Great video, man! The registration process is a little wonky. It's not that bad. For those who fly a DJI mini 2, don't worry about the RFID number. You just need the latest firmware, MFR, model, and serial numbers. Then select the "Built-in" option for the RFID. Good to go!!

Before flying, please make sure to submit a "Flight Plan Notification" to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism and obtain approval from the land and airspace rights managers. How prolific are ski rentals in Japan? Can you demo good skis, etc...instead of taking your own.

i have cast set up on my 4frnt ravens and they are by far the best touring set up ive ever had. most reliable up and downhill. simple and built to last. i bet a pair of looks with a cast setup would outlive 3-4 pairs of shifts.

Everyone is welcome here in Japan ski resorts but please come after learning some of Japanese language. Many ski destinations are in rural areas, and generally speaking locals don't speak English and are pretty shy speaking English. If you know Japanese to some extent, communication with locals will become much more enjoyable for sure.

A great summary and, having just done Niseko after having done Hakuba a couple of times I think a really good reflection of the snow conditions, getting there etc. Well done. One callout for me though would be the vibe and value of the resorts towns. Found Niseko to be far more western with a lot less locals and far more expensive restaurant options relative to Hakuba that generally were both cheaper and far more local/authentic.
