Who am I? Just a "normal" Aussie bloke.
Live in Sydney, married, house full of kids. Yes they are mine. Fly aeroplanes for a living.Ride motorcycles for fun, transport, and Vlogging. I have made several Vlogs on Livevideo but have just started uploading them to UA-cam. As time goes on I'll transfer more across here.
I used to ride a Kawasaki KLX250 in the dirt/mud/grass/sludge etc, and a Kawasaki ER6F (Ninja 650R) everywhere else. Since I sold the KLX, I only ride on the road. :( I really enjoy long distance MC riding but haven't had much opportunity....yet.
I also LOVE playing the guitar. I have a Fender Stratocaster, which I play mostly at our Church, and at home for FUN.
I'm getting back into my childhood hobby too..Radio Control Aircraft. This time Helicopters!! eek.
I also have a small video production company...Pixel8 Productions.
Trust you all enjoy my videos.

Drift Ghost XL Pro Night Video

A viewer asked if I could do a night shoot with the XL Pro, so I braved the cold and obliged. :) I had to do s bit of colour correction to make it similar, but not the same, as the Insta 360 1 R mounted on the handlebars. The verdict? Let me know in the comments. I also have a shout out to Itchy Boots and Charley Sinewan.

What’s the bill for that fall?
@@CHUNKYNUGGET666 I'll tell you in part 2 in a week or so.
You need to make another version of this video with just the last minute. And then put a link under that to the full version.
@@M13 yes, I could do that. Or tell folks to go to the last minute if they don't want to watch up till then. :)
That's a bugger..... at least he makes a good recovery.
@@robdotcom71 Part 2 will show the recovery. Upload in a week or so.
Hope you get better soon! Just bought the Garmin InReach Mini2 a couple of days ago and on the Enabled plan for AUD $13.50 per month. Used it yesterday tracking my ride and sending updates every 10mins on location into shared online map as was going out of mobile range. Best peace of mind as I ride alone most of the time exploring.
@@andrew390 worth every cent. A lifesaver....literally. part 2 will be up next week.
I am happy to pay the $20 a month In-reach subscription, hopefully I'll never need to use it but great peace of mind for my wife and myself in case I need to push that SOS button. Glad in turned out OK for you guys in the end.
@@nevillegreg1 yeah worth every cent! I'll post part 2 next week.
3:33 , your brother needs to keep his feet on the pegs ....
It's never a good video knowing a helicopter has been called however you brothers are larrikin blokes and we all enjoyed the humour considering. Speedy recovery.
I get the bike might be leaking fuel but why is everyones first point of action to pick up the bike... stuff the bike.. switch it off and get to the rider.
Fire ! If everything is on fire , it's harder to treat the patient...😊
Wow, I hope your brother is ok. That Garmin is a life saver must look into that. Hope all goes well.
@@brentonl2631 thanks. (I am the brother. :) ) Long road to full recovery. More details in Part 2 next week.
Poor bugger. Hope he didn't break anything...
@@zzzsydneyhom1379 I still laugh when I hear that. :)
Like how you both stayed calm in that situation! Im just starting my dirt riding adventure on a heavier bike after many years of road riding. Not inspring alot of confidence.
My main problem on the day was fatigue. I go into more detail in Part 2..in a week or so. If you do short rides, stay hydrated and fed, you'll be fine.
Do some real live off-road training courses. YT outlines the techniques but the only way to becomes better and gain confidence is to actually get out there and ride/practice the techniques. Bit by bit by bit. It's not a race.
@@nevillegreg1 I've been doing a few local graded fire trails around colo nsw. Working on my legs fitness as well. Got a PLB as well so getting there slowly

@@eliasmora715 yes. I could have stood up a lot more than I did.
Aye mate that was not easy to watch. I pray you are healing well.
@@britex3186 I agree! Even knowing the end result. Thanks, much appreciated my friend.
That was tough to watch. Glad you are on the mend.
@@ingmarm8858 thanks mate. Yeah, it was a while before I could watch any of it, not to mention edit it!
Glad you're OK! Or well enough to edit videos. Never had the balls to go off-road myself. Used to have a Versys 650 but realized very quickly I'm not tall enough to really deal with it. Lovely bike to ride on the open road, but was on my tippy-toes too much of the time. Crashed it, and against all good sense, replaced the Versys with a Ninja 650 as soon as the insurance check cleared. :)
Thanks buddy. It's taken a while as I couldn't sit properly for some time. It's funny, I went the other way to you. Ninja 650 to the versys. (1000, because I'm tall enough). The Ninja was a great bike. I'm glad you are still riding.
@@brotherblonde I'm no longer riding. Epilepsy has that slight effect. My main set of wheels these days is family cars and the local bus. I do miss riding. Every time a pack of sport bikes goes by, I wish for a better brain. ;)
@@dv8tion242 oh mate, I'm sorry to hear that. I hope it is manageable for you to do "normal" activities.
19:44 That snake. Eeek ! I remember being on a back road in the bush and a snake was stretched out across the road. I didn't notice until it was too late. Thankfully I was driving a car at the time. I've stepped on a snake (in the laundry wearing a pair of thongs) going down at night time to grab the washing (scary). I leaped. forwards a good 2 metres (longest jump I've ever done) I even kicked a snake once running in the bush (exercise). It went flying through the air (ended up over my shoe. As I noticed, I kicked hard and stopped. It slithered off about 5 - 8 metres away when it landed. 20:36 That's something I worry about when going for a ride. If I come off, it's going to hurt. I'm not young anymore and a little more fragile. Good thing you're ok. Those SOS devices can be a life saver whether it be a fall or a snake getting you.
Eek indeed! I couldn't believe how fast it did the 180 and struck! Definitely a Coastal Taipan. Nasty things! The pain was unbelievable. You'll believe it when you see part 2! Unfortunately as we get older, things break more easily and take longer to heal :(
Yes the SOS definitely saved my life. More will be revealed.....
Glad you are ok BB. That was a hard vid to watch at the end. Maybe you should not have switched from the Airbus to the Boeing and stayed with the bike you knew? Or sort of knew?
@@aviaterred thanks mate. I hear ya! I might stick to the road bike from now on.:)
Beautiful ride, great commentary. Next time you're out this way I can recommend a cafe 'End of the Road Cafe' perhaps I can take you there 😊
A fun day with your daughter! Terrific video with great camera work and amusing commentary. Oh, you did mention that you flew over the harbour bridge, but no mention of flying under it 😊
This is so cool, mate. I'm SO out of shape. I almost get winded going to check the post! It's so good to spend time with your daughter. Mine loves to ride the Spyder. We try to ride as must as we can. Brother, we have more time behind us than in front of us. Make every moment count.
Careful.. there's a black panther in the area of blue mountains/ Lithgow! & it hates motorbikes! Yikes..
G'day again dear friend! That's a great scenic ride up to Lithgow, isn't it. Sticking to the max 100 kph is nicely relaxed, especially compared to your normal 900+ kph on other days!! Many hundreds of years ago when I was a young Pharmaceutical Rep motoring West to my "Country Territory", I used to choose Bells Line of Road over the Gt Western Highway whenever possible. I was always amused by the uber-glamorous "Lithgow Scenic Brickworks" just out of town. (Is it still there?) Other Bells LIne memories are the Bilpin apples and the spectacular Bellbird Hill Lookout. Happy trails mate.
Gday my young friend. Sometimes 900kph is more relaxed than 100kph sharing the road with idiots. :) I didn’t notice the brickworks….I had my eyes closed at that stage haha. The road is much more interesting than the Gt Western Hwy to Lithgow.
Nice ride. Pity about speed limits
@@adventurerider512 thanks. Yeah a real bummer.
Good riding, great video. I like the spectators.
Thanks Matt. Slowly getting there. It’s easier on an 8kg Scott, Giant or Trek, than a 250kg Kawasaki. Haha. The kids were cool, they enjoyed the “show”. :)
Moto-Jitsu sent me, nice job mate!
Cool, thanks mate. Don’t forget to sub. ;)
Thanks for the vid! (I couldn't help it though, an OLD car advert popped into my mind, where they take off and just run down all the traffic cones. Can't remember if it was SAAB or Volvo) :) :) :)
I can re-create it if you want, on the bike instead of a car. :)
Well done, mate! Most of the younger ( what am I saying, everyone is younger than us) riders don't take the time to sharpen their low-speed maneuvering skills for the dodging of cars on the street. I would have forgotten that I was in a turn and waved at those kids and then fell down like Artie Johnson on Laugh-In on his Tricycle and hit the deck! 😂
Thanks mate. Yeah, there was a bit of a distraction with them there, but it's all part of the training, I guess. :)
Good job
Thanks.
Oh look, a brotherblonde video! I was actually wondering how you were doing the other day. I don't know if you remember but about 15 years ago I found your channel as a new rider on a Ninja 650 who also happened to be a new flight instructor. Fast forward to last Saturday when I was in Sydney as a 777 first officer. I was out near the rocks waiting for the vivid drone show to start (it got cancelled due to weather), and I wondered if you were still flying and/or riding. I'm not sure if you're still flying but I'm glad to see that you're riding again/still.
Hey mate, nice to hear from you! This is my 3rd vid in the past couple of weeks. I've been riding all this time but Just bought the Versys 1000 last month. Love it!!! Yes, I'm still flying thanks. I'm a Check and Training Capt on the A380. I do the line training, not the Sim stuff.
Great video! I really like these little updates!
Thanks Biddi.

Nice bike! I want one now.
Well, get one! 🙂🏍️. Sorted.
Your riding skills are better than mine :D Mind you, my bike sits for 3 - 6 months between rides (should really sell it). My bike also wont do under 18 KPH without the clutch in. That's one of the reasons why with flying you need to keep your hours up. You can't just get a licence then not fly for 2 years then go out again. I think the cone thing comes down to geometry / setup of the bike. Some just do tighter turns but I'm rubbish at slow turns now. My old 600 would let me do slow sharp turns however.
Noooooo don't sell her!!!! (Unless you get another one). Just go out for a ride....and video it for us. :) 🙂 You are right about staying current. It applies to everything...use it or lose it.
Interesting vid, thanks for posting. I’ve had my 2022 V1K S for close to two years now. Took me quite a while to get comfortable with it for slow speed manoeuvring - as I can’t flatfoot the bike despite being 6ft. I was shit scared of dropping the thing. Much less worried now. I took the V1K on a run from Canberra to Perth and back March/April this year to attend a rally in Mandurah. Perfect machine for that sort of work. All the best with your new purchase.
Yeah, I hear ya. Even after 1 week of practice (the video was day1), I'm feeling a lot more comfortable on it. Id love to do a long ride like that one day! Thanks mate.
This is actually really useful - thanks for posting!! (I've NEVER ridden a bike before. "Considering" a Honda XR150L as a first, assuming I actually go and get a learners permit. Drawback is I've watched so many "overseas" videos, my instinct would be to (on a bike) head down the RIGHT hand side of the road! Gotta be careful what we watch!)
Thanks, I’m glad it’s been useful. You’re re right about overseas videos on the “wrong” side of the road. I wish you all the best with getting your Ls and bike. The 150 is a good size to start with. Very sensible.
Most underrated bike built. Fantastic for long distances!
Enjoy. I own a 22 SE LT+. The seat gets hard after 30 mins but it's a great Bike and when you want she'll run.
Nice. Unfortunately we can’t get the SE in Aus. I’ll probably get the Airhawk seat inserts to help the numb bum. :)
Nice one, enjoy. I’ve purchased a bike from there. Good people.
Yes you're right. I friend also bought from there. Very happy with them.
Good choice. Same as I have.
Thanks, we must have good taste. :)
