      They do come in about a 3 foot coil, but that's not those. I tend to stick 2 of the 1 foot ones together, then keep them at the ready. When it starts to get too close to the gun, I attach another 2 feet of glue. 🤔 One of these days, I need to make a tips-n-tricks video... or 5. Maybe I can drop them as shorts, on all the socials

    You could imagine those drawers pull out to hold baskets of products

    • @CampaignTerrain
      @CampaignTerrain 6 місяців тому

      Totally. I toyed, for a moment, with the idea of turning them into real drawers. The tiny scale, though, made that nigh impossible. If I ever build similar, from the start, to have drawers, that might well work

    • @crystalclearchaos5387
      @crystalclearchaos5387 6 місяців тому

      @@CampaignTerrain i just Thought of just makeing multiple some with closed drawers and some open just cut off the current drawers built some fake ones out of popsicle sticks and make the front look like the original put some soup can lid metal on the back of them and a magnet on the front of the stand so you can store it ez or if you want to convert it into a different stand or if you want to make a modular open close version

    • @CampaignTerrain
      @CampaignTerrain 6 місяців тому

      The carcass ("body" in cabinetry speak) is solid. I'd have to create a void, for the drawers. If built that way, from the start, easy enough. Working with the already built piece, not worth the effort

    • @CampaignTerrain
      @CampaignTerrain 6 місяців тому

      In the bottoms, to help with stability? Not a bad idea. Once these are leaned against a wall, they're stable. Stand-alone, though, they can get a little "tippy". Or were you meaning something else?

    • @Slurgical_3D_Terrain_Channel
      @Slurgical_3D_Terrain_Channel 6 місяців тому

      @@CampaignTerrain yup, that is what I meant for the stand alone stability. Have bolts, and if you use one of those cheap magnet sheets, it’s even better. I don’t know about the magnet spray. If that is transparent you can spray those tiles down.

    • @CampaignTerrain
      @CampaignTerrain 6 місяців тому

      I've thought of using metal under floors, and magnets in the scatter. Not sure if that will work, with my City Block Blocks, though. Might be a little dangerous, to be opening and closing sheet metal. But I like the bolts/screws idea, muchly

    How well does the plastic spray bottle hold up to the acetone?🤔

    • @CampaignTerrain
      @CampaignTerrain Рік тому

      Depends on the specific materials, in the bottle, and the mechanism. I find bottles hold up pretty well. After all, fingernail polish remover comes in PE bottles, and that's largely acetone. I have had all the gaskets blow out, in one of the sprayers, but that was because I usually don't empty out my bottles. Basically, I suggest "Always rinse thoroughly, after each use"

    How about heat pressing a 3D printed texture roller?

    • @CampaignTerrain
      @CampaignTerrain Рік тому

      That can work, at least on the smooth side. The foam would need to be pretty hot, first, and would need to cool, basically as it was being rolled. If the foam is cold, it won't take the texture, but too hot, and it won't keep it well. I'd say keep the heat gun close, and wear gloves which will help with the heat The patterned side absolutely will _not_ take a new texture. The manufactured pattern is quite heat resistant Great question!

      Hey, that's a great idea. I've done "clapboard" roofs, for houses, with ice cream sticks, and with coffee stirrers. One could easily do these stalls, the same way, or at least give that impression, whilst creating a slope. I'll def give that a go. Thanks for the tip, and for watching 😃
