What an amazing tour, Derek. To answer your question, I think Francis the tiger from Nashville definitely left a lasting impact on me, because she was very close to the glass. Another animal that left a lasting impact on me was Thorton the great horned owl. Going behind the scenes to see owls can really give you a major respect for them.
It's hard for me to choose between Africa and Jungle Trails. I'm partial to Africa because I love Hippos and the design of most of the exhibits. Jungle trails has some of my favorite Primates, Orangutans, Sifakas, and Aye-ayes, and some nice exhibits of its own, like for the Bonobos.
@@DereksZooVideos0118 I love jungle trails too because of it's indoor habitats. Africa is great but I wish it had more indoor viewing because it was pretty much a ghost town when I visited. But jungle trails and Africa are definitely the best outdoor attractions.
I was hoping after you cover the Birds of the World exhibit, you should cover the new Elephant Trek when it opens up the next time you're in Cincinnati.
@@DereksZooVideos0118 I recently heard this, but Elephant Trek will open in two phases. The first phase (elephants) will open on Oct. 1, but the second phase (Asian small-clawed otters, babirusas, siamangs and rhinoceros hornbills) will open by next spring.
Awesome video, Derek. To answer your question, the zoo animal that had the biggest impact on me was Izu, a lion I saw in March 2019 at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park. I made a tribute to him here: ua-cam.com/video/Y3oHJicq7jo/v-deo.htmlsi=QZcrK51hQ0A3hPVM

Thanks for sharing your stories!
@@DereksZooVideos0118 You're welcome. Another animal that left a lasting impact on me was Teak the orangutan at the Louisville Zoo.
Love this exhibit and the Cincinnati zoo! My favorite exhibit there is manatee springs or night hunters. What's your favorite Cincinnati exhibit?

I am hoping to visit Cincinnati again next year, and I definitely plan on feature the Elephant Trek. It looks awesome from photos.
