Another awesome video, like going to school each time but with a pleasant teacher 😊 the triples did a great job cutting my oat greenfeed. Thanks neighbor
Dude, I don't know what camera you're using, but those colors POP!!! I don't really have an experienced answer for your airflow filter issue, but maybe a suggestion that MIGHT be worth looking into. We use those furnace filters on our box fans to collect dust, dog hair and smoke (when yalls wild fires affect us down here in Washington State) you might be able to zip tie one of those around your intake. I wouldn't think it would limit airflow, but those filters are super cheap. Lastly, the closest thing I've done by way of farming in the last 30 years (grew up on a cattle ranch in SW Colorado, did beef stock as well as grew alfalfa and dry land beans, Grandpa died and my folks sold the ranch, I'm kinda pissed about it lol) but now I play Farming Simulator with my boys. I did not know that Triticale could be mowed like that and fermented for silage. I've harvested it for a cereal crop. So now I gotta see if I can mow it next time I'm on. Great stuff brother! Stay safe, I'd love to be doing what you're doing vs this city life bullshit I do every day. So yeah, I'm a bit envious
We run our tripple mower on a 6250R... does a great job keeping the air cleaner clear. Deere just doesn't have a reversing fan, though, we haven't had any issues with overheating.
Mate's got a nozzle in his hooked up to air supply that fire a blast out just in of fliter when his fan reverses every 15min on his 4220. 2nd 1 he made up as had a massey 7726 before the jcb. Well try & get him to send some pics of it. Pretty sure used big brass teejet fan nozzles normally used for liquid fert on the fasttrac where the massey was a tube he made
Been a good year on my grain here. But you guys could have some of this rain we’ve been getting lately, I’d like to finish up haying and start greenfeed. My baler oats are over 5 ft tall right now, probably the heaviest crop of oats I’ve ever grown. Had some go 8, 5x6 bales an acre last year, think this may be better. Still in the milk stage here, waiting for the dough so it’ll dry better for baling.
Running a M7 with front mount and side mount mower with a reverse fan, only issue I have is with Timothy pollen that gets passed the hood screen and plugs the air filter every 4 to 5 hrs.
Im not quite sure how it works, but I've heard of people making a system that cleans their air cleaner every so often. Maybe you could make one of those systems?
a number of years ago i planted a crop of triticale and lupins for big bale silage ,massive crop ,one small field got fertilizer as well ,rediculous crop ,two and a half acres 50 big bales about three quarters of a ton each ,so tall sitting in cab opening up field you could not see where you were going ,half way up window of cab
I Hi try contacting couple of lads on here called the Hay team. They've been running fastracks fe donkeys years. They might have some suggestions te precleaning the air intake

U sure can ramble. Interesting though. How much HP
Hahaha thanks for the feedback! The 4220 fastracs have about 234hp.
Have used a stocking over the air intake
Thanks for the suggestion, yes we have. We have also tried using air filter pre-cleaner cloths.
Thanks for watching our videos!
