This is a channel for my wildlife footage. I want to show nature at it's finest.
I also want to document the work involved in managing a woodland for nature and show the wildlife found in my wood.
My other channel for Wild Camping/Bushcraft is ua-cam.com/channels/Bn4Lw17Mi3mphwkAU-16FQ.html
Thanks for watching. Steve

Getting closer to nature - Bag Hide
Hi Steve, do you still use that bag hide? I'm hesitant between getting that and a 3D camo suit. That is if I even bother with trying to hide from the deer, I've had some success just by showing up.
I think good fieldcraft is best. Keeping still and quiet with the wind in the right direction (which I'm sure you do) is the best approach. As long as you stay unhuman like as possible by either staying low or breaking up your outline with a suit or bag hide. I used to use a hide for filming birds, but as long as you stay still and quiet you don't need any hide, especialy if you tempt them with food. I've had deer come upto me to check me out if you don't look like a threat. You can use deer calls to attract them (which do work) but make unnatural photos/videos. A bag hide is good for watching badgers at night as they keep you warm! But not that necessary to hide you from them, it's all about scent. Good luck with whatever you choose. Steve
Superbes images de biches. Bravo pour cette vidéo, merci pour le partage et bonne continuation !
Too Bad you do so few videos.
Respect for your work 👍
It's great to own your own woodland.I know
What a beautiful video, I felt completely immersed as if I was taking an early morning walk myself surrounded by all these amazing animals and nature.
Great video. Is that the standard dome hide? How long does it take you to set up with poles? I am thinking if getting one
No ponds in the wood I'm buying as it is on a slope. But after watching your videos and seeing that even the smallest of ponds. Attractive the wildlife alot I Will have to see if I can create a small pond. Great video thanks for sharing.
Wow loads of species' of bird's you are getting to such a small pond. How deep is your pond?
Just found you channel some great woodland footage of the wildlife. My wife and I are currently buying a wood. Not as big as yours just under 2 acres. I'm retired now so getting in to filming. Have took some film in local woods near US at moment. Films on wife's channel Quedgeley wildlife photography. Just subscribed to your channel hope to see more of your work Great stuff. Regards John
What I miss in the all the bag hide designs is none use a 3d leaf pattern. I use a smock, over trousers face hood and gloves which have 3d leaf pattern. No messing about and very mobile. A ghillie suit.
Just discovered your channel I love it...😊
Thank you. I plan on making some more videos soon. I have got another channel, crafty veggie, you may also like? Thanks for watching. Steve.
Where is this ?
hm, missed this one.. I'm having trouble with utube notifications, very very annoying. But I got here on my own account - glad to see a sign of life! And what a great captures again! So cheers, have a nice summer!
Hi. Yes I have been quiet lately. Partly busy with work, covid and a bit disillusioned with youtube. Plus a broken camera! Been out still, just no over nighters. Watched and enjoyed your videos, sorry for not commenting. May be back soon. Steve.
@@wildnatureviews6925 same disillusion here too. ive been logged off for some time and will do so more often. too much fear and hate mongering propaganda. kak! but we did have some fun didn't we!
Lovely nature compendium
Very nice! Loved the female fox calling to her young.
Excellent footage very well produced
Some Wonderful footage X Great to see so many creatures using your pond in the woods X Lovely looking Fox, one of my favourite animals X So nice to see some footage from you again X Thank you X
Please provide with the link to buy the hide. Thanks
I got it from wildlife watching supplies. Steve.
Subscribed just found your site just bought one from Lenscoat took a month to come through but looking forward to using ii now in the field.
The abundance and variety of birds is phenomenal! I love your videos. What State are you in?
Very nice. Thank you. However, that was a red fox, right? What I don't like is that most videos don't say where Exactly the footage is from.
Great video :) please upload more
Fun to watch. Thank you!!
Fantastic footage - a real gem of a pond there
Amazing how many species the pond has attracted - everyone should have one
good moment good shot
LOL - that’s odd! #odd
I’d be pulling up all the Himalayan Balsam! #invasivespecies #biodiversity. ...and shooting the Grey Squirrel.
👍🤚new friend beautiful trailer love it. Excellent filming and lovely scenery’s along with nice music. I subscribed to your channel and hope you will visit mine and subscribe if you like. I love all nature and live in Florida. Hope to hear from you until then have a good day take care 😀
Awesome footage! What camera are you using?
Some great captures there...liking the sly fox...)
Sound is to low .
Amazing that you are able to pick these spots, do You tease them with bits of food?
Good idea to put it in their bedroom! That bird (wren?) sounding the alarm at the vox.. Nice captures good watching thanks
They seldom use the same area to sleep, so I was pleased to capture them there. They were there for about a week. One thing I like about the cameras is that you see natural things, unchanged by your presence. I love to see and hear the animals interact with each other. The fox seems to be constantly followed by screeching birds.
some nice footage , i did like the little hog wandering about, little rare to find...just bought a trail cam for the back of the van on park ups... cheers
It's only the 3rd one I've seen in the wood. Badgers are supposed to find them delicious!
i used to have a lot in and around tamworth where i lived , but for the last ten years living there i hardly seen any ... cheers
27:45 is that another deer's breath we see blowing across the camera view?
I think so, they do find the cameras interesting.
I'm still waiting for you to catch a shot of Sasquatch, maybe some bait might help? I heard he likes peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. ;)
Excellent footage
Thank you very mutch; beautifull
Love love your channel, Very good content. New friend and subby here. you've got my full support of your Channel.😊
Very nice thanks for sharing.
Great video. Is the hide water proof and can it be used with a rifle,,,,,,
There are other alternatives besides bag hide that you can use it to take deer shots actually. In some videos about using camouflage. They use a wired netting like a chiken wire or decorative net to make hides. Then use the environment like the foliage to make a hide from there. Other alternatives is to use a Military Grade poncho and a sniper veil to your advantage. But downside to this is that poncho often times reflect sun light from the waterproof fabric they use and then you need to use the shadow to your advantage. Also it does not have a good space for you to move around. I did found out that from the environment if you have a brier patch or bushes you can cut the unwanted branches from inside and make that into a hide. All you need is a insulating mat, chicken wiring, and a twine or snare wire to attach the netting to the bush inside.
good for watching doggers.
Can just get a burqa , great photo blind !
Funny you should say that - I was thinking about a burqa. But they're mostly black. You'd need a big roomy one.
Great footage, as usual.
nice muntjak
What?! No unicorns?
spijkerpoes Wait till number 9! Steve.
That pool makes a difference..
spijkerpoes It's been a hot summer here too, yes they certainly liked it. Steve.
