  • Exploring a new place, 'Skipwith Common'. Looking for it's resident Fallow deer and other wildlife, familiarising myself with the place, ready for a longer visit.
Skipwith Common Reseve is one of the last remaining areas of northern lowland heath in England.
    Thanks for watching.
    Steve.

It's all those birds, Steve, they give you the need to join them in the sky...either that, or that is an old aerodrome from WWII. lol. I like the awesome early morning scenes with the mist creating a wonderful atmosphere adding an air of mystery to the landscape. Every time that I watch your cinephotography it gives me the urge to get out and about again. Sadly, the rain this week looks to put a dampener on my trips, still I'll have to wait and see. Thanks for sharing the perfect imagery, I always appreciate it more than words can say. Take care...

I'm pleased I inspire you to get out, hopefully this rain will stop (why can't it just rain on a night!) The views are at their best at first light, I started my walk at 4am, hence the need for a rest half way round, haha. Cheers, Steve.

Beautiful Steve :) Love the RAF buildings - I grew up on RAF camps and spent many happy hours hidden away in those sort of places! Enjoyed the final fly past ;)

I have always been fascinated by these bunkers, we hve lots dotted around us. They are a nice link to our past. Thanks, Steve.

Nice aeroplane impression Steve. Do I get a prize for watching to the end?

Haha, I always wonder if people skip the videos? It's surprising when you check the statistics that not many people watch 100% of the videos. Thanks for sticking with it, sorry no prize though!

no didn't see no grownup acting like a kid on a runway.. especially not at the end.
wow nice light in the morning - great captures. I can't manage taking a tripod with me at work. it would improve my shots a lot..
nice little outing, great spot that old airfield. .

I think the whole thing of bushcraft/wild camping is reverting back to being a kid, plus the nearby still in use aerodrome gave me inspiration!
My new lighter camera makes it a lot easier to carry a tripod now, they are invaluable to get the timelaps shots.
We don't have many of those areas left in the UK, it was a great find.

There is a word in Cornish that I think covers all the superlatives for this video. Splann!
Now was that a dragonfly impersonation or a Messerschmitt Bf 109? ;)
