Oh man, YES! 🙌 The G-Shock GD-350 in negative display is one of my ALL-TIME Fav's! 🤩 It grew on me too. I absolutely love the quick access countdown timer. 👌 Thanks for sharing, Tim 🙏
Good score! Think I had praised the blackout display of GD350 at your video before. 😉 Had few Casio and G-Shock and this is the only negative display I have. If the positive display is 100% legibility during day time (bright light is presence), negative could be 95%. However, in total darkness when backlight is turned on, blackout display is clear to read while the backlight of the positive display is too bright and making it difficult to read dispite being super bright. If negative display at night is 100% visibility, positive display is only like 75% only. Enjoy the new watch!
My first Gshock, had it for a couple of years then my little nephew showed an interest in it at age 9 so i gave it to him so nice to see his excitement for it. A great watch. Looks really good on you. Thanks for the review
Funny how much more readily Casios are shared with family or friends vs other types of watches. Maybe that helps spread the love of Casios to other more quickly. Thanks for watching!
Great review of fantastic watch. I have many Casio and G-Shocks from cheap to expensive and the GD-350 negative display is my go to watch. Ultra reliable and comfortable with a clear readable display and I don’t have young eyes. Never understood how it’s been under the radar for most collectors. Thanks for the upload 👍
I own this watch. It's a great exercise watch for timing your workout sets. The vibration alarm lets you know when it's time to do your next set when you have ear buds in.
I've been selling Casio watches for more than 10 years. Of all the negative display Casio watches, this is the best. I can actually read the time clearly without using the led lights. And the yellow color makes it very cool 😎.
That is the key, the letters/ numbers are tinted in a way making them more legible in bright/low lights scenarios. Thanks for commenting and have a great week.
I picked this up in 2019 after a week of research with each day ending with a suitable candidate. So after a week there was a shortlist and I'm glad I took my time. Five years later this remains my first and only G shock. The vibe alarm keeps me from models that lack it and the quick launch timer has been very useful. Real praise to whomever thoughtfully put the UI together. Looking at casioaks at the moment and other than looks they just can't compete with the GD-350. I got the negative display and looking to pick up one with a positive display. I'm not too sure about that gold one. Waiting for the one with blue text to come back in stock.
The 350 was discontinued so you won't be going to see the blue text variant be back in stock. The Gold anniversary model is the only one Casio is making and selling at this point.
@@Realidealgear God is good man! Hope all is well with you as well. There is no rush Brother. Both of us are busy and I know you have a lot on your plate! Have a great day! 💪💪
Love to see a good negative display! Love to see you sharpen mower blades! I sharpen mine either with a file (touch up) or with a hand held grinder. But then again, I just have one mower… Thanks for this video!
It’s the only negative display that works under all lighting conditions. The grinder is a dedicated blade grinder sharpening blades in about 60seconds.
This watch brings me a lot of memories think about G-Shock back in the day DW 6900 DW 5600 and the DW 6600 that's what the gd350 reminds me of it's like Casio putting those three watches all-in-one package the gd350 the gd350 is simple it is very well-built and for me it does not matter if it's a negative display or positive display and it's very strong
Have had the GD-350 for about two months now. I agree, it’s an awesome watch. I was holding out to get the gray positive version that had been missing in action for almost a year from Casio’s Brazil website. However when it became available again, there was a great price for the Gold Black version. So I got that one, thought it go well with my GD-400GB, having now two special editions GBs in my collection. The negative display, should you have posted this video might have been more in the running as I too had heard good things about it. Alas, too late and very happy with my GD-350GB. Speculation as to this model being retired I believe is overblown as I’ve heard it for years. I think it’s just a model that sells well and whenever Casio distributes them they go relatively fast.
I couldn’t stop blaming myself for getting GBD-800 with such an illegible negative display, so I bought GD-350 with positive display. However, I heard great reviews about MIP display on GBD-200 and took the risk, but it didn’t disappoint me and it became one of my best Gs !
I'm sitting here eating breakfast with my GD350 on and then good old Tim Johnson pops up with my other good friend Mr GD350. I am sure you don't like hanging around with negative people but he's not like the others.I am looking forward to hearing what you say about him.
Hi, Tim. Nice watch review. I have a negative display Casio AE-1500 and it has the same results with illumination. I sometimes were it to bed for that reason. I have a question about your mower blade sharpener. Is that built specifically to sharpen mower blades or did you customize it? I have the type that fits in my drill and I’m not a big fan of that. Have a great day.
That blade sharpener is specifically designed to sharpen mower blades. The angled piece of metal is set at 30°, which is the ideal angle to sharpen lawnmower blades. It has a massive electric motor and I can sharpen about 30 blades in about 45 minutes.
I hate negative display.I only buy casio with negative if there is no other choice, and I try to fix change it.I thinh its more difficult to read and it doesnt look good...
Agreed you can see this display in the dark I have the gold one with positive display and this one and I can say for sure it's easier to see in all lighting conditions

100% agree across the board. Have a great week.
Interesting points about legibility of either display in the dark

Excellent use for the alarm.
The vibration alarm is great, so good that my mom has taken my w735H and has worn it for 3 years straight now.
It’s the best!

Best negative display on an LCD watch ever. I don't know if it's to do with the colour? The numerals are gold as opposed to the normal grey.
It is the best negative that’s not an MIP display for sure. Have a great week.
Love this watch!
It’s a favorite of mine.

I like the GD-350! Its one heck of a watch and a G-shock I still want to add to my collection! Take care Bro!
It’s a keeper! I hope you’re doing well. I’ll try and get a hold of you tonight or tomorrow morning.

I have to check out the AE1500 neg display. I’ve heard as much or more

Agreed…except this one. It’s just that good.
Good negative display is an oxymoron.
Not for the GD350….it’s the real deal.
