One nice thing about the Hellbringer is that most of the models can be tweaked fairly easily for better survivability and longevity by swapping a weapon or two. B Config (a crit seeker) can sub out the Gauss for an ERPPC for effectively the same combat profile to free up 7 tons at the expense of a hotter mech... that you can tame with 2 or 3 more heatsinks.

I view it as a trap mech. The inability to get away from heavier mechs is terrible and locks you into a fight or die scenario. I guess that's ok if you plan on dying for The Dragon, but it's unfun when trying to make a payday.

This game shows still that the scale is so off sometimes. I mean how come the trees are all higher than the mechs, are they only like 3m tall? :-D

MW2 the reason why the StormCrow is still my all time fave.

Noticed that the very first moment I played MW5. MWO does it better, whereas MW5 feels rushed and UE5 generic. Not that they couldn't, they just didn't care for scale of mechs and actual simulation, but that's PGI and we all know the PGI stories

this is how games work, you render as little as possible where you don't need to render it. games don't actually simulate reality, they give the illusion of it by clever use of space, perspective, textures etc. you'd think people would understand basics like this, but I suppose a lot don't. you'd be surprised just how abstract the design was for oldschool 2D games like side scrollers for the NES for example. look into it its very interesting.

Of clan mechs this is my number 3. With Warhawk at 1 and the Nova at 2. Of course that's clan mechs, I have always preferred IS mechs - Thug life...or an Awesome. On a side note has anyone taken a calculator and added up the numbers to see if the Timberwolf isn't "cheated" by the rules?

I prefer LRM15 ARTMIS over LRM 20, less heat, less ammo consumption and white it doesn't reflect on the DPS because of the tighter spread it does more damage to a single location rather than splashed every where.

First mission going up against a Warhawk made it my favorite. Remember first time seeing the Warhawk frame on the scanner, and then ERPPCs start coming at me out of the haze. And they just kept coming. Couldn't even see the Warhawk visually, and it was pounding my mech. Its stance looked like it was just coming for you.

Ah, Pyre Light mission. I remember the first time playing MW2, that first mission was so epic to me. The music was so epic too.

one of the coolest things ive seen in mw5 mercs, a blood asp firing its lasers in its death and watching the beams head straight down with it. reminds me of the time i watched an enemy mech literally death from above one of my buddies with a flying kick to its head. Think it was a phoenix hawk that did that.

The gargoyle was fun in MWO, you could load him up with a lot of small, short-range weapons and use his speed to close.

I like the Catalyst design as a compromise. Closer to the OG, but still different enough from the source material. That being said, I will forever be grateful to Piranha for standing their ground against Harmony Gold and finally ending that sad saga.

These are NOT Mech Warrior designs at all! Ever heared of Macross? That's where this design comes from. This whole game has all kind of rip-offs from other designers. It's pure crap designer wise! Nothing çlassic' about this crappy rip-off game.

What I'll never be able to understand is why the game devs opted to make a futuristic mech game with laser beams and mech sized fusion generators and ftl communication but the most we can manage in magnification of optics is 2X? Completely absurd.

The Timber Wolf or Mad Cat has been one of my Best mechs I used in the Later going. But I Liked using the Mad Dogs or Vultures too

The MadCat was definitely a good choice for this battle, in a sniper role you need to be fast and displace quickly when you feel like they know you are there and are en route to try to overrun your poition.
