Did you know that Sundara and Rudy performed with the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus before moving to Columbus in 2016? I guess you may have seen them when the circus came to your town.

As a volunteer at Potawatomi Zoo, I think the zoo has improved so much! We recently got 2 new bear twins, and a kudu calf born. We also brought in dippin dots stands for people to have ice cream (especially the kids). The new restaurant next to the bear exhibit is a big improvement, along with bringing bears back after 20 long years. We plan to do a whole lot more to the Potawatomi Zoo.

Awesome video, Derek! One of my favorite penguin exhibits would be Penguin Encounter at SeaWorld San Diego. I got to see some Emperor penguins! But I also have a soft spot for the Sea Bird Aviary at the Bronx Zoo. It's a walkthrough penguin exhibit with penguins and Inca terns.

My favorite penguin exhibit is Planet Penguin at Loro Parque in Tenerife. 🙂

Great video Derek. My favorite penguin exhibit is obviously Detroit's, but second place is probably John Ball's because it's open topped and doubles as a free flight aviary.

Aye Derek I highly recommend you to take a trip to Brookfield zoo again sometime next year because they are outdoor habitat for the apes that should be fully built by may 2025! Plus right after they’re done w that part they are gonna do a new phase that won’t be done till 2034!

I’m so glad you got to talk about orangutans! They’re one of my favorite animals. One of my favorite orangutan exhibits is Absolutely Apes at the San Diego Zoo because they are mixed with siamangs. I also love Louisville‘s Islands and I had a lot of fun filming ZooTampa’s Primate World and ZooAtlanta’s Asian Forest.

I might have said that the San Diego Zoo has a new pair of pandas, but did you know that the Smithsonian's National Zoo also got a new pair of pandas? The pandas' names are Bao Li and Qing Bao, and they will make their debut in January 2025. However, Atlanta just sent their pandas back to China in the middle of last month. As of right now, San Diego and DC will be the only zoos for now which have pandas on display in the US.

Glad to see you got some fantastic footage and pictures of the Mountain Goats! The mountain tapir and tree kangaroo are a rare treat as well. And it's always nice to see a proper North American section in a North American zoo as well. Feels like too often in the Midwest zoos that they get kinda separated out.

The Indianapolis Zoo did a better job on their chimpanzee complex than at my local Potawatomi Zoo, which used to have chimps. Until 2020 they moved to Kansas, because they are social animals.

I love this video of the African Savannah at the Fort Worth Zoo, Derek! And to answer your question, my favorite African Savannah exhibits are the Bronx Zoo’s African Plains, to which it’s one of the most influential exhibits because it was one of the first to display a predator and prey display as in the case of lions and nyala antelope, an impressive outdoor exhibit with giraffes and ostriches, and has spotted hyenas and African wild dogs, Grevy’s zebras, Thomson’s and slender horned gazelles, lesser kudu, and an aardvark nocturnal exhibit, and of course, Kilimanjaro Safaris at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, to which it’s the definitive quintessential savannah habitat for all of Africa’s wildlife of all time.

For me, the best African savanna exhibit that I've seen is the Columbus Zoo's Heart of Africa.

My favorite African savanna exhibits are Africa at the Cincinnati Zoo, African Grasslands at the Henry Doorly Zoo and Trails of Africa at the Birmingham Zoo! Happy World Animal Day, Derek! I loved the footage of the rhinos, hippos, springbok and giraffes.

The best Savannah exhibits I've seen are Wild Africa at Binder park, Heart of Africa at Columbus, Africa at Cincinnati, and African Grasslands at the Bronx. This exhibit looks really good too.

I can’t wait to see you do the predators of Asia and Africa section of the zoo and also forests and jungles of the world when it opens.
