Ideal Lawnscape was a company my brother and I started in the 80's. Over the next 20+ years, this business put my brother and I through college (a couple times in my case) and stayed as business while in education. I've now made this my FT job. Listing the gear used in this business over the years would take hours to share. This channel highlights watches and other everyday gear both on and off the job.
On a personal note, my success is a blessing from God alone that I don't fully understand or appreciate. In 2011, I experienced a calling from God so irresistible I submitted to God after he opened my eyes to who He is and who I am. From that point on, I have been experiencing a transformation away from a self-centered me and slowly embracing God's truth regarding the world in which I live. I am a believer because of Him alone.

CASIO Comparison Intro: GBDH2000; GBD300
New to the Casio fitness watches? Me too! I took both of these watches outside in 25 degree weather, walked a mile and then hit the record button.

BEST WATCH ⌚ FOR THE MONEY 💰💰💰💰💰..........
It's close to 40 USD where I bought it :)
I really like mine. Comfortable and keeps good time.
Yes to all you’ve shared.
I hope you review the casio TRT 110 soon, it's module is a hybrid between this watch and the W735H
Looking into it.
@Realidealgear awesome
Great overview and presentation - like the fellows here I plan to purchase one today
Excellent watch.
I really want a lumintop frog 3.0 with the ramping UI and the built in USB-C charging port that the Lumintop GT-Nano has. Also a titanium version would be awesome because my black anodized gen 1 gt nano has so many scuffs it's basically bare aluminum.
Also a 10280 size battery is over 3x more battery life than this 10180 and it's less than 40% bigger.
I agree with the UI upgrade.
Agreed on the battery. I do like the keychain size of the frog. Legit keychain size.
The W800H is a much better option for grown men than the F91W , IMO. Much larger strap and digits, and better display. The F91W looks awkward on my wrist, even though it's not overly large. The F91W makes a good first watch for kids. Thanks for putting together this awesome video, Tim.
Your welcome. Thank you sharing.
still worki,ng one year latter ?
Yes. Excellent watch.
Wish the rounder version of the GD350 (the GD400) was quite so overtly macho (bullbars being the big thing on that).
Thanks for sharing.
Rovyvon makes a few with 650 lumens
Yep.
I have had this watch for about 2 years and love it. Lume is outstanding and is so comfortable. Best thing fir me is it has lost about 2 seconds this year, not sure if i just got super luck but that accuracy is GS level!
Congrats on the movement! Such watches bring an extra joy! Have a great week.
These external apps are not great. Not cool watches, and u have more of theee coming in? Good luck with them.
I do have two more Casios coming in. I don’t mind either all, it’s the fact that’s there are two apps for essentially the same tasks that bothers me.
They both look cool! The GBD300 however takes it for me as Id rather change the battery every two years than charge the other one every now and then. That being said if they had solar it would have been a game changer! Hope you have a great week man!
Solar would be the best!!
I think the GBD-300 used the Move app because it is a repackaged GBD-200. As you said it is a shame that we still need to use two apps. I hope this will be the last watch that uses the Move app. Thanks for the video. I really like the GPR-H1000 Rangeman. Assuming you haven't reviewed one before I would like to watch you review one :)
I’ve not reviewed the GPRH1000. It’s a consideration.
Dang, brother, I’ll just wear my basic g shocks and wear my Garmin Instinct 2x solar for fitness. A lot more user friendly. Have a great weekend!
True.
Eagerly waiitng for Tim"s review comparing them with GBX 100.
It’s on its way.
@ I am trying it out for less than a week and I have more positive than negative experience comparing to many other Casio and G Shock.
As they say… First!
It’s a labor of love!
Do you want to sell this watch? I'm looking for a 35695.
Sorry, gave it to my step son. It’s a beauty.
@@Realidealgear Awesome! Thanks for the reply ...
Wish they would move to solar, frustrating having to worry about a battery
That would be a killer combination!
Good information. I have a Rangeman with a negative display but over the years it's become even harder to read. And now the display has a hotspot in the middle for some reason so I'm looking to get a new watch. This has all the features and a better display. Especially for us older farts. However before I make my purchase I'm going to watch some more of your videos this month. If you could recommend a G-Shock with all these features but with less military looks that would be interesting.
Gbd300. Timer function is only through the smart phone, unnecessarily complicated. This function is designed for exercise. The step feature combined with GPS I like a lot. No heart rate or blood O2 sensor which keeps the battery life higher than other ‘h’ models. Two years on the battery (considering the step and GPS feature is good). The wearability and legibility of this watch with an MIP display is awesome. I’ve ordered the GPX100 model and the GBD200. They are more in line with the Square. Both are MIP displays with BT step features found in the GBD300. I like the looks of the GBD300.
Is there v3 version with 10280 battery and build in usb c ?
The nano might be what you’re referring to. To my knowledge, the Frog hasn’t been updated and is still v2
I hate negative displays they are cool looking but the visibility is terrible
True except the GD350 and MIP negative displays are excellent.
Casio please release GD350 with mip display!
Absolutely
The new model has LED lighting.
Good to know. Thank you for sharing
GD350 owner here. My light button just went limp, randomly. It's a bit disappointing given how rugged the watch looks.
That’s no good. First I’ve heard of that. Stinks to be the one it happens to.
The astronauts used to carry the master craftsman model, which is the ranger but with a Philips screwdriver in place of the corkscrew ! A great model that was, for some reason, discontinued many years ago! I have the early ranger without the hook and have carried it a lot over the years, and it's been all I need? Except perhaps for a proper Philips?
The Phillips swap is a great tool setup.
I just bought a Leatherman Skeletool and i think It'll complement the Ranger well for my edc needs. I live outdoors and this combo covers everything I need and nothing i don't.
That’s a great combo!
imagine the 2300 in G-steel!
That’s an interesting proposition!!
20 foot concrete drops on concrete when the EDC 35. 9 out of 10 On durability. That built in battery helps Torque Test Channel video. I agree on windshield though if this doesn’t have glass Breakers in the bezel. Built in battery is like a smart phone. But 1000-1500 dollars less. Not a big deal to update to a better or new light every couple years. 89 bucks is two people dinning out these days. Donate the older light to family member or what not. Flashlights update pretty frequently these days. Nitecore SRT7i. Glass beakers, instant Turbo, 100 lumen admin and strobe. 0.1-3k lumens stepless clicky or non clicky. Around 90k Candella. Mechanical lock out mode. Swappable 21700 batteries. Ideal tac light.
It’s one of the best options out there. Thanks for sharing.
Its not a normal stopwatch this one goes up to 1000 houres
Good to know. Thanks!
If you like the square, why don't you get the previous GBD200 version? Im waering the black one right now. I love the notifications too, so i dont need to keep pulling my phone out my pocket.
I wanted to try something different.
If I keep the watch on my wrist I get time keeping automatically at night
Maybe, it needs to be in a country that has the atomic/multiband 6 signal and the watch needs to be able to revive that signal. I’ve had 2 out of 3 successes in updating the time while inside my house. Probably due to being by a window when I’m sleeping (watch updates at 12:01am). It depends.
This is my favorite outdoor tool watch. For hiking and trekking activities is nice. The sunrise-sunset information are very useful and if you keep the altimeter tracking history in the upper window you can use this information for having a rough idea of the changes in weather conditions (if for example you are in outdoor activities) I agree with you... This watch is fantastic (vote 9/10) Great review!
Then you. I’ve received more comments on the 9400 series…I’m beginning to think the Rangeman is now I’m Legendary Status along with the 5600 Square. I love the outdoor features as well. Thanks for sharing!
The squared 5600 is an excellent watch and excels well for robustness and reliability (examples: aerospace field, astronauts) but in my modest opinion the 9400 is almost a perfect tool watch due to the full features inside, ABC sensors and solar system with charge level indicator. No maintenance and old style tech (no smart phone things, no bluetooth and no need to be recharged by a wire/transformer as a more evolved G-Shock). The barometer pressure tracking for me is a plus and on my side this is the more useful information when weather can do a bad joke when I'm outside in the middle of nowhere. By coincidence my brother (who lives 18.000 kms far away) chose the 9400 for outdoor and myself as well (without any information exchange between us). We were surprised one day when we were talking (video call) about the best tool watch for our personal hobbies... What a coincidence. Thank to you. Very appreciated!
These gadgets are superfluous! I prefer basic I was doing what you're convinced you are doing in the early 90,s. I don't like High tech on my G-Shocks!
Agreed. I don’t mind step counters on a watch but why the Bluetooth? Unnecessary. Stop watch, timer, dual time, excellent light, low profile, vibe alert, g-shock and I’m good.
Dw5600
I have the “Trail Guide” model. I agree about the strap. I changed to a 70s style SS bracelet. One of my most worn watches of ‘24!
The Trail Guide is a nice looking watch as well!!
I’ve had my gw9400 since 2014. Wore it almost nonstop since buying it. I’ve went through 4 straps but it’s the toughest watch I’ve ever seen. I started with the OD green but have since switched it to the all black.
The Rangeman has a deep following. I think all the comments about the Rangeman are pushing me further into that camp. Legit legendary status!!
So,...should I purchase one?
It’s a great reissue. One of the few true to the original…as true as that can be. I believe it’s worth it.
GBD-200 has made my classic squares redundant. 99% of the time I just need to know what time it is, and the large digit MIPS display does that better than my 5610 and 5600. I turn on BT once in a blue moon to synchronize time, the rest of the time it's in airplane mode. The battery is now well into its third year and going strong, so not being a solar doesn't bother me much. BT is unreliable, but that isn't an issue for my use. I'd consider switching if Casio made a simpler and smaller version that omitted the smart and health features and just focused on timekeeping, battery life and a stable BT interface that automatically synced time once a week or so and stayed in airplane mode to save battery the rest of the time. For now, this does everything that I need a beater watch to do - and more.
Excellent points. I like the ideas you shared.
I have a positive display it's great for swimming it's my office watch but you can take it on vacation and it will be fine... The way it's made with recessed buttons and screw down case back it's probably good for 100m
Excellent points
I picked up a 610 in black for $5 at Walmart just the other day!
Wow!!
one is not enough for a true gshock connuiseur
Absolutely
Hi Tim, I have the same model (with the stainless steel bracelet) since a week and it's an amazing product. Excellent dial contrast and nice time reading. I have found your channel and this is one of the few reviews on this dial model (I think is the V4 dial model which was my preference and choice in comparison to the V3 dial). I just loved the way you talked and you explained about the product and I hope to see more of your reviews in the future (now following your channel). Cheers from Italy! Hugo
Hugo, it’s my pleasure and I’m glad we’ve been acquainted through YT. Have a great week.
Thanks Tim!
Thanks again for another great review. The GBD-350 is one of my most worn Casio’s.
The GD350 “Grunt” is my favorite as well because of the vibrate alert. I use it when doing presentations as an alert that I need to wrap up! Have a great week.
This is very cool, but I just like the Square look. I don’t think I would ever buy a G Shock not shaped in the square design. Again that’s just me. Thanks for the great review!
Gbx100 or gbd200 might be more your style then.
Big fan of both, and they are my carry pocket SAK's when I'm wearing belted trousers vs elastic waist shorts (Compact for the WIN). I went with + scales on both Ranger & Huntsman and despite the added width and weight have gravitated to the Ranger, that file is tremendous. That said, the Huntsman with + scales AND the Compacts nail file hook would address a serious deficit in filed use. The Ranger, my ideal SAK would be drop the bottle opener/Can opener layer, swap out the small blade and replace with the Compacts Can Opener/Bottle opener multi tool. Figure out how to keep the awl and slip it into either chisel or screwdriver spring slot. + scales goes together like peas and carrots.... As time goes on, the compromised functionality of the can opening multi tool is less and less of a drawback with pull tab cans phasing out conventional can tops. *If* we have a dedicated layer, shift one side to the multi tool configuration AND use the other side for the Companion package tool saving the main blade's sharpness from mundane edge wear....
All excellent ideas. I like them.
Needs to be Solar. I have the GBD H2000 for over almost a year and it looks brand new. This looks the business though
Agreed. Solar would elevate this watch.
This seems rather awesome! Flatfoot seems like a cool and fitting nickname! Its got a kinda sci-fi tactical look to it. For its function I get the Bluetooth but they really could have gone with solar. I dont get the multiple app thing. Why not just stick to one thing and update and refine it. These MIP Casio's are becoming quite desirable! Hope you are doing well bro! Praying for you!
Solar all the way! I’ll be in touch with you today. I have the day off.
@@Realidealgear No problem! Talk to you soon!
@@Realidealgear This exact watch with Tough Solar would be real ideal.
This watch with solar charging and none of those extra smart features would be a solid 10.
Absolutely
Can we get a petition going for this and send to Casio?
I just like the look of the 5610. Might just be nostalgia, as i wanted the original when it came out but could not afford it.
That’s very true. I’m right there with you.
