    Cool and simple, good idea to use tea, for drinkers a good way to reuse them.

      Glad you liked it. It really does make great flock. I'm so glad to have a use for it

    Very efficient! I like the grinder idea, will definitely give it a shot.

      You definitely should, Karl. I like it's easy. I like it's cheap. I _love_ it's basically instant

    Sweet new intro, choice music selection too. Excellent presentation.
    Really like the shorter vid length too.
    Solid technique, certainly saves you baking/drying it in the oven

      Thanks! I used to use a much wetter, messier technique, but then I had to wait for it to dry, sometimes multiple days, and then I still had to regrind all the lumps out. I _much_ prefer this

    Great turf! Can never have too many ways to make colorful turf. Keep up the good work.

      Thanks! Indeed. I plan to use the sawdust, to make some sakura (cherry blossom) trees, as well as some super bright greens, to make some fantasy trees. Thanks for watching :)

    Excellent video . I confirm what you said in this tutorial . I use black tea leaves under around the trees or for forest scenery in my dioramas . It does the trick !

      Agreed. Super simple. Super cheap. Readily available. Tea and sawdust are my go-to flocks

    Excellent. Love making flock. I do need to try it with tea leaves. I'm working on some jungle stuff for a guy, maybe I'll give it a shot with that

      Thanks! Sounds good, Jeremiah. Un-painted tea, both pre- and post-brewing, makes great jungle floor rubbble. The reason I say just use it plain is the size. Grinding it breaks it down, smaller, while the larger stuff looks jungle appropriate. Ditto larger dried herbs, such as oregano, basil, etc. If you add paint, it necessitates grinding. Good luck, with your build! :)

    Awesome and fast. Also - Darke Browne - when the "e" is added, you know that mess is *dark*. Cheers! :-)

      Glad you like! Yep, Ye Olde Darke is super duper extra creepy. Honestly though, it really is good for mucky places; peat bogs, rain-forest undergrowth, crevices of caverns, etc

    I met you in crazy crafters live stream. How did I ever miss this channel? I'm really enjoying your videos and professionalism in presentation. I'll see ya after the bump. This video wasn't around when I went through my sawdust phase or I would have much better homemade flock in the storage unit.

      Welp, you're here, now. :D That's really nice of you to say. I'm glad you're enjoying them. No worries, as I'm sure you'll need more flock, in future

    Cross; I love the video ALOT! You just convinced me to drink more tea. hre in Belgium the tea bags aren't that large tho :/
    Pro tip: Keep the tea bags aside for later crafts ;) (cloths, tents, curtains, wall deco's, ...)

    • @CampaignTerrain
      @CampaignTerrain  3 роки тому

      Yes! Drink moar tea. (I'm a tea addict. You don't have to follow my advice!) I have saved a lot of them; literally hundreds. I've thought about using them as cloth, but haven't done so. I do use them as papier-mâché. I've also considered trying them as moulding compound, with plaster, similar to Sculptamold®. Thanks for watching, and the comment, Sander :)

      @@CampaignTerrain I bought some paper insulation from Home depot and am using that along with plaster as scupltamould.I am having mixed results but have very little experience in playing around with the formula of paper to plaster and I have never actually owned sculptamold

    • @CampaignTerrain
      @CampaignTerrain  3 роки тому

      Plaster sets really quickly, as in less than 10 minutes, for Plaster of Paris. What I have heard is best to use, is 45 minute drywall compound, the powdered kind. It would provide a longer working time. Hope that helps
