Euro Chronicles Ep. 8- Final Day feeling Like Delos! French Riviera

In Episode 8, we wake to a glorious morning and proceed to let the dinghy slip away. We get on the sail back to Bandol to return the boat. We cruise for about 6 hours while dreaming of doing this full time. Rock out to Delos's theme song Ramukanji and just enjoy our last bit of time on the water. Doreen sees a shark and we dock up to the fuel dock like pros.
Unfortunately, we didn't know which gas was diesel and had some trouble figuring it out. Gazole- diesel in french for anyone reading. We head from the fuel dock into the Bandol Marina for a safe and uneventful Med mooring with my seasoned crew.
We hand over the keys and let them know the boat wasn't full prepped to begin the season. They hadn't flushed the tanks, so the water smelled like shit the entire week. They said that it only needed to run for 1-2 minutes straight to get the smell out- well that wasn't the case, after a full week it still smelled of rotten eggs from sitting all winter. They hadn't fueled up the dinghy engine which led to me learning how to row the second night in St. Tropez. And Lastly, There was no inverter on the engine which I expected from a new charter boat, but was told they had a dc inverter in the office- they just forgot to give it to us.
Besides all of these things it was truly like camping on the water, one of the most memorable trips of our lifetime til at least we buy our own boat. Keep sailing, Keep smiling, and feel the vibe!!
