My friend and I have done all but the last 3 L4D1 maps (We're on Blood Harvest) on Expert Realism and my god having 2 AI is more frustrating then having our other two friends play with us on normal Expert Campaign but at least our friends have a bit more of a brain cell and accuracy than the AI. Also if you aim at the head (Except the Tank as it has no head hitbox) it insta-gibs, 2 shot or a few less bullets depending on the gun and depending on the Special AI. Shotguns, imo, not good for Expert Realism

Well done. Many younger players of this game series don't know how this story was developed. When the game first appeared in early access, there was no "lore" at all. The developers were simply trying to make the game mechanics work. Many popular UA-cam players did a LOT of speculating on what the story might be even though there was no indication that a story was even planned. The first attempt to create a story was the Degasi story line. It wasn't voiced and only marginally revealed in PDA texts. It was disjointed, confusing and contradictory, and didn't follow the final story of Paul, Maida, and Bart. Many gamers still persisted in their speculations that the planet had been inhabited by an older race of beings that somehow had been wiped out, possibly by global flooding. Eventually the developers introduced the buildings of the Architects and a hint at their technology but no explanation of who they were or what they had been doing. During this time, still in Beta, the Degasi story was cleaned up, voiced, and we finally knew what had happened. It seemed that the three had met the same but separate fates. The story of the Degasi ultimately had no effect on how you played the game. The next stage in story development was designed to hand hold the player through the game progression and the series of Arora escape pod messages was developed. Each pod investigated led the player through a logical progress of tech development and finally to the discovery of the Architects' main lab - still with no explanation as to who or what they were, just an ancient race that had disappeared long ago. The full story of the Architects wasn't presented until 2018 when the game was fully released, some four years after the early access release in 2014. Generally speaking this is probably the WORST way to develop a story driven game. Only a few games have achieved success by writing a story to fit the game play long after people have been playing the game without a coherent story.

One common mistake i've seen with people playing this game is how they move around so much, as if they're playing valorant or overwatch, or any pvp fps game. Friendly fire doesn't always mean bad aim. Sometimes, having your friends move around so much can also cause unwanted/unintended friendly fires. Might wanna try to at least stand still, or use crouch to help people from the back fire freely.

Me and my friends got 3 achievement in dark carnival. 1.Expert - realism 2. Play the finale without going down the stage 3. Board gnome in the chopper It's hella fun and frustrating that you have to redo the game multiple times just to complete these.

I got this achievement in 2014.... I don't remember getting it like, but I was hard in to L4D2 at the time. I also remember joining an unofficial server and getting about 5 achievements all at once.

I may be late asf, but if you wanna try it again, the easiest campaign by far for this achievement is The Parish, 1st chapter is free rushing, 2nd bit harder to rush but with melee still easy, 3rd is hard only because of its length, 4th is the hardest but bc you gotta hold a spot but not for so long, and the last one is to run nonstop.

I remember beating swamp fever Expert realism with bots it take me 5 hours with 180+ Restarts

tbh i like the prawn suit. on my first run i got pretty good with the jump jets and grappler for swinging off terrain or reefbacks like a monkey. and you can fly pretty far underwater if you get good with feathering jump jets, which i have practice with from an unrelated game. it suffers in vertical climbs tho, but in my opinion the fun aspects of swinging like a monkey, piloting a mechsuit and drilling for enough titanium to fuel my base building obsession outweighed the bad. but, thats my opinion
