Yeah, but it's more survival-based than horror-based. This game is a little bit more on the horror side, but also has a relatively extensive survival side as well. Definitely more focused on horror though.

Really like how unintuitive and confusing this is before you even "start" the game. Like, it's as if it's designed to filter anyone who just wants a casual adventure with jumpscares.

Jesus, what a terrible UI
Like, there's a reason why despite the dark tone of Subnautica the oxygen meter was big bright and colorful. It was important. But the game didn't want you to have to stare at it. it was designed so you could monitor it without looking at it directly and focus on the world and the atmosphere.
A tiny little number for oxygen in the middle of a bunch of other numbers that you don't even notice at first is a terrible idea for something so critical. either you will accidentally forget it is there or you will stare at it and not the world the devs designed.
i'm sure someone will come along and tell me it's a conscious choice to fit in with the game's aesthetic. Yes. Obviously. But just because something was on purpose doesn't mean it's a good idea.
yeah i REALLY should have touched on the ui during my feedback section of the video, was a learning curve just to get used to the ui itself lol
