When in LA I saw totally different things... 3 guys and 2 girls trying to sell me a stolen cell phone then asking me if I needed a date (girl for hire ? Trying to work out if I have money ) and then asking me for the remaining 25 cents I told them I had (downtown LA near the airport) 2 guys at the bus station trying to rip me off pretending to be taxi drivers at about 23:30 after a 6 - 7 hour bus ride. and a taxi driver who didn't know where my hotel was even though it was a large hotel that was only about 3 blocks away. I did go for a cycle in San francisco however.
I’m glad I wasn’t where you were. :) Long Beach used to be a bit dodgy years ago, but it has been cleaned up a lot. San Fran would have given you a good workout with all the hills! I can’t believe I hadn’t hit the “bell” for your channel. How slack of me. I have now. Cheers.
@@brotherblonde Too late. I don't really post anymore . Haven't for years although there is one video coming out in about 6 months I think. When I went it was 2004. As for the hills, I just stayed down near the river and cycled across the golden gate (in the pedestrian area as the cars are speeding on the bridge. When I was leaving LA via a shuttle bus to come back home the shuttle bus driver told me this side of town is a bad (I agree). I was telling him about the experiences I had. He was a nice guy who had brought his son along to work for the day. I even gave his son a packet of life savers. One thing I do remember about San francisco is when I was cycling I saw some guy on a bicycle which I asked for directions near the golden gate who asked me where I got the bike from . I told him a hire shop. He asked how much and I told him. He said he could have got a better price just purchasing one (a stolen one). As you're probably aware, SF has a lot of crime and tourist crime. The multiple person walking down a street, looking in the window, smashing the car window stealing the purse then running off. 5 - 6 guys will smash about 15 car windows in 3 minutes emptying the goodies out. Regardless, San francisco was my favourite place to visit in the entire trip.
