too bad it doesn´t come with an On / Off switch, so every time you use the light you don´t have to set the right color temperature with the manual dials.

Bad purchase! M40 - the fan is so loud! ... completely unusable at 100% for video... this is the loudest fan I've ever heard. When I turn the lamp up to 100%, it's impossible to make sound recordings in the same room. At 50% power it's okay... but that's clearly not the point :-(.

Actually, since it has a cooling fan, is it loud when using it? I'd love to use it for a hair light like you said but I'd be nervous using anything that was emitting a sound of a fan whirring

Hi, I'm hearing you. And agree. My main concern with Canon, seems they are getting greedy. I do use Canon, but I intend on not getting drawn into the expensive side of things. Canon have been pushes their prices way too high, and they seem to hold off from sharing modern features. I may have to change too. Sad really, but that's generally how rich people do business. It seems more and more that they trying to produce strictly for the rich and so called well off. Thanks for your video, Man. Great that you told it as it is.

will this work on a canon r10? Concerned about being stuck at 4k when recording or crop. Those are just some of the stuff ive seen.

What Sony would you suggest with a flip out screen, wide lens and good stabilization?

isn't the EF-S line made specifically for aps-c cameras, so there is no crop factor to apply when you put this lens on an aps-c camera such as the canon sl2 for example?

I have an m50 and I think I might buy this lense… when I can afford it Ofcourse lol

I currently have a canon 700d and I think it might be worth the investment. I already have a sigma 18-250mm but it’s a pretty dark lens at f3.5-6.3 and the images you get are almost always soft unless you use it at the lower focal lengths. The constant fast aperture is quite attractive considering the poor low light performance on my camera. If I ever decide to upgrade to something like the m50 mkii I can always just use it with an adapter so I don’t have to invest in more lenses. I can find 17-55mm used for under $300 but my main concern is that the stabilisation system might be a bit janky, as the OS failing overtime seems to be a well known issue.

if you do a heavy lens setup lets say your a6400 + sigma 70mm combination on the M2S can it handle it?

Hey kyle! Does the 17-55 lose light in f stops as it zooms into 55mm?

Sometimes ibis is not good for video if you are mounting a camera to a car the ibis can still shake even if it's turned off.

The Sony pictures have a color problem. Mainly green hues faintly taint most images. It's a well talked about problem. For both images and video the FUJIFILM X-T3 would be a great choice. I'm searching to buy a videographer camera and loved everything about Sony except their coloration issue. Fuji will always remain a smaller and less corporately recognized company but for me I just want a great camera that's got top quality video. Thanks for your info about Canon. What do you think about the FUJIFILM X-T3?

Would be cool if you guys mentioned things like manual focus in terms of the throw (degree of turn). Looking to pick one up to supplement my Sigma 18-35 f/1.8 but can't seem to find detailed info on how it manual focuses. I personally don't use AF unless I'm taking selfie shots/vlogging type of shots. In 2022 it doesn't make sense to buy brand new though, considering there are many modern f/2.8 zooms for mirrorless at that price. Definitely recommend people to check out ebay or something.

as an M50 owner, I’ve created great content but looking to an upgrade. It’s between the RP and R6. The A7c just can’t cut it as it’s $1800 and involves repurchasing my choice of lenses for the Sony mount (too much cash) With the RP I can get $800 extra for gear and or lenses, with the R6 I drop an extra $700 but have a titan that shoots 4k60 and takes advantage of all my lenses with the adaptor. If I could get the A7c at $1300 taxes included, it’d be different but then gotta go lens buying with that one too

Great video! I have a problem with my Crane MS2.... I've had my crane m2s for a few weeks now and I wonder if anyone is having the same problem I am having... It works well, but when i put it in selfie mode it is totally crooked. When i have it on a tripod and put it in selfie mode it is crooked but then i can see that the motors slowly attempt to adjust it to level but it takes a long time. If i am out and a bout walking with the gimbal in hand and put it in selfie mode it is crooked and does not adjust. Are any of you having the same problem? Is there a fix for this?

I'd have gotten rid of my m50 if I didn't get a speed booster as a gift. the sigma trio also had a hand to play in it. and the constant hope that the m50 build of magic lantern is on the way. I got a cage for my rig and a top handle. with follow focus and an evf along with a dummy battery. I'm carrying around three pounds in my hands and it's not that bad. my main problem has always been the record time limit. and the poor 4k quality. but if I was going to upgrade it would be after I see what the Panasonic and sony collab births. because the sample model so far has really gotten my hopes up. but until then I'm sticking with the m50. after seeing the software logs and the literal settings they disabled for the m50. I'm hoping that by keeping it I'm at least investing in a good secondary camera. canon needs to stop playing

It's always helpful to learn about the pros and cons of a camera from someone who's used it for an extended period of time! Thank you for this video :) When you were using the RP with the adapted EF lens, how good was the auto eye focus when taking photos? Did it perform well in low lighting? What about moving subjects? What percentage of your shots had missed focus? I was seriously considering switching to Sony but eventually changed my mind after seeing reviews that the auto eye focus doesn't work well with adapted Canon EF lenses. I have some Canon lenses that I'd like to use for several more years so that's why I'm now looking at the RP. The eye AF for photos is one of the biggest factors for me, so I'd love to learn more about your experience with it.
