Euro Chronicles Ep. 20- Train Pain in France!!
Leaving Amsterdam, without a full reservation to Paris. We were cleared through Brussels, but had to buy a ticket to the border for Doreen. In France, the trains got bad and the kids and I got seperated from Doreen. We caught a regional train that we had to change 3 times, and the kids were a bit stressed that we just lost our mom.
Good news was she arrived before us and we eventually made it to the airport hotel, although after dark . We closed out this trip with another eventful train day, which seems to be a major occurance in Europe these days. Beware of the Eurail Pass!!

    This is re your drone footage. I have noticed that you have the same "skipping" of the image while panning sideways as I do on my Mavic 2 Pro. Were you able to determine why is that? Taking the same courses as you in May 2020

    Teaching newbies on a cat is a terrible idea as you can see. Everyone is clearly in over their head and nobody has the basics of a monohul yet. They will finish this course and still not even know how to dock a monohul in a finger slip. You ripped your fingers all up on the winch just trying to do a basic tack. We did dozens and dozens of tacks and jibes, and nobodies hands were bleeding. Learning should not be this difficult or painful. You would have got a lot more experience on a smallish monohull.

  • @bmsamson

    Interesting that you're on a cat since the 101/103 are for monohulls, I thought.

    • @fluidvibe
      @fluidvibe 5 років тому

      Hey Bennet- I think the 101/103 can be done on any sailing vessel be it a monohul, catamaran or even a smaller lazer. I just grabbed a class that had us living on board and was focused on catamaran. So, the course went over the exact same material, same test, just with a different vessel style. Thanks for inquiring.

      Usually schools use mono boats. Slip and maintenance cheaper. Some say it is better to mono first. You feel more? IDK, I have only single .

    I've really enjoyed watching your trip through Costa Rica (watched all 18 episodes). What a huge amount of work putting together the video series must have been. Well done!! We spent 2-weeks in CR in March 2019 and just loved it. Your video made me glad we had skipped Manuel Antonio. But we liked Tamarindo a bit more than you did; maybe it was coming from a cold Vancouver winter to the glorious blue skies of Guanacaste that coloured our experience. I kept a blog of our trip, though nowhere near as visually satiating as yours. costaricamarch2019.blogspot.com/. I've already booked our March 2020 trip which will include Samara this time. Thanks again for sharing.

    Herd Costa Rica Is really strict on bringing drones into the country. Will be visiting ther next week and wasn't going to bring my mavic . Did u have to do anything special to bring and fly yours?

    • @fluidvibe
      @fluidvibe 6 років тому

      Hey Eric, Costa Rica wasn't really strict on anything except security at Walmart. We were there in July and August, with no issues. I was flying a DJI spark and never once had any problems. I did notice there are a lot of little airports that sometimes you don't realize are near and the flight plan has to be changed up a bit. I regularly saw other mavics and phantoms throughout our 3 weeks traversing the entire country. On another note, Nicaragua I heard will confiscate your drone, as they are illegal there. Have an awesome trip and I hope this helped ease your mind.
