Miss Anglophilia
Germany
Приєднався 7 чер 2020
Welcome to my channel! I’m Eva, the woman behind Miss Anglophilia. At the age of ten, I had my first encounter with the English language at school. My teacher never tired of telling us inspirational stories about culture “on the island”. And that was it - I fell in love with it all! Fast forward many years, I hold a university degree in English and German linguistics, have visited my favourite island many times and just can’t stop loving it. Momentarily located in beautiful Bavaria, I like to incorporate English/ British traditions, food and style into my daily life.
I’d love to share my passion here with you and hope to inspire you.
So make yourself a cup of tea and enjoy!

MY COTTAGE GARDEN IN SUMMER '21 / relaxing garden tour / English roses & lavender| Miss Anglophilia
At the height of summer I'm all in for another relaxing tour of my cottage garden. I love my English roses, the lavender and other flowers that attract all sorts of little friends - including one of Europe's largest bees (violet carpenter bee). Can you spot it in my video? :-)
I'll also use some of my berries for my morning porridge and to make jams and a fruity cake. SUMMER!!!! :-D
Please visit my blog www.missanglophilia.com for more inspiration connected to my "favourite island"!
FAQ:
Where are you from?
- I am from Bavaria, but I love Britain!! :-)
What does "Servus" mean?
- It's a Bavarian greeting. :-)
Why Miss Anglophilia?
- At the age of ten, I had my first encounter with the English language at school. My teacher never tired of telling us inspirational stories about culture “on the island”. And that was it - I fell in love with it all! So Miss Anglophilia is me and it has been for many years.
Is this just about England?
- As for me, it all started with England which we were taught a lot about at school. I was lucky enough to live in England for a little while during my university years. There, I got to know many lovely people - not only English, but also Scottish, Welsh and Irish. So for me, “anglophilia” doesn’t stop at the English borders.
Why do you make videos about your garden?
- Well, I'm far from being a professional gardener, but just like many Britons I'm also fond of watching things grow in my garden. Over time I have changed some corners of my garden to give them a slightly British feel. In my series "My Cottage Garden in..." you can follow me through the garden year. I hope you enjoy seeing things change with the seasons. For me the garden is first and foremost a place to relax. With my videos I try to give you an opportunity to share in that experience with me. :-)

This is the most offensive thing my eyes have ever had to witness.
Fantastic recipe thanks so much ❤
In UK just need to add a pork pie.Looks delicious.
To let the funky smell go, add a couple of spoons of vinegar in the resting water of the kidneys.. then that time period will shorten to just 10 to 15 minutes
Hello, what a nice recipe. I have got a question. When you soak the raisins, do you put al the vinager in the cooking pot or only the raisins? Kind regards Marieke
Hello Mareike, glad you like the recipe. I add the raisins with the rest of the vinegar. 😊
Okay, Thank you for your quick reply!
Another question.....😅 It takes quite a lot of cooking time untill it gets thicker is that correct..?
Yes, that's true.

I always love cream tea, but I don't understand why the Cornish scone should have jam first then cream on top and why do many people love it that way, it doesn't make any sense... and for me, I prefer the cream first then jam after, that's from Devon...
🍞🍄🍓🍐Thank you for the video and beautiful music!

Hello from a half Englishman and an Anglophile
Great👍👍👍
LOVELY VIDEO THANKS
Just the way the soil nourishes the plants and help them to flourish, the same soil helps us to lead a healthy lifestyle. Do you know how??? Very simple. All you need is to allow your feet and soles direct contact with Mother Nature. In other words, go barefoot in your garden ALWAYS. Don't wear any form of footwear. Our feet are created to be bare and that's why there are a number of sensors/ nerve endings under our feet. When we walk on sand gravel and stones, our entire body gets a stimulation through these sensors. Also when we walk barefoot it allows your body to connect with the earth and absorb free Electrons from the earth's surface. Apart from the scientific side, our soles live and needs that freedom. They love to spread their toes and feel various textures of soil barefoot their toes. Also, regular barefooting makes the bones and joints strong and healthy. If you love and care for your feet and soles like the rest of your body, set them free snd allow them to feel everything under their feet. Believe me, it's an awesome feeling. Be totally barefoot ALWAYS inside the house as well as in your garden. Don't let anything come in between your soles and Mama Earth. Go barefoot always for good health and happy feet !!!
Love it! regards from Argentina 🇦🇷

Wow beautiful and colourful flowers! I love gooseberries.
That is a rather nice garden you have there, Eva. I missed out on sunflowers this year. But on the plus side I have a few hollyhocks ready for next year's flowers. I notice you have honey bees feeding. I haven't seen one on my wildflower meadow yet - but dozens of bumblebees!
Nicely done!
