screen and software will be a breeze to work out. The only issue with the Icons is they get a lot of software glitches and issues and have been continuing to do despite jcb updating them. Most are solved however by just turning of/isolating the battery and turning on again.

I see a dual auger setup on your grain trailer in the background, what brand is it?

Never heard of flexxaire. I have a couple machines that could really use a reversing fan.

The biggest question I’ve got…….. are you going to delete the DEF in that JCB. Lol 😆. Minute the warranty comes off my new Kubota it’s getting a delete. Hasn’t caused trouble, but I’m not going to wait for it to like our pickups.

I thought about a smaller Kubota simply over def but I needed the bigger M5 too much, looked into deletes and there does seem to be a decent market so it'll probably get one once it's out of warranty (and probably buy another tractor to cover for it in case of complications)

Do you know your Fastrack number plate reads like a heavy duty belch?

Hahaha your right it kinda does! More meant as a sound something motorized makes as it flies by you at blistering speeds... haha

It is not that simple when it comes to the most important parts. The Fastrac transmission is designed and manufactured by Fendt in Bavaria. The Fastrac engine is made by AGCO Sisu in Finland.
The Deutz engine is German, but the tractor manufacturer Deutz-Fahr is part of Same, which is Italian, and so is much of the engineering. Some series from Deutz-Fahr do not even have a Deutz engine and some tractors are made in Italy.
