Wiltshire Man That's 3 turtles if seen in 2 years. I had some as a kid, I think a lot of people got bored and released them, I don't think they are doing too much damage? Steve.
Captivating, I sat here spellbound. The Cuckoo often heard but seldom seen. The terrapin, like something in Florida! Good spot, the fresh water muscles, it's like a different country to where I am. Next you'll be showing 'gators crossing the path and lions on the pastures :)
rhialobran It's was a short distance from my usual haunt. I will have to go back, mainly as I lost my small camera bag! The wood is owned by the Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust, a perfect wood for deer. Cheers, Steve.
very relaxing Steve! We don't hear, let a lone see Cuckoos here often now. It's been a long time since I saw a Turtle Dove too. Birds I saw regularly in my youth. There's no connection I know, but now I see Buzzards and Red Kites instead. I used to see Terrapins quite often when paddling on the Chesterfield Canal. lovely music, very apt. All the best, Al
Knucker Red kites are great to see. The cuckoos, as you will probably know, are having a bad time both in Africa and being shot in Cyprus. As for the Turtle Doves, we just don't have the habitat for them here anymore, it's a shame. Cheers, Steve.
An absolutely stunning nature video. The landscapes were breathtaking and the wildlife gorgeous. I tried to do the cuckoo call, then realized that with RA my hands are now too distorted and no longer supple as they were more than 20 years ago, sad. However, this hasn't stopped me from thoroughly enjoying your spectacular video, Steve, your camera work is superb and the scenes very nicely edited. Thanks for sharing. Take care...
Superb, perfect combo of bird id, music and the beauty of nature...atb Steve
Love your music choice Steve and great to see a Turtle Dove, thank you - SpringWatch eat your heart out! 💖
Steve, a super film just full of wonderful wildlife. Loved the song track of birdsong throughout and the stand out call of the cuckoo. Great stuff :-)
Superb shots of the Turtle Doves, I've never seen one, as for the Terrapin I wonder how many are living wild here, they seem to be everywhere.
Fantastic video Steve, loved the music and ofcourse the nature views. We have those terrepin turtle things at the local woodland ponds too.

Thanks John. You can get apps for the phone with bird calls, it definitely helped to draw the cuckoos in. Cheers, Steve.
Lovely film work and music. Who is singing?
The singer is Tia Blake, the song is called 'Turtle Dove', which I thought was very apt, it's a beautifull song from 1971. Thanks, Steve.
Thanks for that - music downloaded from Amazon. My kind of music!

It sounds very modern to say it's from the 70s. I couldn't find much on her?
